I like the teachers like dr.sheena she is one of the best teacher here .
Placements and internship opportunities are good. research support is also very strong. bangalore is nearby hence a lot of companies visit for campus placements
Fees are somewhat high but a lot of scholarship opportunities are there for students, especially college fee is free for those whose annual income is less than one lakh and third for those less than five lakhs

Dislikes

There was a lack of transparency while choosing college hostel.
Hostel food is not good, actually veg mess food is not good at all
There are not lot of thing which i dislike its just two which i mentioned above.

Campus Life, Beach, Vicinity to Mangalore and Kerala
Awesome places to go for hiking, vicinity to Goa
Clubs, Hostel Life, Sports events, Annual Fests

Dislikes

Strict Administration, need for paperwork for everything
Mangalore being shut down by 9PM, No night life
Locals are either very welcoming or very hostile, extreme people

Placement Experience:

5th semester onwards students are eligible for on campus internship offers and 7th sem onwards for Placement. Students are made aware of off campus opportunities as well. About 900 companies visit throughout the year for placements and roughly 80-90% placement is observed annually with a median package of 13LPA and average of 9LPA. Highest Package offered is by Amazon with a CTC of 54LPA. As a Mechanical Engineer highest package in core profiles is 20LPA and in branch highest CTC observed is 34LPA

Drive through NITK

Campus Culture - provides a proper environment for students to develop their skills and overall personality
Infrastructure - infrastructure is good especially the CIDS building where classes conducted for 1st year and the research facilities.
Campus life - having a beach in college in amazing, it's relaxation for us here and it's the only college to have a private beach.

Dislikes

Some of the department building are too old as our civil department
Mess food here is bad, it becomes even more bad as time progresses.
Weather conditions are too bad eather it rains heavily or the Sun burns like hell

Placement Experience:

Overall placement percentage of Btech students is 93%, It is important to maintain CG above 7, People here get packages around 20 lakhs with good efforts, and one of my senior got 55 lakhs placement, Internship offers start from 3yr and many people get pre placement offers. And the average package is around 12lpa.

Weather at NITK is often humid due to presence of beach

The first thing that comes to mind is best place

Dislikes

College is beside the beach. Whenever it is rain season. All the water comes inside the rooms and get flatter inside and no proper accommodations action

Wholesome experience at NITK

Likes

The hostel life of nitk is really good with beach in campus
The club of college, which helps students very much
Last but not least the private beach of campus

Dislikes

The mess food can be really improved it is not worth it
Campus can be maintained better with cleaning properly
The administration needs to be student supportive

Placements are quite good. Mainly for circuital branches and IT. There are many core companies which come for EEE core and number of software companies as well. Overall the placements are good. The highest package offered is around 52lacs in software and 37lacs in core. Nearly 93% students get placed.

Overall experience

Likes

Overall experience is like awesome and beautiful
We studied a lot and also we enjoyed a lot during our sems
We played a lot of cricket in NITK and also we played a lot of games

Dislikes

I disliked my college due to corona we cannot come to college for first 3 sems
And also i haven't paced yet so i cannot blame my college so that it is a dislike for me
And mainly climate i disliked in this college

Placement Experience:

Yeah placements are good actually placements are started from 3rd year onwards as a internship and from 4th year onwards it is like full time development role and also some of our friends placed in BPCL and Delhivery and many other companies

The e library and central library complex.
Beach of our college which is very beautiful.
Provides support for startups and entrepreneurs.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is good here.We get campus placement of around 15LPA.Reputed companies come here for offering placement.Some of the notable companies are Bajaj,Tata.Also off campus placements are available.

Sports and many extra curricular activities in this campus
And placements are so well and lecturers help a lot to students

Dislikes

Hostel need to take care more and water problem is thir

Placement Experience:

The placements are very good in this campus and the average is also very good for CSE and many more. The placements ratio is around 9 for 10 and very well maintained CDC for students . And students learn more from lecturers.

Everything about NITK

Likes

I loved my college life here in NITK. Simply amazing.
The sport facilities provided are quite good.
Most of the things are managed by students.

Dislikes

There is a swimming pool but it was never open for us🙂
Mess food can be improved quite a bit sometimes I can't eat.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally good. But this year due to recession and all the placements have fallen quite a bit. Many big companies like Oracle, Tata, has visited and nearly 75% got placed till now whereas last year it was 90%. lower package in my college 4.8 LPA and highest package in college is 8lpa.

Star things at NITK

Likes

Beach is so good to visit everytime you want
Good faculty with students alliance and cooperative
Good infrastructure, peaceful to roam around college

Dislikes

Still i havent undestand why i have done btech
Placements should have get more for everyone this year
Mess food should be definitely improved. Poor quality of food in some messes

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in our college. But due to recession this year, placement percentage got reduced. Companies like Amazon, google, microsoft etc are visited. Aws provide highest package this year 55ctc. Around 90 got placed this year on average of 10lpa. My plan after getting degree will be doing job.

NIT Surathkal is one of the premium engineering colleges in India. It has an amazing faculty pool with top-notch infrastructure. Many big companies visit the campus for placements. The campus is huge with all basic amenities like hostels, health care centers, sports facilities, etc. Students are provided with 24/7 internet facility and also basic facilities like water and electricity.

The campus life is very dynamic with many technical and cultural events taking place on campus. Your peers are mainly people who couldn't make it to IITs but are very talented. Moreover, you get to experience the breathtaking view of the Arabian Sea.

NIT Surathkal organizes one of the best Cultural Fest Incidents every year. Additionally, many startups have been founded and co-founded by NITKians which has improved the startup culture to a great extent. Ultimately, college is more about what you learn and experience!
