Only NMAT by GMAC is accepted for all full-time MBA programmes at NMIMS Mumbai. CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, and GMAT scores are not accepted. Candidates must register for NMAT on the GMAC portal and separately complete the NMIMS Step 2 application at nmat.nmims.edu.

For MBA Pharmaceutical Management, the cutoff was 190 overall with 50 per section. The NMAT 2026 cutoff for the 2027-29 batch will be published on nmat.nmims.edu after results are declared.

Work experience is not mandatory. Fresh graduates are eligible to apply. Full-time experience of at least 6 months receives positive weightage in the final composite score. Internships and curricular project work do not count toward work experience.

Does NMIMS Mumbai have a management quota or direct admission?

Accepted Answer

No. NMIMS officially states that admission is merit-based with "no admission based on capitation." There is no management quota at any NMIMS campus. All seats are filled through NMAT, NCET, NPAT, CLAT, or NLAT merit lists.

The Competency Assessment Test is a Stage 2 component conducted at the NMIMS Mumbai campus for shortlisted candidates. Shortlisting for this test is based on NMAT score alone.

No. JEE Main is not accepted at NMIMS MPSTME. The only accepted exam is NCET (NMIMS Common Entrance Test). NRI and international candidates may submit SAT or ACT scores in place of NCET. Final merit is computed as 50% NCET score and 50% Class 12 PCM marks.
