Our annual techno-cultural fest meraz is best of all however it is yet to bring huge celebrities.
The hostel facilities are very good as the rooms are very well maintained with proper ventilation and acs.
The course curriculum here is comprehensive and forward-thinking, strongly emphasising interdisciplinary learning.

Dislikes

The seniors over action and they over react for every stuff without listening to others and name us bad infornt of everyone
Lack of sports culture in the campus due to studious students
Not alot but there's a bit of politics over here where the heads try to incubate their own people

IIT Bhilai Review

Placement Experience:

According to the new IIT, the college still offers a good selection for CSE. The university placement committee is extremely helpful and cooperative. The placement committee guides us but also assists us in selecting a good company for us and in each round of placement. Our batch's highest package was around 20 LPA, and the average package was around 9.50 LPA. During the internship program, some of my classmates received pre-placement offers. During the placement drive, companies such as Robert Bosch, CDAC, VMWare, GSoC, IITs, Carrier Midea, Think Future Technologies, Amazon, Commvault, Paytm, Air Asia, ABB, TCS Research Innovation, L&T, Reliance Jio, and others visited our campus.

IIT Bhilai Review

Placement Experience:

There are many examples that new colleges are not able to provide placement for the first batch being part of the first batch also comes with a drawback of no placement but it is not with IIT Bhilai. The college manages to invite a good number of companies and the college was successful in inviting more than 75+ companies for the college placement drive which is a very good achievement for the college. The highest placement offer was around 21 LPA and the average salary offer was 11 LPA which is something unexpected.

Placement Experience:

In a very short period of time, the college provides very good placement packages. The highest package was around 20 LPA and the average package is around 10 LPA. All thanks to the placement committee of the college as they are aware that to compete with the best in business they have to focus on the placement drive and by helping us to receive good packages. The college placement is very cooperative and they help us through the college placement rounds so that we are able to receive good packages.

Placement Experience:

This field has a lot of job and placement prospects. Jobs with large pay packages are accessible in both the public and commercial sectors. On-campus recruitment is available at the college. In addition, the college offers placement training during the screening process. Placement Experience:

The highest package offered is 31 lakh percentage of student place is good for CS, Data Science but is low for mechanical student many students go for higher study for this reason. But many students get place off-campus as they are not selected in campus placement.

As this IIT is 3rd generation but still growing faster than other 3rd gen IIT. In upcoming two years they will have the own permanent campus, now they have transition campus.

Is life at super new IITs like Dharwad and Bhilai boring?

Life at IIT Bhilai is great.

The labs are open 24*7 for access, and the annual techno-cultural fest of IIT Bhilai ‘Meraz’ is the biggest in Chhattisgarh. It takes place after 1st tierce exams, which are held in September. The hostels have recreational rooms with TV, TT tables and Carrom Boards. Badminton courts are also available for hostellers. There are plenty of clubs at IIT Bhilai, like the Electronics Club (Electromos), the Dance Club, the Music Club, etc. You can apply for any of these.

Apart from the fest, Inter IIT competitions and Diwali celebrations take place during odd semesters. The highlight of even semesters is Prayatna, the Inter-College Sports League. It lasts for 2 months, and is a lot of fun. You can either participate in the league or cheer for your friends. The college also hosts Smart India Hackathon and Cult Night in which the Music, Dance and Dramatics Clubs showcase their talent. Then, there are Holi Celebrations.

No college is boring, be it IIT Dharwad or IIT Bhilai. Each place has its own clubs and societies. It totally depends on you whether you spend your time sitting in the hostel room, or participate in various college activities.
