Faculty

Total faculty there would be around 15-20 students and the relation of faculty is good, I cannot reveal the names because the faculty is very good and the exams of this college are held twice in every semester. One mid sem and one final sem exam pattern is according to the syllabus, sometimes hard and sometimes moderate, If any guest faculty comes to the college and teaches us some subject, then he fails the children because they do not know the marking scheme properly.

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually in this college there is so mess in fee structure I am from 2023 batch first they give us broucher for fee approx 136 thousand per year after 1 year they change their broucher and We are forcefully told that now you will have to pay 172 thousand. So for now the fee is between 1720-190k per year. And here scholarship is available only for category students, maximum 20k per year .

Campus Life

There are mainly two events AARUSH and MILAN. AARUSH is a technical event and MILAN is cultural event. Both of these events lasts for 4 days and have a myriad of events to compete in. Coming to Libraries, it has plethora of books on every topic. You name a book, there are very high chances of the library having that book. Each and every classroom has a regular blackboard along with a digital board as well as a projector. There are plenty of clubs/groups for every domain.

Course Curriculum Overview

I study mechatronics and the aspect of curriculum which influnced me was the courses. It is a well rounded curriculum which covers all the major aspects to become an mechatronics engineer. One thing is the number of lab course could been better. The exams follows pre planned schedules and announced well before a week. The frequency of exams are well spaced and even throughout the semester making the learning process a continuous one.

Placement Experience

From what i have heard the min CGPA required for campus placements is 7 and the Average package was around 10.49 LPA the highest however was 51LPA. The number of recruiters were around 200+ , the companies that visited are Accenture, Wells Fargo, TCS, Deloitte, Amazon, Microsoft, Google and many other companies. The placement rate was around 72% to 73%. My plan after getting my degree is to continue with my job in Australia for around 2 to 3 years and pursue my career in aviation i.e. become a pilot

Faculty

The student-faculty relations are nice cuz we have a system called student mentor where every student has a mentor and the mentor meets with him and asks him how his studies, and life in general is going on around 6 times per semester so its a pretty good number. Again in every college there are very good, ok and teachers who dont care and i wouldnt reveal their names but i would like to say that in 1st year the 1st sem chemistry, evs, bet teachers were the best yet.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is 9650 rupees per year. At the admission time you may cost the amount as per your caste category. As an OBC, it costed me 16000 at the beginning. There is a scholarship called e grantz which is available for everyone exception general category student.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was my decision to choose mechanical engineering as my stream and career. The reason is it includes logical thinking, reasoning and a lot of physics. The system is a little old fashioned and bookish. Focusing more on work based learning is part which need improvement.

The college has a simple straightforward method of 2 exams per semester that are taken on an epad and not on pen and paper. The labs are well equipped and all necessary tools are provided. The exams are a little hard but its on an adequate level for engineering.

Placement Experience

The placements are pretty varied basis on your cgpa and interviews the companies select a handfull of the students about 30% students are placed in mechatronics every year, and more overall, mostly cs students have the most preference.

The overall experience on this campus is very very awesome. Being a North Indian, all you need to do is find other north indians who will then make tour time even more special. Had thebcollege focused on fests more, this thing would have been a lot more interesting.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are many subjects that feel absolutely irrelevant. But still the faculty manages to make it a bit more interesting rather than just teaching for the sake of it. The subjects are many which would also help to keep busy and motivated.

Faculty

There are too many sections to count , the student faculty relationship is not bad and I didn't find any difficulty approaching teacher, but there are some teachers where you know you should be cautious before approaching. The faculty for EEE department are so tough to approach. So about the exam pattern we have 3 internal exams, 1 practical exam per subject and a final semester exam we will have marks of the internal exams according to the credits of the subjects. The courses which I study now will be helpful in future but some courses like basic civil engineering I don't know what will I do by studying that.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees per sem for the first year in 85k and it increases 5% for every sem. The fees is almost similar to every one of my friend so there is no fees concession for category with the knowledge I have about the fees structure. There are scholarships available for students and I don't know about the details. Overall it is one of the best university.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees per year is 2,50,000 and they provide the scholarship based on SRMJEEE rank upto 100% and also they provide performance based scholarship upto 25% , and also they provide army scholarship. The admission fees is 10,000 ( one time payable ). The exam fees will vary from semester to semester (approx fees 3200 - 3600 )

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1:10. Most of the faculty completed phd and the faculty are very friendly with the students and they clear every doubts which is asked by the student and they guide the students. Most of the students will clear all the subjects.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is pretty good there are different mentors for different groups of students who help the students in different aspects. There are a total of 4 exams which include mid terms for theory and lab exams and finals for theoruly and lab exams, apart from these class tests take place and three online exams for aptitude

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities are pretty good recently a student was placed for 1400000 and 6 or 7 students were placed for 800000. The students get eligible to get placed based on their cgpa that is 6.5 minimum. The companies are such as cateripillar.

