Overall review IIT Jodhpur

Likes

Good course and faculty is also supportive.
Good extra curricular activities you will enjoy.
Sport facilities are also excellent having all facilities.

Dislikes

Weather of Jodhpur is not that much good so it might be bad in summer.
College is located for from the city so I have to travel long for going to markets
Sometime you have to travel long distance to attend your class

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good companies do come here and you will get about lpa as an average salary placements are very much good for the circuit of branches and as you go on the core branches the placement styles are not that much good but it's good enough that you will be getting placed in some company if you are working

Wonderful iit Jodhpur campus life

Likes

The campus life and the campus is wonderful and super .
The mess food and the lunch is avg and dinner is good.
For non veg Lovers its festival weekly as weekly two times chicken and 2 times egg and alternativ days egg and still friday fish or egg again

Dislikes

Laundry is there but for the personal use if there is a washing machine it will be good
Its too much hot and normal water but no hot water for drinking.only kettle

Placement Experience:

From sixth semester the students are eligible for the campus placements. Microsoft google,delotte mahindra tata motors and many companies offer placements here. Here the students get more than 93% for placements. My plans after getting degree is to enjoy my life with my job

My college life

Likes

I like here Fresh and green which is like a big mart.
And mess food is very hygiene and healthy. With balanced diet.
The labs have all facilities and safety measurements are followed strictly in labs

Dislikes

I don't like college time table it is not good there are 2 hours gap between every class.
The Monday breakfast is not very much good here.
Since the campus is huge it takes some time to travel from any pace to another place

Placement Experience:

After completing the sixth semester the college students are eligible for the campus placements. Microsoft, Google, Amazon, deloitt , EY, Barclays PSU, tata motors,mahindra,ISRO are companies visited the campus and made many offers to different types of students. Microsoft offered highest package for this college student of 61lakhs per year.The percentage of this students in college placements are more than 90%. My plans after getting degree is to develop more skills and increase the salary i already got.

Likes

the college campus and accomadation is wonderfull.
mess has variety of food served for students including south indian dishes
college has multiple number of clubs which are free to join for all students who are intrested

Dislikes

the college is located in rajasthan it is very hot during summers but all rooms include ac
the campus is very big difficult to go from one place to another place
far from my home town it takes me 2 days to reach by train

course curriculam is very good they include many labs and project to improve real life solving skills there are two majorly considered exams mid sem and end sem and many quizes are conducted in between the semester

Single AC rooms in hostels provide privacy and beat the heat in summers
Hostel walls are made up of large stones which helps in insulation from heat
The campus is pretty big and one can easily roam in the free time

Dislikes

Problem of water sometimes due to its location
Mess food is not so good, it is the case for almost all days barring one or two
Less eateries, but many more things like dominos are coming up now

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester they are aligible, many big companies like Google, Amazon, Blackrock, Flipkart come here during the placement season. In the circuital branches the percentage of students gettig placed is 80+ mostly.

In our branch 80 percentage of the students we placed and our course was having good upscales Highest 55LPA, lowest 5LPA , Average 18LPA Google was one of the top recruits in our course 80 percentage of the students were got internship SDE, Produ
Yes we have better seniors and social connections
The faculty are extremely knowledgeable and helpful

Dislikes

Quality of food is not that good but manageable
The transportation facilities are not good
Food delivery to the campus is not available as we are far from city

Life at IIT Jodhpur

Likes

The college campus is pretty new and hence the infrastructure are pretty good.
The mess of IIT Jodhpur is said to be one of the best mess at IITs.
The presence of ACs in every building makes this place comfortable for students.

Dislikes

The courses here are very much focussed on students who want to go for research and ignores those who want to get into corporate or any other domain.
The campus is very away from the city which makes the commute for small things to city very difficult
There are frequent power cuts here and makes it impossible yo survive in summer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is very thorough at IIT Jodhpur. Moreover the students are very competitive. Teaching method mostly focusses on research and motivates students to go for further studied and research rather than getting a job. Exam difficulty level is medium to hard. However they prepare you for dealing with application based questions.

IIT Jodhpur College Review

The campus is nearly 900 acres. Filled with lot of amenities like sports grounds, indoor sports facilities, in-campus shops for daily amenities along with food courts with vendors like zorko.
All the students are provided with single rooms with AC in each room. The room is spacious enough to accommodate a single person. Hostels also have open space for multipurpose usage and a vending machine in nearly every hostel.
The college fests and events are something to admire. Events are well-planned and managed by students community with EDM and DJ nights, along with some famous artists being called like Shirley Setia, Salim-Suleiman etc.

Dislikes

Some of the faculties are not good here. Some of them are very rude to students, and is difficult to connect with them when its of utmost need.
Here, the mess food is very bad. The food is literally tasteless, with breakfast being the only tasty meal of the day. Hygiene is also an issue here, with the mess having bad odor.
During the past couple of months there's been frequent power cuts as well as shortage of water supply. The campus authorities do not even inform students beforehand regarding such activities.

Placement Experience:

In my college, the placement process commences after the 7th semester. Some of the companies that come in my college are Google, Amazon, Visa, Zomato along with some core companies like HPCL, BPCL, Mahindra etc. As for the highest package, IHI gave the PPO of about 1cr yen and for on-campus, Google gave the highest package. As for the placement, nearly 60-70% of students receive job offer by the end of 8th semester. As for me, I plan to receive my PPO offer and take it up later on.

Experience at IIT JODHPUR

Likes

I like college culture and fests held at iit jodhpur.
Campus infrastructure and facilities and faculty and teaching staff.
Hostel rooms ,single room is provided per each student

Dislikes

Mess food only for south students,mostly mess food items are northern side.
Campus is away from the city,although college provides transportation every day to city
Water issues, water is recycled many times

In our college campus placements are takes place hugely. From 5 sem onwards students eligible for doing internships and from 7 sem onwards students eligible for campus placements Google,amazon,infosys,adobe,flipkart etc .more than 1000 offers per year. Highest packages above 60 lakhs per annum. Average Package is about 30 lakhs per annum. 90 to 95 percentage of students are getting placed. After degree i have a plans to do startup company.

The placement is very nice almost 95 percentage of student got placed in 2024 and with an average ctc of 15 lpa. Many big companies visit the campus like Google microsoft and Goldman Sachs also facebook.
