Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I have a strong interest in Marketing. As you progress through the first year, where you learn briefly about all fields, the 2nd year gives you the opportunity to choose a specialization like marketing, finance, operations, and so on. On the official website, which is updated on a regular basis, a detailed course curriculum is available as well as electives that can be selected. 50 teachers and a total of 650 students making student to faculty ratio approx 15:1. The nmims teaching staff is the course's crowning glory, all professors are industry experts who teach not only the material but also real-life examples and case studies making the course more authentic and practical. Midterms and end terms exams are usually held twice a trimester. Exams are relatively easy to pass.

Best College - NMIMS Mumbai

Course Curriculum Overview:

I planned to pursue MBA after graduation because I was interested in business. I applied and was accepted to Nmims since it's a well-known and established university. Here professor to student ratio is 1:60. The majority of the faculty hold a Ph.D. and have worked in the industry for at least 15-20 years. The teaching method is case-based with students being given a predetermined set of HBR articles to read and discuss during the lectures. Term-end exams last 2 hours and are not particularly difficult to pass.

Final year campus placements start from around September and all children are eligible for the process unless someone has opted out of the process. There are various consultancies and healthcare companies visiting the campus. To name a few Sun pharma, Macleods, Alkem. the average package offered was 8LPA and the highest package offered was 14LPA with profiles in marketing or data analysis. The college has 100% placements.

The placement for nmims is really good. NMIMS claims 100% placement and also an average package of 18 lakhs. Around 150 companies visited this year with most from the Marketing and sales, BFSI, and consulting sectors. Students become eligible from the very first month for Summer placements. A plethora of companies visit the campus and more than 500 offers are made according to me. The highest domestic package goes as high as INR 50 Lacs and the average is about INR 16 Lacs. No idea about international packages. A record 100% of students get placed every year. Placement Experience:

Summer Placements start after the second trimester - the selection is based on company guidelines - merit, interview performance, and work experience wherever required. The final placements are also done in a similar manner - begins in and after the fifth trimester in the second year. Highest CTC was 34.72L and the average CTC was 18.45L. Total recruiters were 163 which included top companies such as Loreal, Amazon, Pidilite, J&J, GE, ICICI, etc and the majority of the batch was placed through PPOs itself - great performance during the summer internships and 100% placement was achieved even in the middle of the pandemic.

If you attend this college, you'll find that it caters to an expensive, cushy, rich crowd. However, whether or not you actually learn anything will be up to you, as the classes can be quite lax. You'll need to maintain 805 attendance, which is compulsory.

On the bright side, the teachers are good and there are decent placement opportunities, especially when compared to other colleges. There are also various opportunities available, but keep in mind that money talks here, so be prepared to fend for yourself. The course itself is okay, much like most engineering colleges, but the labs and equipment are good and the infrastructure is solid.

Overall, if you choose to attend this college, you'll find that it's like any good engineering college with a higher fee. Just remember to stay focused and take advantage of the resources available to you. With hard work and dedication, you can succeed and thrive in this environment.
