Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum for cse course in Nitk includes DSA and practical application of os , DBMS , and daa . And provides many projects for better applications knowledge of the student . And the exams are conducted once in a month and difficultly will be 8

Interships in this college are very well and many got interships this year also the campus gives a wide range of opportunities for the students and they teach us about life and many more things and help us alot

Placement Experience

The placements are very good in this campus and the average is also very good for CSE and many more. The placements ratio is around 9 for 10 and very well maintained CDC for students . And students learn more from lecturers.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is 80k per semester and 30k is the hostel fees for the student as I am oc i don't have the availability of scholarships and the financial assistance if done by the my parents and the campus employment and the placements are very well done in this campus

Campus Life

The overall campus life is so good and the focusing in other aspects also very well maintained. As of clubs there are many good clubs lik IEEE acm and many more .i myself am inter nit player and sports will be for all the people

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is little bad but the meal is good and menu have many varieties. Registration is very easy and for hostel and affordable.i stay in hostel and it is very well maintained till now by many staff .

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Admission process is quite simple by filling application form which will be sent to you via email only if you get selected in Nitk through josaa and csab. the reservation benefits include exception in tution fees for sc/st.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.

Journey from student to an engineer

Pros: Good faculty, Good internet, Advance labs, Huge library, Lot of opportunities (100+companies for placement), International exposure through DAAD internship, Big grounds, swimming pool, basket ball court, volleyball court, kho-kho ground.
