For a student who belongs to general category and don't have EWS certificate will have to pay maximum fee of the course (same case with me i pay around 100500 for academics and 15000 mess fee for one semester) Fee changes if you belong to any category and so on you'll have to pay lesa

here fee structure for me as i am st , is 15000 rs for the academic fees for one sem. the complete cost for my tution is 40000. as 12000 for hostel and others for library etc. i have only for reservation . there are nio other scolarship that are availablr for me. currently i have no job in college.

The fee structure is as follows, for general students the tution fee and hostel fee is around 1 lakh per semester and mess fee is around 15000 and this changes for the reservation category students like the tuition and hostel fee for them is around 6150 per semester and the mess fee is around 15000 per semester. There are many scholarships are available for the students. The institute faculty members provide us many scholarship oppurtunities.

Things to know before taking admission in IIT BHU

Well fees is good enough if you belong to general category because total fees per sem will cost you about 1.2 lakhs . But you can reduce this by providing income proof or ITR details to the college and easy fee remission form can be filled . Well college provide scholarship but not too much . So if fee remission does not happen you will have to ely on other scholarship which an IITIAN wil get easily. But fee remission is easy

The fee structure for the program is notably considerate for ST category students like me, where the standard tuition fee is significantly reduced to 18,000 due to the fee remission policy for reserved categories. This reduction is a substantial financial relief and makes higher education more accessible. As an ST category student, I didn't require a scholarship for tuition but have applied for additional scholarships to cover other expenses like books and living costs. The applications are pending, and I hope to secure further financial support to ease my educational journey.

It’s worth it

The fees of IITs are a bit high when compared to NITs but actually, it is worth it plus there are many scholarships available for the ews category whose salary lies from 1-5 lakhs. Hostel fees and mess fees are also very affordable.

For the general category student, the fee is 110000 per semester. but those who are financially not stable get a discount. for SC and ST it's around 18000. Fee structure is Little costly but there are so many scholarship program for students for financial help . Like Hira fotedar scholarship, Jay Agarwal scholarship and other alumni funded scolership available . Come about campus placement , campus placement is too good because all of students get high package so this the advantage of IIT BHU.
