- NIT Hamirpur is one of the most beautiful campus, infrastructure structure is good.
- Faculties are expert in their field and are quite supportive.
- The placements are good. Around 80% of students are placed.The girls to boys ratio is one-four.
Dislikes
- There is shortage of water in hostels,so this is a big problem.
- Rules for girls is very strict and are pointless.
Course Curriculum Overview
NEP 2020 is good ,but some changes are required,but overall it is very good it prepares students for projects.it enhance students' skills ,creativity, logical thinking.the modified syllabus of NEP reduce burden on students and they focus more on core subjects ,projects and gain a comprehensive learning experience

Internships are good. Many comany visit in college like Accenture,Samsung ,Paytm to offer job. About 80%of students are placed.Facilites for research are available .For project exposure we can participate in hacathon ,electrothron.

Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee I pay is Rs.41933 per semester. The tution fee for the student of open category is Rs. 62500 per semester and one time institute charge is Rs.13000 only in 1 semester and per semester institute charge is Rs.21100.The total fee for open gategory is Rs. 96600 for first semester and Rs.83600 for the rest semesters.The tution fee for the student whose family income is between Rs.1Lakh to Rs.5 Lakh per annum is Rs. 20833 per semester and one time institute charge applicable at the time of admission only is Rs13000 and per semester institute charges is 21100,the total fee for 1 st semester is Rs.54933 and for rest of semesters is Rs.41933 per semester. The tution fee for the student whose family income is below Rs.1 Lakh per annum is Rs.0 and one time institute charge applicable at the time of admission only is Rs.13000 and per semester institute charge is Rs.21100,The total fee for 1st semester is Rs.34100 and for rest of semesters is Rs.21100.The tution fee for the SC ST and PH student is Rs.0 ,one time institute charge is Rs.13000 and per semester institute charge is Rs.21100,the total fee for 1st semester is Rs.34100and for rest of semesters is Rs.21100 per semester.
Campus Life
The annual festival held is HILLFAIR which is held nearly in October and the technical festival is NIMBUS which is held nearly in March.The students have the access of library as well as e-library from where they can download books and previous year question paper.The sports facilities are available for both boys and girls.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fee is Rs.70000 per year.Lan is provided in hostel rooms .The meal quality and menu is not too good nor too bad.Hostels rooms are quite good.In first 7 sharing room is provided,then for 2nd year 2,4 seater room is provided.for 3rd year single or 2 seater room is provided and same for final year.
Admission
The admission in college is through josaa counselling.one shoud first give jeemain,secure a good rank then apply in josaa counselling.After counselling you should complete the registration process by physical reporting in college.
Faculty
The faculties are good in their job and are quite approachable.There are two exams conducted per semester. One is mid semester exam of 30marks and other is end semester exam of 50 marks.And 20 marks is for internal.It is not too difficult to pass exam.
