Likes
- Dr. vinay pant is my favorite one, and he is the best at teaching in my department.
- The placements are good in iit roorkee as it is the top 5 engineering colleges in india from 4 th semester ending you will get internship companies like amazon flipkart google microsoft and all other popular companies.
- The prettiest thing in the whole campus is the james thomsan building. it has magnificent lawn and beautiful green and tall trees.
Dislikes
- Admission process was a bit difficult a lot of documents to prepare so take took.the cut-off was too low cause it was the toughest exam.i didn't like the procedure of admission, have to prepare so much documents it was hectic.
- A very few things that are dislike about the college is the rooms of hostels and washrooms of my block, not very much clean and with proper functions
- Some professors are good but some are very rude and rigorous.

Placement Experience:
On-campus placements start in the 7th semester for a 4-year program. All kinds of companies visit from Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, and Amazon to some international companies too.
The highest package has gone to more than 1 crore through some companies coming to the average package is around 19-20 LPA.
Overall around 85-90% of students get placed in their placement season.
I have though of doing a job for 1-2 years and then pursue for higher studies.

- I liked the placement ratio in my college is very good and most of the students of my branch are getting salary higher than the average salary of the institute
- I liked the support from the alumni of my college thay are supporting the College financially and also doing workshops for the benefit of the students
- I liked the sports facilities in my college as I have seen many college are not indulged in any of such sports facilities which oye College is providing
Dislikes
- I dislikeed the hostel of our college they are very old didn't have air conditioners and the washroom are dirty and at night insects comes into our rooms grasshopper mosquito lizards are very common
- The quality of mess food is very poor and food is tasteless even mosquitoes were found in the food many times
- The boy and girl ratio in our college is almost 4:1 ie 1 girl is among each 4 boys which is very poor
Placement Experience:
The placement of my college is very good the average placement is very high and students get ofdes from the company in crores and I hope my placement package might be in lakhs and crores.Our college is best in terms of placement

- Campus is very safe and one can roam around at any time.
- Campus Fests are extravagant and very memorable with a lot of events going on.
- Academics are moderate and easily one can get a good score if someone studies just a week before exams.
Dislikes
- Most of the people are working in IT domain so variety of branches are just redundant
- Library is not 24x7 which makes it difficult for girls and boys to study after midnight.
- Courses are old fashioned and generally it doesn’t inculcate an interest.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course is old fashioned and have topics and things which are mostly obsolete. The relevant stuff is taught in master's programme. Though in our times, professors were flexible for attendance criteria.

- The exams started very early just after one month of arrival.
- The mess food is sometimes not upto the mark
- The freshers party is very delayed like happening after two months .
Placement Experience:
The placements of college are decent .
The students become eligible for placements in their 7th semester.
IIT Roorkee Placements 2024 (Phase 1) has been concluded. According to the media reports, IIT Roorkee students got 802 job offers from 172 companies. During 2024 placements, students achieved 23 international offers and a US Software company named Databricks offered an annual CTC of INR 2.05 Crores.
Median package: The median package for BTech and MTech placements was INR 19.69 LPA and INR 12 LPA, respectively
85%of the students got placed .
After getting my degree I will do a software engineering job for few years after that I will start my own project/business

- campus placements are best having high placement and internship rate
- Best on campus life having all facilities from co curricular to hobbies to studies all are excellent
Dislikes
- Here girl to boy ratio is very low in my branch (mechanical) is 1:5 . It is expected as girls prepare for neet (doctor) rather than engineering
- Here Work load is pretty much heavy for 1st year as we have to go classes on saturday as well.

Placement Experience:
For placement students get eligible from 7th semester for the companies that visited last year was about 330 companies visited and about total of 1100 offers were made to the students . the big names that visited were (tata steel ,google ,microsoft JLR) and many others.The highest package last year was about 1.3 crores and avg package was about 19 lakh. The placement rate was abo ut 100%. I will get placed and offer my service to the comapny.

- Campus is very much huge and beautiful. iIt is lush green and has great Atmosphere
- Excellent faculty for teaching, engages with students and good opportunities
- Great placements and internships, good peer group

- Hostel facilities are not that good, mess too not good

The placements are amazing, with most people placed specially in computer science and engineering. The average net package of all branches being nineteen lakhs and that of computer science being over thirty lakhs

- I didn't liked the city life over here campus life is good but City Life is poor
- I didn't liked the hostel rooms as they are too small and dirty a little bit
- I sometimes didn't liked the mess food over here

As it is an IIT the placements over here are awesome but in recent two years they have fallen down due to recession but you can also try for off campus as IIT degree has its own value that is privileged and priceless

- I like senior, junior interaction, seniors are very supportive
- Professor and batchmates are also very good

- I don't like attendance policy there, traditional ways of teaching is still there
- Students are running behind branch change
- Overhyped of computer science branch, every branch is equally important

Placement statistics are very good.
Many of our senior are getting pre placement offers and overall placement are top notch
If in case I am not getting placement I will try to get into buisness field and will be starting a new Buisness

- Hostel vibes are great friends are good , no night time restriction inside hostels
- Canteens are there 24 hrs can eat anything you want
- Laundry facilities are there so students don't have to wash their own clothes
Dislikes
- There are some restrictions regarding playing football in the lawn

Placements are great , however they vary bramchwise. This year Roorkee observed a small dip die to recession and everyone were not placed on campus .
However many got placed off campus and received some great packages too

Course Curriculum Overview:
I am intrrested in molecule modelling so I am interested in computational chemistry and also I am learning some basic software for this course. I will try to improve in some software and my speaking skill also in my presentation

The courses provided by Cloudxlab, E&ICT Academy and IIT Roorkee are well structured. All the credits go to the excellent CloudxLab team which provides constant assistance on issues related to labs and coursework via the discussion forum.
The course offers hands-on knowledge in Data/ Data Engineering technologies. It is suitable for anyone with basic programming knowledge, SQL database work, and an inclination toward Data Science. There is many differences in the price as well as the curriculum of the courses offered by E&ICT Academy, IIT Roorkee, and CloudxLab.
Merits
- Well-structured coursework taught through short videos and quizzes for evaluation
- The discussion forum provides assistance in lab work and projects
- The solution of the project is available for assistance
- The videos can be saved for future reference
- Courses are offered at a discount except the lab access
Demerits
- The project work has to be completed in the limited timeframe of 3 months
- Some Spark modules are difficult to comprehend especially by beginners
- The videos are extremely short and sometimes fail to explain the entire concept
- Lab web console and Hue editor face technical issues on a regular basis.
Ultimately it can be said that it is a decent learning platform that provides training at subsidiary rates and is growing at an exponential rate.
