Likes
- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

- The Campus is very huge and green. It is very beautiful.
- The friends I have made a long this journey.
- Overall environment and interactions with seniors and juniors.
Dislikes
- Food quality in hostel is very bad. They should improve.
- Exam stress and the way question paper is designed.
- No bikes allowed for students. We have to use cycles or go on the bus.
Placement Experience:
The placements are quite good compared to other colleges as a lot of companies offer placements. The highest package is over 1 Cr and average is around 10-20 lpa. Over 200 students get placed on campus through core as well as non core branches.

- The atmosphere here and the student engagement in various activities.
- The way of teaching of all the highly qualified professors.
- The ssenior-junior relationship is also fun and not torturing.
Dislikes
- There are no big shops in the campus for daily amenities.
- All the buildings and departments are too far from each other so travelling is an issue.
- The things in the local market are too expensive for the students.
Placement Experience:
The placements in IIT kharagpur are way better than other colleges. From the 5th sem itself, the students get opportunities of doing internships in various big companies like amazon ,microsoft etc. The highest package offered was 1.8cr per annum and was offered to student of Computer science engineering. In B.Tech 83 percent of the students were placed at resonable packages. I plan to get a highly paid job offer after getting the degree.

- The fests are very nice and there is absolutely no ragging.

- The curriculum is too heavy and sometimes is bit overwhelming.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is good but is a bit too heavy and tough. Although most of the things are genuine but somethings could be put for further years. Faculty depends on subject to subject, some are nice and some are a bit boring but they have thorough knowledge.

- The teaching quality of proffessors are sometimes not as per standard

Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for internships in the pre-final year and for placements in their final year.
The placement rate at IIT Kharagpur is about 90%. About 200 companies visit every year making around 2200 offers for B.tech, M.tech and PhD students.
The highest package till now is 2.2 Crores per annum and the average package is approx. ?15 lacs per annum
I am willing to join a core company in Electrical Engineering and aim for a good company in the college placements.

- I liked the most thing is environment of IIT KHARAGPUR. The environment who teach you how to grow your self.
- Our campus is spread out in 2250 acre. And it is too beautiful. I can spend my life here.
Dislikes
- In this huge campus they allow only to ride bicycle.
- And our class held in nalanda building which is far more than 3km.
Placement Experience:
Our college academic gives you time for an internship at the end of 2nd year. You can sit for placement in the 6th semester by CDC. If you cracked CDC You will be placed. More than 300 plus companies come to our college for placement ie. Microsoft, google intel, Facbook, twitter, zomato, jio, tcs And so on. In my branch, almost 90-95% of students get placed. And 95-100% got the internship. My plan after graduation is to work something good for my country.

At the start of the third year, the internship process starts and at the start of the 4th year, the placement process starts.

Remarks:
The reason why I opted for IIT Kharagpur was the reason that it was among my top 3 priorities for BTech. It was placed 5th in 2020 BTech as well as overall rankings of NIRF. For seats allocation to IIT Kharagpur in BTech program, the centralised JOSAA counselling round is the major process. I got to learn about all the process and steps from one of my relatives who completed his BTech at IIT Madras

IIT Kharagpur is one of the best engineering colleges of India.The placement in electrical branch is very impressive. Also the IIT tag helps a lot in the service sector for getting a job.Also the college highly promotes research fields and being a research enthusiast and based upon my rank in JEE ADVANCED I happily opted for the college.

IIT Kgp being an old/top IIT, that'd be pretty much it. Just did the choice filling for Josaa and got this allotted. The choice filling was based on previous year rankings, my interests and university reputation.

Since IIT Kharagpur is a institute of national importance and it is the first IIT. It is also known as the mother of all iit's. For engineering it's the best institute.
