Know about LPU

Likes

There is very good placement record in our college
The people are of wide variety study over here
The college supports people interested in sports.

Dislikes

The examination is very thought the fail the students frequently.
Timetable of the semester would be hectic
Hostel maintenance can be better even in terms of infrastructure.

Placement Experience:

The placement over here is good.The highest package is 1crore package of a student passing out in the year 2025.The avg package of lpu is around 6LPA.Stidents often choose lpu as it gives a very good placement.

Good College for a Fair Fee

Likes

The various programs , seminars, opportunities, workshops and events happening all the time. You just need to adjust according to your time.
The various out-of-syllabus experience you get at this fee is great
No ragging, seniors are quite friendly. And are also helpful.

Dislikes

Campus food is not great. Even eating at the campus feels dull during classes. The menu items and cooking method are decided by college authorities and it makes difficult for food kiosks owners to make the food tasty .
No affordable non-veg option in the campus.
If you are staying in a hostel, you have unnecessary formalities even if you are boy.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement from 4th semester onwards. You have to pay a decent Career Service fee after which you will be eligible for campus placements. You are also given classes for placements which are fair enough. Most of the students get placed in non-tech roles. The companies which offer tech role are mass recruiters(WITCH). The other core companies include Microsoft and Google. Students are placed with average package aroung 18-30000 / month. Most of the companies for offering tech roles often prefer students with BTech over BCA.

We have cas in every month through which all the things or study material is easy to take care of to learn them easily. And if we study really good and able to understand all the concepts than we can easily clear our end terms

Exploring Lovely Professional University

Likes

The main things which I appreciate of LPU is their syllabus which is updating time to time every year
The infrastructure of the campus is very livelihood. People from all regions of india and even international students are studying lpu which helps us to know more about their cultures etc
The placement drives of lpu is well recognised in the private sector of universities, students gets the fair chances to show their skills

Dislikes

There are few faculty members which are very rude and unsupportive which I don't like
There was a app called lpu live which is used for teachers and students to send the materials and problems etc but recently the app was shut down by the lpu now many students faces difficulties because students were used to it with their lpu live app

Placement Experience:

After the completing of 3rd year of the btech degree and after the completion of 2nd year of the bba course you are eligible for the campus placements. Some of the companies visiting LPU are Cognizant, BOSCH, Amazon, Cloudera, VMWare, HackerOne, Phonepe, Flipkart, Informatica, Voltas, Sony, and P&O Cruises. Over 1,050 companies participated in LPU Placements 2023, offering 6,645 job offers till May 2023. 504 companies offered CTCs of 5 LPA or above. The highest package went upto 3CPA internationally while 64LPA domestically with total recruiters is about 1200. The placement rate at Lovely Professional University (LPU) is generally more than 80%. In 2023, the placement rate for MBA students at LPU was 96%.

Campus is very good and large various food court are there.
Food court are good and every state food is available

Good College, Placement and Great Infrastructure and Facilities

Excellent Infrastructure, Big 600 acre Campus
North India biggest and well-stocked library'
Around 10% of students in our batch are placed in sem 6th and 30% are doing internships.

Dislikes

The faculty is moderateiy helpful but there are some lack.
Mess facilities are bad . there is no taste in food.
75% Attendance is mandatory and after that attendance marks are also there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

Secrets of LPU

Likes

Structure of the university is upto the mark which is regardlessly
campus life is extremely happening and exciting
faculty members are really helpful and great mentors

Dislikes

strict restriction on timing of leaves and hostel timing
attendance system of the university is a bit unfair

students are eligble for campus placements from 7th semester onwards and yes our college does provide placements in every course as per their respective talent of students tcs ,wipro, upgrad , tata technologies etc .

Experience in lpu

Likes

The campus and infrastructure is so good. The campus life is awesome.
The faculty and teaching is appreciable. All faculty are having good qualifications.
The college encourage co curricular activities so much. We can continue our skills and hobbys together with studies.

Dislikes

The crowd is too much. But we get to interact with a lot of people.
As reaching second year classes will be hectic.
There is a curfew for girls hostel which is till 8 in summers and 7 in winters.

Placement Experience:

The placements are pretty good. There are a lot of campus placements going on. Even though the crowd is big, we can get a decent placement of we work hard for it. Many good companies are visiting campus offering good packages

The real lpu

Likes

fee for the program which i have studied and provided me a well value for money offer for the course of that type par with other universities in comparision
teachers and peer learning was there for the courses
had so much friends and enjoyed life during the course of my college days

Dislikes

bad teachers and faculties for teaching most are inexperienced
poor infrastructure in and around the university
placement support and overall student support is very bad

Placement Experience:

the placement was very bad in our university still they were giving many placement offers to tech students to non tech domains with very low packages. the placement support was not very well to the students

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

Can I get an honest review on LPU University placements in engineering?

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:

Students get success in placements based on their learning and skills provided by the University. The University trains the students to grab high-quality job offers.
LPU receives numerous companies for placements, although only a fraction of students secure high-paying offers, partly due to the large student population.
LPU's campus can accommodate its many students, with classes divided into manageable sizes for effective teaching.
The university's popularity is high due to its large student population from different regions of India.
LPU offers international exposure to students from foreign countries, enhancing language skills through interaction.
LPU maintains a strict anti-ragging policy and provides a secure environment with extensive CCTV surveillance.
