Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum of electrical and electronics engineering is well updated as per industry requirements from the students. I chose electrical engineering with my passion towards the course as well as the scope of employment in the course. There will be frequent quizzes in the academics to test your understanding of the subject along with mid sem and end semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are many companies which offer intership in core companies like TI, Bajaj, cat, Intel, Qualcomm, tata etc the stipend will be roughly 30000. Projects given in intership will be depend on the company.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are quite good. Mainly for circuital branches and IT. There are many core companies which come for EEE core and number of software companies as well. Overall the placements are good. The highest package offered is around 52lacs in software and 37lacs in core. Nearly 93% students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I belong to ST category there's is no tution fee but there will be hostel and mess fee which should be paid semester wise. Mess fee will be 30000 per semester and hostel fee will be 7000 per semester. SC/ST students can avail NSP scholarship or financial assistance scholarship from college.

Campus Life

4.5

Or college have very good social life with academic balance. There are various technical and non technical clubs of which you can be part of which will help you in overall developement of your personality which I'm turn help in your after college life and placements.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

1 and 2 years will be given shared rooms, 3 and 4 years will be given single rooms in see hostels. Mess food is okayish not bad but can be better for the fee which we pay. Hostel fee is affordable but not the mess fee it's bit on higher side for the menu they provide.

Admission

To get into you have to write jee mains. That's the only eligibility exam. The cut of electrical and electronics engineering of NITK will be around 96 percentile for reserved category. Mains is conducted twice per every year and the difficulty of the exam is moderate to difficult which can be cracked by 2 years of dedicated preperation. The admission process was smooth

Placement Experience:

campus placements in the collage usually start during the final year, and students generally become eligible from the 7th semester depending on their academic performance and eligibility criteria set by companies . The placement cell in the collage helps students by organizing placements drives, aptitude training, and career guidance sessions. varies companies visit the campus every year mainly from IT, Service, and some core engineering sectors. Companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and other mid-level organizations have visited for recruitment in previous years . the average package offered to students is usually around 4LPA to 10LPA depending on the company and job role, while the highest package may very each year based on the recruiting companies . A reasonable percentage of students secure placements through campus recuitment, while some studies or look for opportunities outside campus placements. after completing the degree, my plan is to build strong techical skills and pursue opportunities in the core engineering.

Placements in our college are pretty good with the average package being around 10 lakhs. Our college provides comprehensive training to prepare us for placments by conducting training over 2 months for both technical rounds as well as non-technical aptitude rounds.
