Established in 1943, B. Borooah College is one of the earliest and prestigious co-educational colleges situated in Guwahati in the state of Assam, which was named after the most respected and prominent person of Assamese business Bholanath Borooah. This college grew under the circumstances of World War II. With the support of B. Borooah College Teacher’s Unit (BBCTU) which is a constituent unit of Assam College Teachers Unit (ACTU) the college has been carrying out various plans and programmes for the welfare and overall progress and development of the college and students as well. The college offers various courses from Arts and Science stream to the students. B. Borooah College is accredited with Grade ‘A’ by NAAC, funded by University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated with Guwahati University. - Students need to visit the official website of the college (http://www.bborooahcollege.ac.in/) to apply for the course they are interested in.
- They need to fill-up the form along with necessary details, scanned copies of photo and signature along with payment of registration fee online.
- Selected candidates then need to proceed towards admission that shall be held online as well. For that they need to generate their Unique ID from the Office Web Portal (http://dheonlineadmission.amtron.in/sp/) that is developed by the Director of Higher Education Assam.

I applied to many other colleges and universities online i also attempted CUET examination but i choosed B Booroah among all other colleges because it has the best rating and it was also comfortable and easy for me to come to collage rather than far other collages, other near you institutions were cotton university, but it doesn't have as regular classes as b booroah so thats was the main reason for me to choose B Booroah collage

- The thing I dislike about the college is that the classrooms are very hot and I can't attend any classes because of that.

I applied in a total of 4 colleges from which I chose B.borooah college because it was the best among all. This college also received a grade of A++ by NAAC which is only 1 in entire NorthEast. The admission process is quite simple and the minimum percentage required to get admission is 75%.

- The environment in our colage is very good. It has all the facilities. Mainly it has planty of water purifier which is most important for such a hot summer day

I have chose this college for my own experience and my all order family members are involved in this college. They are teaching staff, the faculties and all order infrastructure and are studying quality. The quality of the Dey used to teach us is very good rather than other colleges, other colleges have their own other internal functions and all, but in our college, they are mainly focusing on on our building knowledge and building our own personality.

- Fee structure was high for our masters programme. It could have been a little less.
Admission:
You have to complete bachelor in botany to take admission in masters in botany. After appearing in pg entrance exam of gauhati University, merit lists will be published. Forms will be out from B.barooah college and then students will be admitted to course according to merit list of university pg entrance exam.

- Faculty members are very friendly you can always go up to them and ask about your queries without hesitation

- Some of the rooms are old and they do need some repairings
- Overall infrastructure can be improved a little

We had applied online for admission after getting selected through samarth, we had to go to the college for document verification and that was it one thing that I didn't like was the reservation policy because when an average student was scoring 70 percent that student didn't admission but the student who scored 50+ that student easily got the seat and the cut-off for that subject was 80 just because the student who scored 50+ comes from reserve category he/she easily got that seat without any hustle.

- Good teacher, goos canteent food, various major option, college fest is also good, college week is also top notch, rooms are spacious

- Need mordern teaching methods, nothing else, pretty much good and average for a government college

Admission process was on basis of merit and after that one needs to sit for exam held by each dept. You can sit in as many exam you want. After that each dept comes up with a list of selected students on the basis of marks scored on the test.

- Faculty is pretty good. The teachers are very friendly and they are always willing to help out the students when ever they need help.
- The teachers of my departments are particularly very helpful

- The campus near to be much more big in its size.
- The bathrooms are not always very clean.
Admission:
The admission process is pretty hectic. It completely is based on merits of the students and if you don't get a certain percentage, it is very difficult to get into the college. There's a certain percentage. If one gets above 75%, you do have high chances into getting into the college with an honours.
