Nit trichy has an excellent placement record with a large number of students placed in to top companies every year, the institute's has strong industry connection and career development program
Their way of teaching is really good and impressive, they make concepts easy to understand.
You get a scholarship...if you have some reservations but on the contrary, the college set is not that costly compared to other colleges and the roi is good here, you'll get placed in a nice company in the end anyways

Dislikes

The wifi service is very poor in the hostel and even mobile network is bad due to its remote location.
Room is spacious but the hostel maintainance is so bad as compared to the college maintenance.
This college is very old. so infrastructures are not that good. wifi facility is very poor

NIT Trichy Overall Review

Likes

It provides a quality of education and decent placements and internship opportunities.
It provides 24*7 power supply so students will fell very confortable in hostels.
Food provides to the hostel students was really good.

Dislikes

Lack of communication or transparency from the administration
In every hostels wifis will be there but hardly 4 or 5 rorors works in every floor
There is no transportation facility inside the campus

Placement Experience:

from the 5th semester onwards students are eligible to sit for internships and from the 7th semester, they are eligible to sit for campus placements.highest package will be around 50lpa and average will be around 12lpa.around 95% of students get placed

Yes our college offers campus placements. Many influential and we'll known companies come for recruitment in our college including PSUs. Google Microsoft give highest packages. Percentage of students getting placed is really good

The course plan is designed in a nice way that it enables u to fetch in depth knowledge of your course
The diversity in culture . Students from all around the nation come here and u will get to hear multiple languages all around youself which helps in personality development
Great placements and internship opportunities and great guidance by the seniors and professors

Dislikes

The climate. It's super hot here in Trichy all along the year there are only two seasons summer and rain
Discrimination and partiality is quite clearly visible among the locals and people from other states
Travelling from north sides is the toughest part of being an nittian

Placement Experience:

From 5 th sem onwards they can sit for internships and after the end of 3 Rd year placements season starts which goes on for good 3-4 months with number of big companies visiting us. The opportunities are surplus .

My college my rules

Likes

Sports facilities available ,good paper groups ,better infrastructure
Good faculties with good amount of knowledge
Various clubs are there on the basis of interest

Dislikes

Language barrier between the students and campus outside
The college is located far away from the city
Course is pretty hectic and all the prodf are not good

Course Curriculum Overview:

Electrical and electronics engineering is a tough course in engineering but this is tough for those who are not interested in this course.those who have interest in this course he easily understand the concept.i quote good in electrical concept In this curriculum we have two labs in a week one is for electrical and another one is for electronics.in lab we learn about machines and how to make circuit.this can help in real world. They can provide their hand written notes print out to those students who have absent for some reason. The end sem exam timing is 3 hours.

peers group-here onlt toppers live so there is very tough to get good cgpa and due to raltive marking you v=have to study for good cgpa

Campus infrastructure -here due to heat maximum fool in a buling is 5
Tamil popualtion is more so you feel a little bit ockward

Placement Experience:

From starting of Fourth year averyone become eligible for placement there are list- google ,microsoft,oracle,uber.amazon,sprinkler,nividia,qualcum,texas instrument,Goldman sachs,BNY melon,Rubrix,De shaw,Acesium,etc some psu also for software ,highest package is offered and for lats year this was 52 lakh offered by microshoft and average pacakge is 17 lakh aprox above 90 percenatge student get placed lats year but this year due to recessin a little bit less may be getting plaecment in software field is my plan because here placment is really good you can get job easily in a good company so i wiil seat in palcement and afte rtaking job i wiil deci9de 3the fultueb plan

MY college , my rules

Likes

sports facilities , coding culture , interaction with smart people , well qualified teachers , easy doubt solving by teachers
The campus provides the best intership opportunities and even the best of the best placement and it is having the good stats in terms of placement and intership
Campus life is chilled , various nights canteens

Dislikes

the 75 percent attendence criteria, some boring profs
hectic schedule like almost 5 classes every day
The food provided here is not so good , hostels rooms in beryl are so small and the hygience is also not maintained properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

actually to be very frank , i just chose the course on the basis on my rank and now i have developed the interest after choosing this course . Our entire curriculum is fully connected to real world problems and the course helps me to visualize all the things which is taught solves the problem of the real world and also there are labs where all the things are done practically . Some courses are there which I think would not help in the mere future but then also it is taught is in the class .Teachers now don't solve much problems in the class ,even the interaction between the student and teachers is not good . First ct1 is held after some syllabus and then ct 2 after 1 month is held and then finally end sem is held at the end . The difficulty vary from course to course and also it depends on the teachers .some prof give exact pyq and some set really hard but in general if you are attentive then you can solve the problem very easily.