Faculty

The faculty members are very helpful and assist the students with projects and help bring the other ideas to life. The course structures are in a way that the students have 4-5 mandatory subjects with 1-2 optional subjects that they can opt from. On an average each semester has 5-6 subjects for each department. The exam system is also very straight forward. There are two mid term examinations and one final examination per semester. The mid term is of 30 marks each where in the best of the two mid terms is considered for the final grading. The mid term is conducted by the college only. The final examination is of 70 marks where there are objective as well as subjective questions. The final examination is conducted by the university under which the college is affiliated with. The course curriculum for the exams is provided to the students early on which helps the students prepare in advance. The paper checking and marking schemes for the mid terms was liberal as it was conducted by the college itself. The final examination papers were checked by the board faculties from all over Gujarat state and there the marking schemes depended entirely on the faculty member checking your paper. All the faculties were good at what they did in their own particular ways. No negative comments for the faculties on my part.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very relevant to the selected course. There is enough learning and practicality in the course contents to make he student ready for real world applications. But no matter how much academic knowledge a student has, the real challenges will only come forth when the student steps out in the industrial or corporate market. The course curriculum was good, however there are areas for improvement where the student should be given the option to choose the subjects all he/she wanted to opt for consider their interests. There should be a major minor system where the main field related subjects and the minor subjects both are aligning with the students' areas of interest. The courses were detailed enough for the students to dive deep into the topics and make the most out of them. The practicals along with the theory section also helped with the basic understanding of how certain phenomenon and methods work in the real world. The timings and frequency of examinations is fine as it is and there is ample time for students to get a breather in between the exam and assignments.

Course Curriculum Overview

I like this course so i choosed it. I am allwas interested in this course so it the main reason i joined this college. The college doesn't only teach the subject but also the life lessons and the word outside the job vacancies and all. Already the college has high graded labs and equipment which students can also use so there is no scope for further development Already srm is fast in these kind of things never understatement srm. After completing the 2 unis there will bebone ct the frequency of exams depends upon the facility and the time taken to complete the capters. For every 45 days there will be some exams

Faculty

The faculties here in the SRM are highly educated and experienced professionals with high knowledge. The relationship with students is also very good and friendly and available at anytime. The best facilities are mechanics and computer systems because it the most growing thing now so they help you much. There are no faculties which i don't like eveu faculties are the best here and are trying to give ghe best. There are 3 mid exams and one semester exams. The exams depends on the students if the person studies well he might feel it easy or he might feel tougher. It all depends on the puple and students

Placement Experience

Our mechatronics Engineering strength would be around 100 members. So, providing placements for these 100 students is not a big deal. As of my seniora most of the students would be placed in placements and placement process would start from 3rd year

Faculty

A batch of students will be having a Faculty advisor. The course curriculum is not much revelant is somewhat outdated. In span of 4 months 3 exams and a sem exam for each subject. We should not depend on the faculties,we should study on our own

Faculty

It has good faculty ratio .Around 645 to 10000 students .If you are a sincere student who follows the professor you will easily pass the subjects and they are very much approachable too. I personally liked all my faculty members but here are some favourites Dr Ishwar Bhiradi as he is my faculty advisor for my student team and club and he taught me manufacturing technology and also Dr Raghavendra Rao He taught me Control Systems and Power Electronics .He has a lot of experience in his field . Their arent any faculties whom i dont like as such but one must not create bad impressions sometimes leading to less marks. There are 6 subjects and 2 Labs per sem .It may vary according to the branch .First year difficult subjects are Basic Electronics ,Engineering Maths 2,Basic Electrical Technology and Problem Solving using Computers where people fail to clear .Even i found them difficult but passed them altough grades where low .So to pass these subjects make good notes but the paper difficulty is high as notes arent sufficient .high practise and understanding is required

Campus Life

Overall Campus life is fun .Best times are the concerts of Revels(Annual Fest) and Competitions of TechTatva(Techical Fest) these are held in months March and October respectively. You can celebrate your important events in clubs and enjoy your surroundings like beaches and temples .Its serene environment is worth the visit .Studying in library is fun as MIT Library has all types of books its a huge range .The facilities and technological provisions are top notch .They havent compromised on that. Sports and extracurricular activities are on another level. There are special sports clubs or teams which are the governing body of Manipal . Every student needs is digitalized for example dotfood ,campus taxi, changepay ,Apps like marketplace ,Cabshare and Allmighty .Their are official Student Projects and Student Clubs in MIT .One can read about all the clubs in the MIT manipal official site .Overall my journey has been fun.from being an average transitioning to a passionate and lifelong learner makes me cherish these memories as all of it will be worth in the end

Faculty

The faculty members of the college are very good and they are very kind hearted and helping. I am from Kerala and i don't know marati well. So to cop up with that many faculties use English only instead of marati and Hindi. It is a huge inspiration to students that is not from Maharastra The exam structure- There will be 3 UT (Unit Test) in each semester After 3 UT they will conduct the Semester exam Generally they will take best of 2 from the 3 UT (50% of the end result) And 50% of the semester exam The passing mark is 10/25

Campus Life

Campus Life is very good. There are many classes and exercises that help us socially There is a class called IDSC which focuses mainly on communication skills and social skills. It has helped me a lot. There are many clubs in the campus I personally have joined a Google Developers club that focuses on improving computer related skills In that club I have opted for cyber security as it is my interested subject Library facilities are also available. There is an app which provides every details on books in the library.

