The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
"hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.

Dislikes

The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

The clubs and societies here are of top notch quality.
The lecture halls are modern equipped with smart boards.
The beauty and greenery of the campus are incomparable.

Dislikes

During monsoon , the pipeline for water supply gets frequently damaged, leading to water shortage.
The connectivity of the campus is not at all good
The internet facility provided here is very poor.

Placement Experience:

The best data of placement was from the placement of the batch of 2019-23, where highest package offered stood at ?1.7 Cr and the percentage of students placed from all the courses available were 72.47%.

The campus is lush green, and the environment is good.

Dislikes

They dont allow freshers to roam around the campus freely

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is old, it is not updated, as any other national Institute of technology. It really doesn't matter in the end you have to learn everything by yourself , and its okay this curriculam can introduce you to engineeeing.

Campus is great , there is greenrry all over the campus which makes it best
I would suggest them to please work on the water issue in yhe hostels
And the faculty's need to be more experienced and professionals

Dislikes

Water facilities in hostel is worst and cleanliness
The bathrooms stings so badly that u may not even survive
Mess faculty must improve their food processing

I myself find me to b tech keda and one who love to work with equipments and all .so i found mechanical branch great and even more interesting as we have to be on ground to work and we are able to experience the physics more accurately.

NIT HAMIRPUR IN&OUT

The atmosphere over here is great, the greenery and the cool fresh air always makes you feel refreshing.
The faculties are very supportive as well as experienced, they try to solve the doubts of each and every student.
The societies here at NITH are very helpful for the overall personal development of students as they conduct various events, workshops and competitions throughout the year.

Dislikes

I have not yet experienced but have come to known that the students gradually get addicted to various sort of narcotics.
The college has a very high quota for home state students.
The girls to boys ratio is not very good, it's approximately 2:9.

Placement Experience:

NIT Hamirpur has an impressive placement record. For the year 2023, out of 952 eligible students, 690 were placed, achieving a placement rate of 72.65%. The highest salary package offered was a whopping INR 173 LPA, while the average salary stood at INR 7.54 LPA.

The campus is like heaven the compus is very good
The campus at top and views are really such good
Decent infrastructure and large campus and experienced faculty

Dislikes

There are many restrictions and not allowed the first year student to go out
You shouldn't go out with slippers and shots you should wear shoes
There is a water scarcity in this hilly area

Placement Experience:

The 8th semester students are eligible for campus placement 713 companies visited the campus, and 690 students were placed out of 952 eligible students. The highest package offered was INR 173 LPA, and the median package for BTech and MTech was INR 8.25 LPA and INR 7.50 LPA, The 72.65%studet placed in nit Hamirpur My plans after getting degree to place in a good company the offers a good position and income and make a life comfortable and independent

NIT Hamirpur in a brief.

Likes

Beautiful campus. The plants and grass is well maintained throughout the campus, the infrastructure is very good.
The campus is very clean and is very large. 320 acres of space in the entire campus.
The entire campus is connected with great smooth roads with zero potholes

Dislikes

The hostel has water availability issues.
The sanitation in the hostel washroom isn't the best right now due to water supply shortage.

Placement Experience:

The placement is decent, most branches get a good placement percentage, CSE is the main highlight here and other branches like mechanical and electronics and communication engineering also get decent packages.

Overview of NIT Hamirpur

Likes

If you came to NIT Hamirpur you can experience a very good atmosphere around. It's a quite beautiful campus in mountains
College infrastructure is also well developed and you can even experience great sports facilities available at the students activity center..
College seniors are quite good and supporting in almost every field.You can come and join various societies present in NIT Hamirpur

Dislikes

Being a first year student you need to enter the hostel by 6:00 pm
In first few months you are allowed to go to the local markets on weekends..
There are certain boundations and rules you need to follow in the first few months of college..

Placement Experience:

Generally students are allowed to sit in placements from their 3rd year onwards..Campus placement offers you a very great opportunities to work and join various leading companies..Colleges placement percentage stood around 75% and highest package offered is 1.73 crores to a student after his BTech.

Journey of my college life

Likes

College atmosphere is good and awesome, the playground is good and the lecture hall newly built.
College has good greenery and a open environment. Moreover the hostels are good and food is also good.
The college canteen provide good food at low price. The gym facility in the college is also good .

Dislikes

The college campus is too big and we have to cover a lot of distance to go from one place to another.
There is a lack of proper connectivity to the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

So I am a student of mechanical engineering, so the course is good and to the point to the mechanical field. It is related to the latest concepts and latest technology. Often there are AutoCAD classes that are well used for us in the field.

the location of the campus, lush green surrounded by the view of mighty Dhauladhar range of Himalyas
Faculty is well qualified and has a great sense of teaching
Coding culture , NIT hamirpur has one of the best coding culture

Dislikes

infrastructure is very average and needs to be rennovated
sports facility , there is no great facilities . we only have a Student Activity center which has decent facility which are not upto the mark
gym. There is only one Gym in Student Activity Center . Only two hostels have the gym facility

Placement Experience:

NITH has a good placements for the computer science branch and the average package for computer science branch is 14-15 lakhs per annum. for the core branches it is not upto the mark. the average package for the core branches is 6.8 lakhs per annum . although the percentage of the students placed is pretty high

The fellow mates whom i met till date in my colege all are well taught and mannered.
The administration is quite helping and considers the problems of students as it comes to their knowledge.
It has the most beautiful campus in the north india in about an area of 320 acres.

Dislikes

Some of the professors might be seen a bit partial to a particular student or a group.
The hostels are a bit old school type, so there are frequent water shortage conditions.

Placement Experience:

The placement drive begins from the beginning of 7th semester for the four year bachelor's programs. The average package offered in my stream .i.e. Mechanical engineering is about 8-9 lakhs per year. The placements depend upon the students knowledge and grades. And the placement percentage of college is above 75%.
