NIT Hamirpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placements in this college is very much good and the placement rate is above 90% overall with the highest off campus placement of Rs.1.73 cr per annum. The placements are in the final year only but you are eligible for the interships after completing the second year itself. A lot of companies, mainly like Google, microsoft and many other conglomerates recruit here. My plan after getting the degree is to research furthur in the AI & Ml field.

The college provides a quite decent placement. This year highest package was 2 Cr and previous year highest package was 1.73 Cr . More than 40 companies visited.Top recruiters were Samsung ,CRED, Syska,Croma,Oracle , Accenture etc. More than 80 percent students get placed and after my degree I am also thinking of getting placed .

The placements are good with an average package of around 10- 12 lpa overall and 15-16 lpa for cse branch. Maximum students got placed here. Some students choose to pursue higher degrees instead of going for placements.

Computer Science is a very optimistic branch of this college , there is a lot of scope of Computer Science in future . And the college is trying their best to teach us and training us to deal with the real world

Placement of nit hamirpur is good computer science as always opted the highest package with the highest average package although every branch have good placement opportunies including civil electrical

The course curriculum of Nit Hamirpur more specifically based on industrial or real world problems solving scenarios. It help students to tackle the real world problems and come up with optimal solutions to problem. The exams level is touching the gate level.I thing teaching should be in bilingual maner(Hindi and English)

I think the first year will be a bit tough but the coming years will be as per your branch. First year includes basics of all engineering which is essential for overall growth of an engineer. Apart from that all the clubs and societies have their eyes on the first years. So its always a bit hectic but its upto a student to manage time efficiently

The students start applying and interning for companies in their third year from the fifth semester and are eligible for campus placements from the seventh semester onwards. Around 40 companies visited the college for on-campus placements and the highest package offered was 52 LPA. The average and median packages offered were around 13.7 LPA and 12.8 LPA and the majority of the packages offered were in the IT sector apart from some management and quant jobs. Some of the major companies visited for campus placements include CRED, Philips, Samsung, JP Morgan Chase, and Deloitte among others. Many students opt to pursue higher education mainly through MBA or M.Tech for better career opportunities. Some even go into the government sector. The placement percentage of the college is commendable though the average package does not live up to its expectations being the college an NIT, an institute of national importance.

The course curriculum during the first year is the same for every branch but after the first year a department has its own courses regarding its subjects and the curriculum is almost the same as compared to every other institute having core subjects included.

Students after 2nd year can apply/appear for summer internship or along with winter intern programs thereby making their resume good . Placement are started when a student enters the 4th year in btech and companies start visiting the campus. They offer good packages highest was 2 crore off campus 1.73 cr on campus And min was 8 lpa
