Overall the faculty at nit srinagar is good they provide us with good study material and they have average speaking skills we can understand their lectures easily jsnsnjdjdhdhshshhsjsjshhshshshshshshhshshshshhshshshshshshhshshdh
It has a beautiful campus and the best facilities the library has a huge amount of books and has free wifi speed like 100mbps.
In nit srinagar campus placement is very good many companies visit and they offer good packages highest packages in our college is 40-50 lpa that is good and many companis like tata hcl visits out college

Dislikes

Placements are very poor as only 20-30% students get placed with an average package of 6lpa!
Rapid development must has to present here which feels bad about this college.
There are no oncampus internships you have to find one your own and let college know about it.they put restrictions on everything and no proper leave is given for the internship facilities mentor you correctly and guide you

NIT Srinagar review by an other state student.

Likes

NIT Srinagar atmosphere is good. Wheather is cool every time.
I like my Department ( Mechanical Department ) so much.
The beauty of Kashmir makes NIT Srinagar a different college in which we can visit any tourist place if our mood is not good.

Dislikes

The campus is small so there is no very much space left for extra activities.
There are no summer vacation here but there are winter vacation.
Travelling to NIT Srinagar by road from Jammu is dangerous.

From the beginning of the 7th semester, all students become eligible for campus placements. There are so many companies like ACC, Accenture, Adani, ALSTON, Amazon, Bajaj, big basket, blog vault, brillo, Byju's, Chegg, cognizant, Deloitte, EIL, Gail, Google, HDFC bank, Honda, IBM, InCREFF, Inforsis, JFW, jungle works, Microsoft, maruti suzuki, Nippon steel, ONGC, NTPC, IOCL, BPHL, HPCL, BHEL, DRDO, Kirloskar Oil, NHPC, WIPRO, Vedanta, TCS, Mahindra & Mahindra, TATA MOTORS, etc.

beauty of nit srinagar: nit srinagar is having very beautiful campus.
here weather is good as there is not much heat in summers
faculty is so good and here water is very good

Dislikes

placements are not very good compared to other NITs
there is no summer vacations but winter vacations of almost 50 days

From the 7th sem, students are eligible for placements. Finisar, IBM, ABB, Polarises, Indian Oil, NTPC, BYJUS, ETC. In the 2023 BATCH, the highest is 36 LPA for a CSE graduate and the average is 12 LPA (my assumption after seeing the list). At least 75% get placements. My plan after my degree is to get a placement

Campus is one of the most beautiful among engineering colleges in India, Placement, infrastructure and campus life are good.are
Faculties are very experienced and have depth knowledge of their subjects.
Placements, Infrastructure and campus life are good.

Dislikes

Very cold in winter , temperature drops to negative during december.
As this college is located in Kashmir there is very little night life outside the campus.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good, from circuital branches most of the students get multiple offers and from non-circuital branches also placement is around 90%. Companies start visiting at the end of the 6th semester. This year more than 250 companies visited the campus with more than 1250 offers. The package is 36.5 lpa and the average is around 8 lpa. Different companies offer different profiles like SDE, BA, Analyst, GET, ELT, MT etc. More than 90% of students get placed here. I'm also placed and will work there.

i liked the view and the nature of the college

Dislikes

i didn't liked the transportation facility to reach the college

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after the 6th semester. companies visited this year are microsoft, optum, hdfc bank, and many more companies. approx 98% of the students in our batch were placed. highest package offered in 2021 was 42 lakhs and a student of 4th year have bagged a massive package of 82 lakhs in amazon off campus this year.

A decent review of NIT Srinagar

Likes

The view from the college when i wake up i get to see the sun rising from the mountains that view is quite energetic.
Campus life at the college as we have good sports facilities we spend the rest of the time there.

Dislikes

The connectivity as i belong to uttar pradesh and it takes 2 days for me to reach over here

Placement Experience:

from the 6th semester the students become eligible for the placements a total of 350 companies visited the college and a maximum package of 42 lpa was offered last year 90% of the students get placed considering all branches 100% from it branch hai 97% from the cse branch

Infrastructure are good and in December snowfall happen and looks beautiful nature

Nothing but few students has compromised for location

Our college placements are very good Especially for CS, IT and ECE The highest package for our college is 46 LPA in CS branch The average package for CS, IT is 12 LPA Other branch placements are decent Many PSUs come for placements and give 22 LPA Google, Samsung, Infosys, Microsoft, Optum, Power Grid, ONGC, GAIL, BHEL, NTPC, Vedanta, L and T, TATA, Goldman sacs, Amazon, etc

Placements are really good as it is NIT. Around 85 percent of all branches are getting placements with average package of 6.5 Lacs and highest package of 27 LPA. Even i am placed in 2 companies. All big MNCs and all core companies visit our campus like Vedanta, tata, juspay, Oracle, optum, and many more.

The placement records of our college have seen a significant improvement over a few years with the institution recording all-time high placement records in the 2023 year. The student started getting placement offers in the 6th semester. The average package is 12LPA, the highest package is 40LPA and the Lowest package is 6LPA.

One of the beautiful college campus in india

Campus is great compare to other colleges
Placement is good in computer science branch

Dislikes

Mess food is just average they should improve it

Placement Experience:

Placement is good in our college compared to other NITs we get in these ranks. CSE & IT is considered best here then ECE is also good. You can go for lower branches also, placement does happen in every branch. Our average placement is 13lpa. Every year nearly early 80% of students got placed in this college.

NIT SRINAGAR Best with some cons

Likes

I liked the faculty of my department, they are very much helpful and qualified.
Co curricular activities are also very much up to the mark that i liked also
Library provides an opportunity to study whatever a student wishes to with the help of books and internet facilities.

Dislikes

Some of the buildings are really old and should have been demolished and new ones built.

Placement Experience:

Placements are offered in the college after the 6th semester. Students who are willing to get a placement can apply after 6th semester in the placement cell of the college. There are different companies like HCL, Samsung, Infosys etc. From last year's placement data, the highest package was 25 lakh and the average package for the IT department was 11.5 lakh. Almost 80% of students who applied got their placements. I also have plans to get my placement on campus and get a good package.
