Nirma University B.Tech Scholarship 2024

Nirma University offers full tuition fee waivers to B.Tech applicants based on merit in JEE (Main) CRL rank and ACPC merit rank as follows:

Nirma University Scholarship 2024 for Undergraduate Students

Nirma University Scholarship for Undergraduate Students is available for needy and deserving students. For the continuation and renewal of this scholarship, students need to maintain their academic performance in terms of attendance, securing a minimum PPI of 7, and overall conduct in the previous academic year.

Nirma University Merit Scholarship

Nirma University Merit Scholarship awards students on a merit basis as follows:

• The top 5 students get INR 1,00,000 per annum.
• The following 20 students get INR 90,000 per annum.
• The following 25 students get INR 50,000 per annum.

Nirma University Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

Nirma University Merit-cum-Means Scholarship considers the family income of the students in addition to their merit records. This scholarship is available to the students as below:

• The top 25 students get INR 90,000 whose annual family income is less than INR 2,50,000.
• The next 25 students get INR 50,000 whose annual family income is not more than INR 4,00,000.
• Another 25 students get INR 25,000 whose annual family income is not more than INR 6,00,000.

Nirma University Interest-free Loan Scholarship

Nirma University Interest-free Loan Scholarship is available to 5% of the students. The student must have secured at least 70% marks in the Higher Secondary Examination. Under this scheme, the interest charges on a student loan borrowed for tuition fees are compensated by the university. 

• 100% assistance to the students having an annual family income of upto INR 3,00,000
• 50% assistance to students having an annual family income not exceeding INR 5,00,000

Nirma University Alumni Funded Scholarship

Nirma University Alumni Funded Scholarship is funded by the Nirma Institute of Technology Alumni Association (NITAA) to reward meritorious students by offering INR 30,000 each to two students of every branch per year subject to the maintenance of a minimum PPI of 7.5 and the students should not be getting any scholarship benefits from other means.

Nirma University Earn While You Learn Scholarship

Nirma University Earn While You Learn Scholarship is available to students whose annual family income is not more than INR 10,00,000 and who are not the beneficiaries of any other scholarship by the university or government.

Important Notes:

• Applications for this scheme are called at the start of an academic year.
• The students need to contribute a maximum of 10 hours per week to complete the assigned work by the university. (Work can be assigned in different sections including library, laboratory, maintenance, office administration, etc)
• The payment will be calculated on an hourly basis.
• Students should maintain a good academic record for the continuation of this scholarship.

Nirma University Scholarship 2024 for Postgraduate Students

Nirma University Scholarship for Postgraduate Students is based on merit. The students under this scholarship have to give 8 hours per week in the assigned section of the university. 

• The first nine GATE-qualified candidates are given INR 12,400 per month.
• The other remaining students are given INR 5,000 per month.

Nirma University Scholarship 2024 for Doctoral Students

Nirma University Scholarship for Doctoral Students is available for students eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for the first two years and a Senior Research Fellowship for the third year. The students under this scholarship need to devote 8 hours per week to complete the work assigned to them by the university.

Nirma University Financial Assistance

Nirma University provides various financial assistance and fellowship to its students other than scholarships. Financial assistance is provided to undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral students.

Nirma University Financial Assistance to Undergraduate Students 

A Needy Students’ Fund has been made to help the students who are not financially strong and are facing some uncertain situations in their families and are not getting any other scholarship. Such students can ask their respective directors to get financial assistance. 

Nirma University Financial Assistance to Postgraduate Students 

Financial assistance is provided to MBA students in terms of Merit/Merit-cum-Means Scholarship. The meritorious students are eligible for a 100% waiver of tuition fees and they are given Merit-cum-means scholarships based on merit of admission. The students of MTech and MPharm are also eligible for the scholarship, however, the qualifiers of GATE/GPAT are offered higher scholarships.

Nirma University Doctoral Fellowship

Nirma University Doctoral Fellowship is available to full-time PhD Research Scholars based on final merit of PhD admissions. This fellowship is provided by different institutes of Nirma University as mentioned below:

Nirma University Postdoctoral Fellowship

Nirma University Postdoctoral Fellowship is available for students who are interested in doing research under a mentor for a minimum duration of a year. The student will be given a monthly fellowship equal to the salary of an Assistant Professor at Nirma University and he/she will be eligible for an annual grant of INR 1,00,000 for the purchase of books/stationery/journals etc.

Eligibility:

• The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree from a recognized university.
• The applicant must have published at least three high-quality journals. 
• The maximum age to apply is 40 years, however, women applicants are given five years of relaxation. 
• The applicants who already have completed this fellowship assignment, are eligible to apply.
• The applicants who completed the doctoral programs at Nirma University are not eligible to apply.