Placement Experience

The campus have placements. From 9th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. To be honest good options for mechatronics engineering is very low. Maybe because its due to the courses unpopularity. Minimum above 70 percentage required for students to getting placements. My plan after completing this course is going to Germany.

Campus Life

Mainly there are two festivals are in college. They're BLOOM and NSITE. They both are really awesome and cool. There is several clubs in my college like IEDC, IEEE, NCC, NSS. And these clubs are really awesome. And students from our college can participate several workshops everywhere. But the expense should be carried by themselves.

Ques. CSE (with AI & ML) in Manipal University Jaipur or Mechatronics / Mechanical in Thapar University? Which to choose?

● Top Answer By Aditi Banerjee on 22 Mar 23

Ans. Honestly speaking, both Thapar University and Manipal University are reputable institutions for a B.Tech in computer science. So the decision on which one is better for you ultimately depends on your personal preferences and priorities. is  Thapar University is a highly esteemed, private engineering and technology university located in Patiala, India. Known for its strong academic programs and rich research culture in computer science, this university has it all. Additionally, it offers a range of student services, including career counseling and internships. Manipal University, on the other hand, is a private university located in Manipal, India. It is one of the oldest and most established universities in the country and is known for its iRobot programs in CSE. The university has a number of student-driven bodies that promote extracurricular activities. Some factors to consider while choosing between the two include  Proximity to hometown campus life Fees and other expenses  CSE Program offered Both the colleges are almost similar in all aspects. So what actually matters is that if you live in the North, choose Thapar but if you are from the south choose Manipal. Both universities have the same fee and both are equally reputed private colleges after BITS. So I would suggest that whichever college is near your hometown go for it. Ultimately, both universities are highly esteemed institutions and either one would be a decent choice for a B.Tech in computer science.Read more

Ques. How is the mechatronics branch of Thapar University?

● Top Answer By Gargi Sharma on 10 Aug 21

Ans. The branch is new to the university but your scope in it will be really good. It is a blend of mechanical, electronics and control, software, and computer engineering. According to the latest trends, this will be a really good combination for the latest job requirements. As a student, you will get to learn concepts on control, design, and analysis. Basically, as a mechatronics graduate, you will be a master of many domains. This is surely a major plus point and you will be able to use these skills for research purposes. Just ensure that you will work hard since there is a lot of wide scope for post-graduation. This is mainly true for universities abroad. The placements are good too.Read more

Ques. How good is a BTech in Mechatronics from Manipal University, Jaipur?

● Top Answer By Subham Roy on 21 Oct 20

Ans. Manipal University is ranked amongst the top engineering colleges in India. Mechatronics engineering is a highly favorable specialization in B.Tech at the university. The institute aims to provide highly research-intensive training and various live projects for a better understanding of the topics and making learning interesting for students. Admission: Candidates who qualify the minimum eligibility criteria, need to give the JEE Mains paper, and only if the cutoff published by the university which tends to be between 1300-4000 matches the marks of the candidate, the admission is provided to them. The total number of seats for which admission is taken in Mechatronics is just 70. The fees for the Mechatronics engineering course is almost 10 lacs for the whole four years including all sort of charges. The university provides scholarships on the basis of the student’s academic performance. Course curriculum: The course curriculum for Mechatronics is the fusion of practical lessons which take place either on the field or in labs and in-depth research-based theories. Many practice papers are also given to each of the students. Students get proper exposure to the field with the help of site visits, boot camps, research projects, etc. The curriculum is upgraded regularly. Faculty: The most favorable part of the mechatronics department's professors is that the majority of them have worked with some companies and have industry experience and connections. They help students also with pre-placement training. Infrastructure: The Mechatronics department has its own library which consists of all types of books related to the subject. The laboratories inside the department are equipped with modernized instruments to carry out research and academic works. Placement: If we talk about the previous year placement data, the placement rate was 89% and the top recruiters who gave bulk amounts of jobs to the students were Julphar, Coreel Technologies, T&A HR solutions, Valeo Engine, and electrical system Pvt Ltd. The Highest salary was around 48 lacs per annum. Mechatronics engineering at Manipal University is worth every single penny used in the study. The University is well renowned and provides an environment for better opportunities, experiences, and learning.Read more

Ans. Ganpat University Mehsana offers a decent Megatronics course. As compared to other colleges in Gujarat, it has better labs and infrastructural facilities for the Mechanical and Mechatronics departments.  But Ganpat University placement scenario is not that good. There is almost little to no placement for the Mechatronics branch. Although many companies come to the institute for placements, most prefer Mechanical students over Mechatronics students.Read more
