Students becomes eligible in their second last semester. And for internship in there 4th last semester.
The highest package offered in 2023-24 batch is 1.68 crores domestic and 60 lakh international.
I am planning to get a job and start preparing for some competitive exams.

- Campus could be better, not as good as other IITs.
- But I generally dont go to class , so better LTs would not have really helped me

Placements are good bro, thats why people come to IIT BHU. Avg of 23 lpa this year for whole college, much better in CSE obviously, right now i dont know how much.
Almost everyone gets placed here, companies offering lower than 7 lpa are notn allowed.
HIghest was 1.68 cr in CSE in NK Securities

- Seniors ragging.only opportunities for girls during intern in 2nd year of btech
- Dogs,cats stay in our hostel .which causes disturbance

As there was recession period ,avg lpa was not at all good.my seniors were placed with good lpa in big campanies amazon uber,mastercard ola,qualcomm texas instruments,80 percent of students are placed .I aim upsc after I get graduated

- Every basic facilities like night canteen, laundry services are available at doorstep

- Is that our campus is open any one can enter and can do anything
- This is no tight security in the campus, cctvs didn't work
- And campus is very large 1300 acres and we have to travel q lot

Placement Experience:
Placement is best in the whole state. From the 7th semester, companies start visiting our college.
Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Infosys, etc all the top companies come to our college and give 1100+ offers. The highest package is 1. 63 cr and the lowest is 8 lakhs. About 90 percent of students are placed every year. I plan to get a job in my dream company after my degree.

- Campus Environment is great. Feels peaceful to walk.
- Assi Ghat is just 3 km away from our hostels.
- Professors are well qualified and dedicated.
Dislikes
- Safety Concerns due to open campus of BHU.
- Distance between Hostel and the lecture theatres is almost a kilometre.
- Old Infrastructure due to its 100 yrs of construction.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum of Mining Engineering is more towards practicality. The professors are more focused towards the real life applications of mining. They are among the best in their fields with a great amount of field experiences too

- The clubs in IIT BHU , they are very active , you can interact with like minded people discuss your ideas. Like cops, bizz, robotics, ecell
- Campus life over here. You can go to library till 1 am at night. Guard are always there.
- Sports facilities in iit is very good. I really like spardha our annual sports fest where different colleges participate
Dislikes
- I think the competition you face after coming here is too much. Sometimes it becomes tough for students to handle also.
- Mess food after 1-1.5 months. It becomes unbearable especially lunch. Most of the times students skip lunch and eat from hostel canteen.
- I would say clubs over here selects you on the basis of your knowledge rather than teaching you and then conducting selections.
Placement Experience:
IIT Bhu has good average package. So on campus placement is good like other top 8 iits. For campus placement you have to sit in 7th semester but sometimes students get pre placement offer from the companies they did internship in. Companies like amazon , google, uber , salesforce , oracle comes for placement. Highest package for this year is 1 cr + and lowest is 7lacks. Almost 80 % got places , 1000 offers were there and other opted for higher studies. I plan to sat for campus placement in sde role

- Lecture halls are old as compared to other IITs
- Presence of dogs in hostel premises. They are sometimes annoying
- Some of the hostels have poor infrastructure
Placement Experience:
The placement rate of our college in past years for all branches have been almost 100%. Although due to recession across the globe there is decline in placements but still our college ranks 2 among all IITs.

- I like a here sports culture. there are many sports to play especially taekwondoo.
- Here infrastructure is nice as there is temples everywhere so we can be at peace whenever we want.
- Here competition is also healthy leading to betterment of all students.

- Peerpressure is very high . student are in very depreesive enviroment.
- It is open campus leading to very noisy place.
- Campus have very low female to male ratio leading to gender inequality.
Placement Experience:
here placements are quit good . placement starts from 4 th year. there are many company visiting here . some are miocroscoft, google , netflix, etc. highest pakage goes up to 2 crore , and average is 35 lakh. upto 85 percentage of students get placed. i plan on doing job in coorporate world.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Curriculum is too hactic in first year . one have to attend 75% class to eligible for sem exam . Paper is langhty and tough . one should have to work hard to pass the exam . Prf teach well but need to attend class properly

- The campus is beautiful, we have temple here too, in case we feel discouraged. Also, it's a lush green campus.
- The peer environment is great here, everybody here is involved into something productive.
- The samosa and chai ofcourse, LC is the heart of our campus
Dislikes
- There is no AC's in the classroom. Even in hot summer days, we have to study in fan based classrooms
- At times, there's a lot of pressure from the teaching faculty for just 2 credits, it creates too much stress on students
- The security here is not much, though the authority is working on this issue
Placement Experience:
IIT BHU stands among the top colleges with the highest placement rates. Even during the recession period, it withstands it's name and fame. We had an average package of rupees 18,00,000 per annum which is a great amount.

