Ques. Is the M.Pharm (Ayurveda) at BHU offered at the main Varanasi campus or elsewhere?
Ans. The M.Pharm (Ayurveda) programme is run at the Rajiv Gandhi South Campus (RGSC), Barkachha, Mirzapur, which is a separate campus of BHU located approximately 80 km from the main Varanasi campus. Students should be prepared to study and reside at Mirzapur for the duration of the programme. Hostel accommodation at RGSC is available subject to room availability.
Ques. What is the entrance exam for M.Pharm (Ayurveda) at BHU? Is AIAPGET accepted?
Ans. BHU conducts its own entrance test for M.Pharm (Ayurveda) admission. This is a 100-question MCQ paper covering all subjects of the B.Pharm (Ayurveda) curriculum, to be completed in 2 hours. AIAPGET is not the basis for admission to this programme. Candidates must specifically apply for and appear in the BHU M.Pharma (Ayurveda) Entrance Test.
Ques. What is the total fee for M.Pharm (Ayurveda) at BHU?
Ans. The course fee is Rs. 75,000 per year (self-finance), totalling Rs. 1,50,000 for the 2-year programme. In addition, students must pay the regular BHU university fee (approximately Rs. 6,550 as a one-time charge). The total approximate cost for the full programme is Rs. 1,56,550, excluding hostel and mess charges.
Ques. What are the career prospects after M.Pharm (Ayurveda) from BHU?
Ans. Graduates can pursue careers in Ayurvedic pharmaceutical companies (R&D, quality control, manufacturing), as faculty in Ayurveda colleges, as researchers under CCRAS and other government research bodies, and in self-employment through Ayurvedic product development. Ans. No, there is no negative marking in the BHU M.Pharma (Ayurveda) Entrance Test. The paper consists of 100 MCQs covering all subjects of the B.Pharm (Ayurveda) curriculum, to be solved in 2 hours. The question paper is available in both English and Hindi; in case of any controversy, the English version is considered final.
