I am interested in mechanical engineering so I choose Mechanical engineering. The Faculty -students ratio is 1:6. All faculty are having at least Ph.D. Degree from IITs & NITs. The teaching method is too good but somewhere there is a language problem because all professors are from different States. All exams are on time and passing the exam is not difficult if you study from the beginning of the semester.

Many IITs & NITs, PSUs, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS and many more. AI-generated projects, Robotics, Automobiles, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mining, Web development, App development, Thermal projects, and many more as their branch.

From the beginning of the 7th semester, all students become eligible for campus placements. There are so many companies like ACC, Accenture, Adani, ALSTON, Amazon, Bajaj, big basket, blog vault, brillo, Byju's, Chegg, cognizant, Deloitte, EIL, Gail, Google, HDFC bank, Honda, IBM, InCREFF, Inforsis, JFW, jungle works, Microsoft, maruti suzuki, Nippon steel, ONGC, NTPC, IOCL, BPHL, HPCL, BHEL, DRDO, Kirloskar Oil, NHPC, WIPRO, Vedanta, TCS, Mahindra & Mahindra, TATA MOTORS, etc.

The fee is different for different categories. SC/ST, PWD, and all other categories having an income of less than 1 Lakh are not having any tuition fees. Therefore total academic fee for 4 years: SC/ST & PWD = 1 Lakh Other categories having income < 1 Lakh = 1 Lakh Income between 1 to 5 Lakh = 2.4 Lakh Income above 5 Lakh = 6 Lakh. All Scholarships throughout India in which you are eligible according to your category and income are also valid at NIT Srinagar.

There are a lot of fests like IIEDC, TRIBOINDIA, ICCBT, Techvaganza, and TEDx. The number of available books, journals, video cassettes, and many resources is approx 2 Lakh, which is sufficient for us. All types of amenities like smart boards, ACs, Fans, Lights, Speakers, and Wi-Fi in every classroom. There are all types of ground for every sport like cricket, running track, badminton, volleyball, football, long jump, high jump, Gym, tennis, basketball, table tennis, chess, carrom board, etc.

The first-year student is given either Chenab Hostel or Indu's hostel. Both these hostels are identical. Each room of these hostels are having a bed, chair, study table, cub board, fans, electric sockets, and ventilation windows. The menu is better and there is separate timing for veg and non-veg food. The meal quality is good. You will get easily a hostel at the time of physical reporting. The hostel fee is Rs. 8000/semester.

JEE Mains Entrance Exam is necessary to get admission. NTA conducts this entrance exam. All rule of reservation is valid in jee mains exam. Everything is good in the admission process, one needs to good score in JEE MAINS Exam.
