CMS College Kottayam Admission
Admission to CMS College is done online through the Admission Portal on the official college’s website. The candidates must apply online through the Admission Portal and candidates can select three programs in an application. Admission is based on a merit list that will be published on the college website and college notice board and it will also be provided through SMS/e-mail.

- Kerala State Higher Education Scholarship: Aims for scholarships to meritorious students to pursue higher education. The scholarships of the awardees selected would be renewed in the ensuing years till they complete their post-graduation.

- Hostel: The college provides hostel facilities for girls, boys, and post-graduate students. It has three hostel buildings.
- Canteen: Food is available at a reasonable price. The management of the college canteen is supervised by the Canteen Committee.
- Library The college has a library of the built-up area of 21,786 sq. ft. There are 76,000 books, 63 Journals, and 40 periodicals. All the books are bar-coded and the issue and return of books are computerized. The average number of walk in’s around 500 per day. The N-LIST program provides more than 3800 e-journals and more than 80,000 e-books.

- Since the college was changed into an autonomous institution, the syllabus has been slightly modified and now it is perfect.
- Internships are great opportunities to develop our skills and learn many more. However, neither the college nor the departments provide any internships.
Dislikes
- Since the degree is not specific to a subject, the number of companies that come up with campus placement is fewer.
- They give importance to education largely, and give the least preference to sports and labs, as they think that our course is not related to sports in any way and no special time is allocated to refresh us

The eligibility of the course is based on the marks you get in the plus two level. The application form and date will be published in the official site of the college. There will reservation according to the caste and religion. The exams willbe conducted on exact tine given in the college calender. As of now the admission is so good so there wouldn‘t need any improvements.

The admission procedure was completely based on the mark scored in 12th standard and also application for Cultural quotas are open. And same as college, being a college, which gives more important to sports as well, helps you gain in admission or seat with your excellence in sports and cultural activities activities.

- Well maintained premises.The exams and results are on time and no lag in syllabus completion.College has a Theatre for educational purposes and media room for the CMS news channel.
- One of the oldest library facility in Kerala that promotes the reading habit in students. The library not only provides research section but also have access to numerous e-books and facilities.
Dislikes
- Though my department offered very good facilities for the improvement of students, the science departments do not have any advanced lab facilities or other necessities.
- Toilet facility is not available in all departments.

In the previous years selection was based on entrance test,allotment and personal interview. There are management seats available but still students have to under go all the phases of admission just like merit seats. The admission process can be more transparent and convenient.

The admission is based the mark you scored in your previous public exam . For under graduation consider plus two marks . For post graduation consider under graduation marks . There is no entrance exam for admission till now.

- The overall ambience of the college, calm and cool atmosphere.
- The pollution free campus is much attractive. The vast flaura and fauna in the campus is very interesting. Plants of 100s of uears of age is present in the campus.

- Canteen is located at one end of the campus. It makes the students hard to come from the other end for lunch during break hours. The distance sometimes bothered us.
Admission:
As I was really curious about the college I was about to study, it made my whole journey really fascinating. The college had no entrance exams. The admission was purely based on the marks students received in their tenth and twelfth classes. We just need to give an application for the desired course. The management committee will select enough students based on several criteria such as marks, reservation, sports quota etc. The form to be filled is given in the college website. The college provides special reservation benefits so anyone who are eligible in that manner also can give the application. The course I took was Zoology. Exams are conducted regularly on a month basis and also Semester and in semester exams are also conducted. Teachers do help us in every problems that we may face. The college stands with pride even now after 200 years of its establishment. The history behind the college is quite exciting. All those who wish to visit or join the college are heartily welcomed.

The application form can be found from the colleges official site and the universities site the site also included the application fees and application date. Reservations weren't availed to me . The frequency and timing of exams were moderate. Adimission processes can be made more easily accessible
