- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

- The campus is good, large and pollution free

- It rains too much in the months of july-august

- Infrastructure is top notch.Modern classrooms and well maintained facilities.
- Lots of sports facilities for students studying in the campus.
- Cultural Fests happen once a year and it's always worth the wait.

- Hostels are not that well maintained.Old buildings with not so aesthetic looking rooms.
- Large crowd of students.Makes it difficult to avail certain facilities .
- Heavy academic load.Students have to study most of the things by themselves.
Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placement form their 4th year. in 3rd year we have internship season though. many top companies do visit our campus starting with Google, Microsoft, Amazon, bcg, Morgan Stanley etc. highest package goes to 2-3 CRS and avg will be around 30lpa

- I liked the culture here at IIT KHARAGPUR
- Mentorship is very good here with mentors from society, hall and depts.
- Sports, Socult and tech culture is very good
Dislikes
- Professors may be inconsiderate at times
- Weather is not very good especially in summers
- IIT Kharagpur is not near any major metro city with Kolkata being 140 kms away
Placement Experience:
Placements are held in 7th semester for Btech students and 9th semester for Dual Degree students.
Almost all well reputed companies in software, product and core dept like electrical visit IIT Kharagpur.
Highest package go as high as 3 CR while median remains at 20 LPA

- Winter is extremely cold here, the minimum temperature could drop to even around 6 or 7 degrees celsius
- The hostel rooms can be a lot more better in terms of infrastructure
- Outside the campus there is not much to do or places to chill or visit
Placement Experience:
I am still in the first year of my Btech course. Students sit for CDC in their third year. The average package in electrical engineering this year was 24LPa. The highest package recorded till now is about 2.68 crore per annum.

The placement in my IIT is really good and if a guy is in circuital branch like me then the placement and package is even better.Top companies like Google,Oracle and Goldmann sachs come for placements

- It is in west bengal so it's very poverty around everywhere
- It's too far from the states so students have to face many problems in travelling.
- Due to poverty there is a less development in infrastructure

I have choose this course according to my passion. And because I also want to choose a circuital department so I choose electrical engineering. faculties are good enough but some are too strict but all the faculties are well qualified and well experienced.

Placements are very nice.....each year we get around 1000 offers and companies like Google Microsoft Apple visit our campus every year. Eighth semester students are allowed in Campus Placements. more than percent students get placed every yeat

- Lab facilities and practical work knowledge

- I hate the weather condition in IIT Kharagpur
- Huge campus so that its difficult to ride cycle all the day
- Their are certain unnecessary subjects that are not related to core branch
Course Curriculum Overview:
Because im intrested in Electical devices .Good and there are lot of teaching assisant and in the first year 1:90 .They were well qualified in thier phd.Too hectic during the exams.And system of grading here a bit complex

As it's iit so placement are pretty well and EE is top branch so placement are quite good and overall 90 percent of student are being placed and others after degree gonna for job line and civil services.
