Yeah it's very good for class room is great and lab is workable we have onam programs and xmas, arts day, sports day, youth festival, freshers day its good there is two clubs nss and nature club and good friends
The attitude of the teachers were very rude but their way of teaching is very nice and we can easily score good marks in the exams.
The college have job placements in channels like asianet, and have some institutes like brilliant, also the channel karikku.we have internships at newschannels and other institutes and may get permanent jobs if they like our work.

Dislikes

Facilities are very bad theory is no very good infrastructure facilities provided
The distance from hostel to department is too large and its so difficult to walk
It's a very poor system that's made to waste the time of students as they cram everything from practicals and theory, leaving no space for real life applications .

Campus is good, have their own compund and garden
Atmosphere of the college is good . Having large compound
Having many programs like onam , freshers, christmas

Dislikes

The lab faculties is lesss , there is lab facilities less
Classroom facilities is less and poor as other college
Mess is having less option for food and conjusted

The last sem is having internships where we want pay and do the internship in any company. And should submit the report at the college and should give presentations. No placement is given by college to students.

The best liked the most is the teacher student bonding. We make bond with our teachers more than its like our teacher, we'll feel like they're our friends. We've our own freedom to standup and talk about anything which is practical.
Then the students. If we've any issue in common if that is against the management we'll stand steady in unity and will definitely fought against it. The student unity is one of the main thing a college should need.
It feels like its our own college and we will definitely uphold its prestige at any circumstances. If we students and the management have an issue we'll try to solve it in the college no other third party is getting involved in that.

Dislikes

Ofcourse sometimes the management. They've less respect to teachers and non-teaching staffs. Its the students who always fight for teachers problems.
We don't really have any campus there. Just two blocks of building. And one cafeteria that's it. Campuses should be more greeny and eco-friendly.
Most of the teachers will quit their job less than in 2 year. Maybe it the reason is lack of salary, they're not paid the amount which they're worth for.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it's upto the course. I was seduced to take a course and i was from a science field hence i don't know anything about computer. But my dad got me into BCA and i got my tranfer from there to BSc Pychology, which seems to be more intresting to me far better than the computer application. First it was a bit hard to cover-up all the topics, but if we could understand the theories then it'll be so cool to study it. When talk about exams, we don't have a proper break after one exam. After 2 to 3 months semester exams are done. It'll be really hard to cover-up the topics if it is done such a way.

Likes

The college have several departments and all departments run in unity.
The college have a very big library and it is very useful for the students.
The college is very well known for the academic performance of the students especially the psychology departments.

Dislikes

Need more cultural programs and it should be standardised

Placement Experience:

The BSc.Psychology students should do masters to get a job.They will have opportunities in the field of teaching,can be a counsellor,if they peruse MBA they can be an HR manager etc.Also if they do MPhil they can practice as clinical psychologist.

The college infrastructure is appreciable with all facilities.
The college library provides most refernce texts, articles and previous year question papers.
The laboratory is good with all instruments and ammenities.

Dislikes

The bioscience department is a bit strict compared to other departments.
More extra curricular activities needed to be incorporated.
Exam results take time to be announced by the university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course follows the syllabus prescribed by Mahatma Gandhi University for the affiliated colleges. The curriculum provides both conventional and modern methods of various study. I suggest to incorporate more of practical knowledge than theory as the course is more of a laboratory skilled work. The internal exams are conducted by the college and external semester exams are conducted by the univeristy.

College is a good chapter in my life

Likes

Some teaching methods and the good qualities of teachers
Get more opportunities to the women in preparing functions or program
Now they give career guidance and more programs for women like women cell

Dislikes

I somewhat dislike the college programs and functions
I personally dislike some infrastructures but now they improving their maintenance and other things

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course helps me to know about the diversity of plant kingdom .I also learned a lot about plants through this course. But I suggest if this course has more videos and photos it will help students to understand easily.

Pros and cons of Alphonsa college, pala

Some upgrades were made this year to the college.. New open gym.. Massive cantine. Etc.. Are done... New equipments essential for lab and smart board, and lcds are brought..everything about the infrastructure of the college is improving
From 2022 to 2025,the principal is dr. Shaji john. He is true blessing for the college is a nice person. He didi so many things for the improvement of the college with his own money. He didnt waited for the gov. Funds to come.
The next thing i liked is.. Students are allowed to keep phone. Compared to this other colleges are very strict about cell phones in college.

Dislikes

Teachers of certain departments only support their own students when some arts fest or some kind of competitions are made. Some teachers of certain departments especially english department doesn't even take attendance and support their students to r
Toilets are not maintained well... Its nasty
There's no waste bin to dispose food waste

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum actually doesn't make me chose this course. I was a bs. Botany student... The institution didnt include department of botany for the nature tour????.The curriculum doesnt prepare us for any real life applicationd.. Its just for the marks... Our botany lab actually should teach us more things in the lab but they are only providing the information for marks... The lab knowledge is a great knowledge when we go for higher studies.. We lack it.

A Peek into the Good Old Days

Likes

Various opportunities for women in arts and youth festival
They provided add on course which are certificate courses

Dislikes

Full day programs weren't allowed much during special occasions
Projectors and computers weren't properly working

The curriculum was kind of interesting and made us explore the various aspects and the application of the course. It opened all doors to the research field related to the course. Knowing more about the course integral part of the journey. The exams were kind of easy for us and we all made it pretty well.

The atmosphere and infrastructure so good I love it
The teachers in this psychology department is so friendly and help in studies
Their are cultural processes sports and other event in our college that are conducted beautifully

Dislikes

Their is so many restrictions in girls hostel
Their should be fans in the auditorium where culture programmes are held
More advanced laboratory is required in our college
