Because of my interest in mechanical engineering I want to go into robotics that's why I choose Faculties are Best and teaching method is good Many faculties graduate from renowned IITs and foreign universities

Internships Opportunities

DRDO, Barc, Isro and many good IITs and IISc Easily provide for internship in any stream Some PSUs have also given internships to students Overall good working for our college in terms of placements and internship

Placement Experience

Our college placements are very good Especially for CS, IT and ECE The highest package for our college is 46 LPA in CS branch The average package for CS, IT is 12 LPA Other branch placements are decent Many PSUs come for placements and give 22 LPA Google, Samsung, Infosys, Microsoft, Optum, Power Grid, ONGC, GAIL, BHEL, NTPC, Vedanta, L and T, TATA, Goldman sacs, Amazon, etc

Fees and Financial Aid

If your a family income below one lakh then your tuition fees have been waived in the general/ews/obc category For all SC/ST candidates has full tuition fee waived off NSP scholarship and many state government scholarship has been provided

Campus Life

College Life is awesome Many clubs in our college like Robonox for robotics and AI, Semicolon for coding, SAIndia, Squad Club, Dance and Singing club, Automophiles, Syndicate, etc You can join any club

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities have been good There are five hostels in the college 1. Indus Hostel for the first year 2. Chenab Hostel for the second year 3. Manasar and Manasbal Hostelfor third year 4. Jhelum and Tawi Hostel for the fourth year 5. PG Hostel There are provided many facilities like Gieser for hot water and purified water for drinking And food meal is OK OK not bad nor good it depends on your taste

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
