Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum here is set in such a way that every basic detail needed for future placements and admissions is covered in the syllabus. The curriculum is set to make us understand the theoretical as well as the practical implementation of the concept for real-world applications and further academic pursuits. The exams here at Nirma University prepares you for further challenges. We have class test, sessional, lab practical exam and the semester end exam over the course of semester.
Internships Opportunities
There are many in house internships that you can do over here at Nirma University. You can ask a professor and you can work under him/her. He/She will guide you through the course of your internship can will also help you with the understanding of the project.
Placement Experience
For placements, our college has a dedicated cell named III Cell which manages all the placement work. Currently, the placement season is going on an till now 5 companies have been welcomed. They are taking their interviews and all the divisions have coordinators who help with a smooth interview process. The average package per company is of about Rs. 9 lakhs and the highest package offered is of about Rs. 35 lakhs. 95% of students are being placed every year. My plan after getting the degree is to go for masters.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year-wise fees that I am paying is Rs. 1,88,000 which are the tuition fees. The seminar orientation welcome kit fees taken in the first year is Rs. 1200. The examination fees with the semester grade report, etc. is Rs. 3500. And a refundable security of Rs. 7000 is taken in the very first year. This fees is for the students who have joined through general category. For the NRI sponsered students, the fees is $6500 for one year and the fees for the NRI students is Rs. 3,40,000. The fees for TFWS students is just Rs. 1500. Yes, the fees are increasing for the next upcoming students and the approximate amount of increase every year is about 20,000. The college also provided scholarships based on ranks and also based on merit cum need.
Campus Life
There are many clubs at our university where you can join and work with them to learn something. Also there are other clubs where you can improve you extra curriculur skills too. We have a 3-storey library where you can get any book you want. Even if the desired book is not there, you can ask them and they will order it for you. There are many fests organised over the year by different departments. Sports and extracurricular activities are also promoted here.
Admission
The admission process went on very smoothly. The applications for JEE mains through admission can bi filled out on their official website. The cut-off for JEE Mains that is required in order to get admission to this course is about 97 percentile. The eligibility criteria is of minimum 75% in your boards exams. The application fees are Rs. 250.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio at Nirma University is 16:1 and it also provides great benefit as the faculty is able to give his/her attention to each and every student. The faculties here are mostly PhD holders and have a very deep knowledge in their respective fields. They make their teaching in such a way that the class becomes interactive so that it does not look a simplex communication. The faculties can be approached at anytime. You can also contact them anytime and they will be ready to help you.