Lively atmosphere, annual fests offering diverse activities and experiences, engaging in student driven events which foster creativity and talent

Limited recreational spaces, like modern food courts
Only one gym and library. multiple gyms near each hostel would be much more appreciated.
Curfew timings for first year boys and all girls in general.

Placement Experience:

All students of VII and VIII semesters have the requirements for attending campus recruitment. Total of 242 companies visited in 2022-2023. a few companies are: google, microsoft, accenture, Allen career institute, Amazon, Axis Bank, Bajaj, BEL, Boeing, BPCL, Cadence, Caterpillar, CISCO, Daimler Truck Innovation, Ford, General Electric, Hitachi India, Hyundai Motors Ltd, IBM Consulting, ICICI, Infosys, John Deere, Oracle, Qualcomm, etc. highest package was 52.89 LPA, average was 17.23 LPA My plan as of now is to get into a top tech company.

Life at Nit Trichy

Placement opportunities are better .Huge campus
Campus Life is somewhat moderate with many clubs to get it.
Good exploring experiences . students from different parts of the country as well as from abroad studies here.

Dislikes

Poor and old infrastructure.poor amenities.
Campus are is hot and humid .Also there is water scarcity.
Student: faculty ratio is not good.Faculties are not well trained.

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Google, Amazon, Facebook, Intel, Huawei, and many more visit the campus. The highest package in the year 2022 is 40 lpa. The average is 10.5 lpa. 73% of students get placed. After getting my degree I will opt for placement.

Remarks:

It is the top NIT of the country and is better than many of the IITs. The teaching quality here is beyond excellence. The environment here is too good and perfect for an engineering student. It has managed to top the list of nit from last 5years.

Remarks:

The college, being the first ranked NIT in the country, is up to it's mark in placements and opportunities. However, the college faculties and admin are very conservative and controlling. They keep information from the students and have strict rules which makes college life less interesting.

NIT Trichy is indeed one of the best engineering colleges in India, the institution that changed my life. While every NIT has its own unique strengths and weaknesses, NIT Trichy has a distinctive competitive ambiance. Life here is pretty fast-paced and apart from academics, NIT Trichy also has an equal balance of extracurricular activities. There are more than 50 student-driven clubs that encourage the active participation of students. These clubs instill a sense of equality among the students irrespective of their academic profiles. NIT Trichy gives you the opportunity to pursue your passions boldly.

The climate here is a bit unbearable and the location is kind of remote. You will find it difficult to adjust here in the initial months but once you have adapted yourself to the ambiance here, the real fun starts.

Overall, as an NIT Trichy student, you will learn to socialize, handle tea life problems and fulfill your goals. Here, you alone fuel your passions!

B.Tech EEE is the most hectic course offered by NIT Trichy.

As a B.Tech EEE student, you’ll have classes and labs all day long. The faculty is experienced. Most of them are friendly and supportive, but you can only rely on self-study. You’ll have some of the brightest students as your peers. Try to befriend some of them as they will help you a lot in studies.

NIT Trichy is comparable to some of the old IITs, in terms of placements. Almost all the students of B.Tech EEE are successfully placed each year, and some of them even bag multiple offers. Those who don’t sit for placements, opt for higher studies in prestigious Indian and foreign universities.

NIT Trichy will offer you an awesome campus culture, and lifelong memories. Its EEE branch is hectic, but rewarding at the same time.

I am currently studying ECE at NIT Trichy. So far, I’ve had an amazing experience. During the first two years, you will deal with Core Electronics. In the first year, every branch studies the same subjects to brush up on concepts learned in senior classes at school. The next two years deal with the Communication part. You will get to choose electives from various options like image processing, etc.

All the branches are equally good and each offers ample opportunities in terms of scholarships. The ECE branch has a very good reputation and the faculty is quite good. Some teachers can even teach more than two subjects with subjects ranging from Digital Electronics to Signal Processing and Data Structures (elective). NIT Trichy follows a Relative Grading System (RG).

Thus, the NIT Trichy ECE branch is a great choice.
