- Here, the mess food is very bad. The food is literally tasteless, with breakfast being the only tasty meal of the day. Hygiene is also an issue here, with the mess having bad odor.
- During the past couple of months there's been frequent power cuts as well as shortage of water supply. The campus authorities do not even inform students beforehand regarding such activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well-planned and designed designed, keeping in mind the current industrial needs. I took my course based on my interest in Electrical engineering. The subjects, assignments, and labs are made to match the market demands. the curriculum becomes a bit hectic as we go from 2nd to third year. We have four labs of 3 hours, along with weekly assignment submissions and surprise quizzes. I
Internships Opportunities
In my college, internship season starts in the month of August(start of 5th semester) and continues until the end of the May(end of 6th semester). They offer internship for various roles like SDE intern, Data Analyst, Product Manager, Quant roles etc. Projects related to the job profile are very helpful during the shortlisting of the individual. Also, knowledge related to DSA is must along with other skills like web development, machine learning, core CS fundamentals like OOPs, DBMS, OS, Networks are a plus/
Placement Experience
In my college, the placement process commences after the 7th semester. Some of the companies that come in my college are Google, Amazon, Visa, Zomato along with some core companies like HPCL, BPCL, Mahindra etc. As for the highest package, IHI gave the PPO of about 1cr yen and for on-campus, Google gave the highest package. As for the placement, nearly 60-70% of students receive job offer by the end of 8th semester. As for me, I plan to receive my PPO offer and take it up later on.

Hostel Facilities
Every student is provided with a single room in the college. Each room is fitted with AC, along with a table, chair, bed, and an almirah. Dimensions are nearly 8x10 feet. You need to get your own mattress, pillow, and bedsheet, or you can purchase them after you come to the college. Since the campus is very vast, you can purchase a bicycle from the campus or get your own. The mess food is not good at all. The taste is very bad; sometimes, the food is unbearable for me. The breakfast is the only tasty meal of the day. The menu is unique for each day of the week, with non-veg options given 4-times a week. Along with non-veg, paneer is served for veg eaters. Sometimes, sweet is also served in the dinner
Admission
For admission to IIT Jodhpur, I gave the JEE Advanced examination. During that time, I filled for various branches in many IITs like Chemical Engineering at IIT Guwahati, Mechanical Engineering at IIT BHU, ECE at ISM Dhanbad, and so on. But in the end, I finalized for Electrical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur because I preferred the branch over IIT. Also, many of my relatives told me that Electrical in IIT Jodhpur is quite good. As for other colleges, I was not able to make it past their closing rank of the particular branch. For my admission, the closing rank was nearly 6400 for general males and 11000 for females. After joining the college, they have their document verification process, where they verify all the required documents.
