Candidates preparing for any of the above-mentioned entrance examinations are advised to take note of the preparation tips given below:

  • Be thorough with the syllabus. Most Engineering Entrances cover the subjects of Chemistry, Maths, and Physics. Candidates seeking a good score are advised to study according to the topics to efficiently keep track of their progress and manage time properly.
  • Decide on Exam Preparation material early, and stick to the decided Textbooks/ Prep Material throughout their study. This will help the student avoid confusion, especially towards the end.
  • Practice with Previous Year’s Papers. This is the best way to become completely familiar with both the content and format of the examination. Practicing will also improve the student’s speed in completing the tougher sections. It will highlight the areas that require additional focus and preparation.

How to get admission in a good BTech Mechatronics college?

To secure admission into a top-ranked BTech Mechatronics college, a number of factors come into play. Some of the following tips will be helpful in that regard.

  • Be aware of the types of questions and the difficulty level of the questions asked in different entrance exams. Some papers are comparatively easier to attempt than the others. This will help in better preparation.
  • Since questions are asked from the syllabus covered at the 10+2 level of schooling, going over the material and notes would be sufficient. Revision of all basic concepts must be done.
  • Some papers have an English section and an Aptitude section. Preparation for these sections can be by practicing past papers.
  • Be aware of all dates and deadlines. Examination application dates, exam dates etc. are changed and advertised in all major newspapers. It is important to keep track of any such news.
  • Take a look at the daily news and affairs of the world regularly. Keeping up to date with the news will help in preparation for the exam and counseling round but also act as a break from studying.

Faculty

The faculty members of the college are very good and they are very kind hearted and helping. I am from Kerala and i don't know marati well. So to cop up with that many faculties use English only instead of marati and Hindi. It is a huge inspiration to students that is not from Maharastra The exam structure- There will be 3 UT (Unit Test) in each semester After 3 UT they will conduct the Semester exam Generally they will take best of 2 from the 3 UT (50% of the end result) And 50% of the semester exam The passing mark is 10/25

Campus Life

Campus Life is very good. There are many classes and exercises that help us socially There is a class called IDSC which focuses mainly on communication skills and social skills. It has helped me a lot. There are many clubs in the campus I personally have joined a Google Developers club that focuses on improving computer related skills In that club I have opted for cyber security as it is my interested subject Library facilities are also available. There is an app which provides every details on books in the library.

Placement Experience

The campus have placements. From 9th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. To be honest good options for mechatronics engineering is very low. Maybe because its due to the courses unpopularity. Minimum above 70 percentage required for students to getting placements. My plan after completing this course is going to Germany.

Campus Life

Mainly there are two festivals are in college. They're BLOOM and NSITE. They both are really awesome and cool. There is several clubs in my college like IEDC, IEEE, NCC, NSS. And these clubs are really awesome. And students from our college can participate several workshops everywhere. But the expense should be carried by themselves.

So i belonged to mechatronics engineering where we studied combination of three branches which was computer science, mechanical and electronics.the syllabus was quite difficult since you basically studying different domains but the faculty where good at teaching and they provided clear instructions and guidance in order to prepare for exams so it was easy to clear the exams. Moreover the HOD is quite disciplined when it comes to studying so you maintain that grip.

Campus Life

In terms of Campus Life I would say its the best among the country. They host TechFest which is the annual technical event where you showcase your innovative projects. They also host Dhoom which is their annual cultural event. morever in between they host many small departmentwise events which for sure promote networking amomg students and faculty

The fee structure for my academic program is 90000 per academic year. Over the course of the program which lasts for. Currently, no scholarships are available for me, which means I am responsible for covering the whole fee. Every semester they will include lab charges in the name of breakage fees, thats sounds irrelevant and unwanted to me.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum that is assigned by the college is extraordinary. But the implementation of that particular program was not upto level in hands-on experience, thats what the drawback I felt in the previous years. The course is completed on time, and exams are held semester-wise.

Faculty

the faculty to student ratio is lesser compared to other colleges as it is a new gen iit it is around (1:40), personally i am in mechanical engineering so the faculty there is just amazing and they have indepth knowledge of their respective stream. i have been personally very inspired by Dr. Rahul Jain (ast.prof manufacturing and mechanical) he is one of the top prof of our college and his grasp on his stream is commendable. there is no such faculty that i did not like. so basically there are 2 major exams which is the mid-sem and end-sem and there are some quizes in between depending on the faculty taking the course. the level of the exams are accurate to what is taught in the course classes which can me moderate to hard. the failing percentage vary through out the courses but on an average it is lesser than 5% the course curriculum is pretty relevant according to industry needs

Known for its strong academic programs and rich research culture in computer science, this university has it all. Additionally, it offers a range of student services, including career counseling and internships. Manipal University, on the other hand, is a private university located in Manipal, India. It is one of the oldest and most established universities in the country and is known for its iRobot programs in CSE. The university has a number of student-driven bodies that promote extracurricular activities. Some factors to consider while choosing between the two include  Proximity to hometown campus life Fees and other expenses  CSE Program offered Both the colleges are almost similar in all aspects. So what actually matters is that if you live in the North, choose Thapar but if you are from the south choose Manipal. Both universities have the same fee and both are equally reputed private colleges after BITS. So I would suggest that whichever college is near your hometown go for it. Ultimately, both universities are highly esteemed institutions and either one would be a decent choice for a B.Tech in computer science.Read more
