A well rounded college experience with striong Academics and Environments

Likes

The faculties are very helpful and cooperative.
Competitive Environment and accessibility of library
Boys and girls ration are approximately equal .

Dislikes

Lack of innovation. There no innovative Environment.
There is no sports facility for other than physical education even dont have ground fir paticular sports
Infrastructure and buildings need to be improve .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I started this course because its strong foundation in material science electronics and astrophysics. The syllabus includes core subject ,elective,and project work that help build both theoraticle and practicle knowledge.

Happy college life

Likes

The teaching staff is really well qualified.
Social intraction is very good and i have friends besides of my stream.
Teaching meathod is exellent by some teachers who are really famous for their teaching.

Dislikes

Lack of infrastructure , we dont had sufficient rooms to take classes due to which we had to adjust.
Library is very short having capasity less than 200 students.
The courses are not that much effective in case of placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quite good in relevance and comprihansiveness . The timing of the exam on the difficulty level is not that much effictive or it needed a lod of improvemnet according to me. The college time is waste of time and money

Review of Himachal Pradesh University

Likes

College have good faculty member with good education qualification.
College have good lab and practical knowledge is excellent.
Non teaching staff is also very helpful and all the academic work easily done in campus.

Dislikes

Location of the university is noot good.
University lack food canteen and place for sitting like garden.
Their is no placement in himachal pradesh university

The teaching methode of teachers was excellent. I gained so much practice and threotical knowledge form my teachers. Especially from my guide, they help me so much for completion of my degree and do ny research.

JOIN HPU Campus (pleasant /Peaceful environment) for Academics

Likes

It has a very neat and clean atmosphere for studies , because it is surrounded by trees and others natural things
Management and staff are very cooperative. Students from middle class family can get Admission because of low admission fee.
Hostel facility is also available for meritorious students.

Dislikes

Dirty Politics in college campus has negative impact on education.
Sports has no future here. There is no facilities, no Play ground and no proper coaches.
There is no exposure and skillful study for students

Course Curriculum Overview:

Facility of Biotechnology Curriculum is very Good Curriculum is ok but teaching methods need so improvement. As teaching is not updated as per advancement in technology. Timing of exams are on appropriate time i.e. on half yearly based.

Himachal Pradesh University- my second home

Likes

University has a central library which is the USP of this university. The library remains occupied all the time. Library culture is great here.
Since it is one of the biggest University in state so it is culturally diverse. You come across different cultures of different districts of Himachal Pradesh. Cultural events happens through out the session.
Being a government University the fees is very nominal and if you got a hostel here then your monthly charges will be very few. Also being in Shimla the university has the best environment and great climate except in monsoon.

Dislikes

Courses are still old traditional ones. They are unfit to provide jobs for students.
University has a poor management of exams. Conducting exam after 3month of semester.
Irregularities in results sometimes. Late results may pise some difficulty

Course Curriculum Overview:

I personally dont find curriculum effective. No relevance with day to day life. We are just fighting with theorems everyday without even knowing their application and teachers are also not delivering them with the application part. Curriculum should be more practical and applied. Teaching methods are also traditional chalk and talk method .... Every classroom is equipped with smartboard but they are just showpiece no one is using them.

I like the way teachers and practical
I like hostel and the peoples of the hostel

I didn't like the small campus of the college
There are no gym in the college or hostel

Here the environment of the study is also good.
Teachers are also friendly in nature and they help to you in study.

I wish the environment is mention every year.

I would rate the course curriculum is 10/10 . Because here all the courses are good and the study environment is also nice here. All teachers are good and friendly in nature. And the teaching method is very simple and good... Which is easily to learn. I love the process and the way of the teaching here.

Teaching teams are good in this college.
Faculty members are good and helpful to everyone.
Environment is good in this college and LAs are too good.

Dislikes

There is not much laboratory equipments are available.
There is not much area to enjoy with friends.
Laboratories are not very large, also not having all the chemicals.

The placements of our college is good. But the placements are offering less salary like they only give 10k to 25k per month in starting. The highest package is 4lpa and average is 2-3lpa. Only 10% Students getting placements.

My views on SILB

Placement Experience:

No such placements are offered for at least my course. May be for BBA students and Other life science classes. My plans after getting a degree are to qualify for the National Eligibility Test conducted by CSIR. Also want to clear State Eligibility Test. After that, I want to continue my studies in PhD.

Remarks:

My college is the best but the holidays are than working days. The one bad thing I noticed is the college website sometimes not working proper and require a improvement in it.
