The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
"hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.

Dislikes

The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

The most beautiful college NIT Hamirpur

It has one of the most beautiful campus and it it is surrounded by greenery all around. There is 95% placement in mechanical engineering which is my department. We have grand fests like hillfair which is cultural fest and nimbus which is technical .
We have various cultural and technical clubs and societies which we can join according to our interest and we can join it by giving interviews taken by our seniors.Apart for them we have sports club ,gym with various equipments
Hostel food is good ,we get all the basic nutrients required in hostel and four meels is there. Apart from them we have good food shops in campus like verka , Amul ,pooja shopping centre ,food court ,food plaza

Dislikes

There is a lot of restrictions to girls . Intiming is 6:30 for the first year and 9:30 for the rest . And no outings are allowed at the initial period in campus
There is road connectivity issue as airport as well as railway station are very from college and there is very small market nearby
Many people here fall in drug abuse and even the professors are very strict and not student friendly

Placement rate is good in mechanical engineering which is Almost 90 percent and average package is 6-8 lakh . From seventh semester students become eligible for college placement. And many good companies visit like Jsw ,adani ,realiance and many more. Highest package is 1 crore but it was in it sector. After getting degree I will opt for placements

infrastructure of college is very good have many facilities in NIT hamirpur like gym , student activity centre , almost all kind sports , big campus and every required facility is there for betterment of the individual .
Lush green campus , flowers and gardens inside the campus .
Big grounds and newly made SAC student activity centre

Dislikes

If campus is big sometimes you have walk a long way
you dont find dominos , mcdonalds , big bazaar like big brands
Hamirpur connectivity is not by railways or airport

Placement Experience:

College placement are good , very high for IT branches that is CSE and ECE having packages sometimes higher than 50LPA but it also offer decent placement to core branches with average package of 6LPA.

I have very good experienced for reviewing here., I hope this helped to others for future admission.

Likes

The college is very prestigious and placement is superb, most of the student placed in final year.
the environment of the college is good and laboratory is very good for practical.
All the faculty is well qualified and the teaching style is superb especially by Dr. D nath Sir.

Dislikes

Ragging is ther at that time but I dont think now ragging is there now these days.
Hostel food sometime is not good but after our complain they resolve this issue.
In Hostel students seat is fixed so some of the students not getting any place if they are late.

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is superb. the students were selected in the 7th to 8th semester. In my time the company visited is 35. The percentage of the students selected is approx 99%. I am planning to work for 2 years after that I resign from the job and going for higher education.

3 Years in NITH passed like running water

Being a male student from the mechanical branch. i think the gender ratio here is very good compared to a standard engineering college
the campus is lush green and the quality of air is very good. and the surroundings is also perfect the city is located at a perfect distance, not too far not too close
The buildings in the campus look very good and majestic, i literally feel like its a technical college

Dislikes

the administration like any other college is not that good.
being in an off-beat city, there is minimal induatrial exposure and also the lack of good places to goof around in the city. boring city, boring people.
the locals or the homestate people here get the college at a very low rank so its like they produce a wide variety of students present in the same class with even 5 fold rank difference.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are good enough considering a middle class background as i am from. the opportunities provided are very good compared to private and some government colleges even. The students are eligible for campus placements from 7th semester onwards, some students are even offered pre placement offers in fifth and sixth semester.

Beautiful campus of Himachal Pradesh

Likes

NIT Hamirpur is one of the most beautiful campus, infrastructure structure is good.
Faculties are expert in their field and are quite supportive.
The placements are good. Around 80% of students are placed.The girls to boys ratio is one-four.

Dislikes

There is shortage of water in hostels,so this is a big problem.
Rules for girls is very strict and are pointless.

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is good.About 80%of students are placed. From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Companies like Amazon, Paytm, samsung, Bloomberg,IBM, Accenture,Oracle visit campus to offer jobs.

Nit Hamirpur and experience

Likes

The campus not Hamirpur is so beautiful and has many sceneries to look around.
The climate is also so nice and it is easy to handle
The places to roam apart from nit Hamirpur are more

Dislikes

The food is not so good that students from different areas can't adjust to it
There is the drug culture in nit Hamirpur but the administration is trying to make an end to it
Some of the places are restricted that they are dangerous.

The campus placements of nit Hamirpur are very much good and the highest package offered in 2022 is 173 lpa and in 2023 56 lpa. I don't think so that that the starting packages are very bad. Average package is 7.54 lpa in all over courses

The infrastructure of the college, and the culture.

Dislikes

As we are in himachal pradesh transportation is the issue here
Boys to girls ratio is 5:1 in btech courses except architecture

NIT HAMIRPUR has considerably 100% placement rate except few branches like computer science and ece... In campus placement offers a wide range of placement packages from 4lakh to 1cr. Off campus placement i dont know about that

I liked the architecture at the college. The department buildings are very well built with all the facilities.
I liked the atmosphere and the greenery at the college.

Dislikes

I disliked the way they put the restrictions for the first year.
There is a high chance that you might easily get into narcotics.

Placement Experience:

From the third year students can apply for the campus placements through the Placement Cell Of the College. Approximately 90 percent students get placed in the core companies. My plan after the degree is to work at a MNC to gain experience and then would try to do my masters from abroad.

4 1st year student I think it it's no so much relevant but the second year and 3rd year and onwards syllabus is relevant for our benefit first year communication skill is good it will help our development in human resource development communication skill is very helpful and ethical development also there
