IIT Roorkee Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Campus placements starts after completion of degree although students apply for internships from 3rd year, many companies like amazon, google, Microsoft, flipkart, TCS, wipro, and many core companies like dr. Reddy, relience visit our campus for placement. But it becomes really difficult to get placement in a core company because of competition almost 80-90% students of my branch got placed most of them in non core. Highest package go around 50 lpa and average go around 15-20 lpa. I am also planning to get placement after completing my degree

Since being a prominent IIT and a prominent college of India it has a high package in every branch and after the course is completed students is opened to various sections and interest and fields in which he / she can continue like job / PhD/ mtech from the same college

The placements are very good. Being an old IIT many good companies arrive on campus in the final year of your undergrad and post grad. The placement cell is very active throughout the year and provide help and support to any person seeking it. The career development cell is another good initiative to help student in pursuing their goals.

After 6th semester companies start to come for placements. More than thousand placement offers are made every year. Around 90% of students easily get placed. Average package is around twenty lakhs per annum. Highest can go in crores. And lowest is around five lakhs per annum.

Our college gives 95% placement and if suppose I am not able to get placed then my branch is economics and therefore I can assist people with ways to invest money and other financial problem they face

The frequency and timing of exam is good i guess. The semester completes before winter vacation and summer vacation. As i told courses like soft skills, tinkering and mentoring plays very important role in other aspects. Where they can improve is on practical applications of things. When i heard that in first sem, we are going to gave engineering mechanics subject. I was very excited. I thought i will get to learn interesting things.

We have a placement and internship cell in the college which is managed by the students itself and Annual placment and internship session in conducted which helps each student to get a good placement coordination.

The currciulum is relevant to the course i have selected. You not only get to learn the core concepts but also focuses on the overall devlopment of students in general.you get to learn the core concepts in great depths

From 6 semester students are eligible for placements . Many companies comes here for recruitment likes of Amazon , JP Morgan's , ICICI Bank , Adobe and many more . Highest package: In 2024, the highest package offered was INR 2.05 crore per annum. Placement offers: In 2024, the majority of offers were for Software Development Engineer (SDE) positions. Top recruiting sectors: In 2023, the top recruiting sector was IT and Analytics. The highest and average package offered during IIT Roorkee MBA placements 2024 stood at INR 26 LPA and INR 18 LPA, respectively. Moreover, the placement rate recorded during IIT Roorkee MBA placements 2024 was 100%. Apart from this, the median package offered during IIT Roorkee MBA placements 2024 stood at INR 18.5 LPA. In addition, Operations, IT & Analytics emerged as the top recruiting sector during IIT Roorkee MBA placements 2024.According to media reports, 23 international and in total 802 offers were grabbed during IIT Roorkee 2024 phase-1 placements. Databricks offered a salary package of INR 2.05 crore per annum to a student during the first phase of IIT Roorkee placements 2023-24.Further, a total of 172 companies visited the campus during IIT Roorkee placements 2024.In addition, as per unofficial sources, the highest domestic and average package during IIT Roorkee placements 2024 stood at INR 150 LPA and INR 20 LPA, respectively. As per the Engineering NIRF report 2024 released by IIT Roorkee, the median package offered during BTech and MTech placements 2023 stood at INR 19.69 LPA and INR 12 LPA, respectively. Furthermore, according to the Architecture & Planning NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during BArch and MArch placements 2023 stood at INR 9.25 LPA.

On-campus placements start in the 7th semester for a 4-year program. All kinds of companies visit from Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, and Amazon to some international companies too. The highest package has gone to more than 1 crore through some companies coming to the average package is around 19-20 LPA. Overall around 85-90% of students get placed in their placement season. I have though of doing a job for 1-2 years and then pursue for higher studies.
