For admission to the MA program, students must have completed their graduation. Candidates are admitted based on their merit.

It offers a B.Tech program in 6 streams. For admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must have completed 10+2 with 50% marks and also need to appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by HPU. The candidates may apply through online mode, and the last date to submit the online application form is 30.05.2025 for B.Tech and 20.07.2025 for B.Tech (Lateral Entry). HPU B.Tech Admission 2025

Himachal Pradesh University provide admission to the B.Tech program in 5 branches such as Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering. For admission to the B.Tech program, students must pass the 10+2 exam with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

Admission to all seats is based on a Common Entrance Test held by HPU. The university will make separate merit lists for students from Himachal Pradesh and for students from other parts of India. HPU B.Tech fee is INR 1.19 lakh for the first year.

HPU Ph.D Admission 2025

Himachal Pradesh University offers Ph.D. admission in 30 subjects like Hindi, English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, History, Political Science, Sanskrit, and more.

To apply, a student must have at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) in their Master’s degree in the subject they want to do a Ph.D and also need to appear for the entrance test conducted by HPU. To pass the entrance test, a student must score at least 50%. For SC/ST students, the passing marks are 45%. HPU Ph.D program fee is INR 9,600 - INR 14,600 for the first year.