What are the views of IIT-BHU students about Kashi Utkarsh?

My friend is an alumnus of IIT-BHU and he was a member of the Kashi Utkarsh too. He claims the organization is doing really well in eradicating the prevalent social constraints through the collective efforts of the group. The body convinces the financially weak families living in Varanasi slums to send their children to schools with the help of KU funding.
As easy as this may sound, the actual process is very tiring. The families are hell-bent against education and persuading them is a big task. The relentless efforts of the team members of KU and their compassion to serve the weak have brought massive changes in society.
However, some students of the institute don’t give KU the respect they deserve and are not ready to spend a single penny claiming that KU pockets the funds themselves.
If you visit the social media handles of the KU members, you will find a list of children who get into the formal education system along with their school fees being paid by KU. Dictionary the constant assistance from professors like Prof. Ashim Mukherjee with KU helps KU stay strong.

What are the changes that took place in the college after IT-BHU got converted into IIT BHU?

My friend was a student at IIT BHU and he witnessed a number of changes as the IT BHU got converted into IIT BHU.
- The Vishwakarma hostel became a 3 storied building
- Kashi yatra, the annual socio-cultural festival of IIT(BHU) Varanasi stayed open till 10.
- The grading system first changed to absolute from relative and then finally back to relative grading.
- Mid-semester tests were introduced in place of class tests.
- One of the sandwich shops became a complete multi-storied restaurant.
- The Chemical Engineering department was updated in many ways.
- The students were no longer allotted single rooms.
- The campus facilities were improved including the Internet connections.
- The 90 % attendance rule was introduced.
- The institute got 3 new directors.
These were some of the changes my friend witnessed after the IT BHU got transformed into IIT BHU.

My review of IIT BHU will be based on some very common parameters.
- Infrastructure: The academic buildings are not air-conditioned and are equipped with obsolete instruments. The hostels are surrounded by natural beauty but the living conditions are pathetic with cramped rooms and dirty toilets. The poor LAN connections are a major major problem here.
- Faculty: The faculty again is very disappointing. some even lack basic knowledge and some are too arrogant to guide the students. The answer sheets are checked in a disorganized way and the pedagogy adopted is old school. So here, you will have to completely depend on self-study.
- Research: The majority of the faculty focuses on administrative tasks and fails to encourage students to research work. The institute has no globally recognized research work to date.
- Facilities: The library has poorly organized books and lacks good study material. The LAN network is another major issue faced by students here. The departments are closed by 6 ok and the library is locked by 10 pm. This is a major hindrance during exams.
- Campus life: The frequent student activities make the campus life of IIT BHU lively and dynamic. A number of activities are organized in IIT-Gymkhana by the students and Kashi Yatra is the annual cultural festival of the institute. There are amazing sports facilities like huge grounds and fields for Cricket, Football, Badminton, and Tennis.
- Placements: IIT BHU has one of the best placements among the top IITs. Currently, IIT Bhu Placements 2023 is being held and around 474 offers and 305 PPOs have been made. IIT BHU's highest CTC was recorded at INR 1.2 CPA. A total of 117 recruiters took part in IIT BHU Placements 2023. Top recruiters included Airbnb India, Uber, Microsoft, Accenture, Piramal, etc. Last year the highest CTC stood at INR 2.05 CPA which was offered by UBER.
Overall, IIT BHU is a great choice if you are willing to sacrifice the hostel conditions and self-study.

Pharmaceutical Society and Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Technology, IIT (BHU) organize the Nation's largest pharmaceutical fest-SPIRIT.
SPIRIT is an annual fest of pharmaceutical engineering & Tech. branch of IIT(BHU). It is a national level event where pass out students can also participate. Pharma and medical enthusiasts from the country come together in this two-day fest to encapture new ideas and innovations to bring out the best of the participants. There are many competitions where you can compete to share and gain knowledge and ideas. Workshops and seminars are also organized. IIT(BHU) is the only IIT having a pharma branch, that's why it is the best college of pharma. The Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, IIT (BHU) was established in 1932.
If someone wants to pursue higher studies in pharmacy, SPIRIT gives a platform to meet the best professors and students. SPIRIT is also a good platform if you want your research paper to be published by showcasing here to many professional pharmaceutical organizations.
