Course Curriculum Overview

4

the curriculum is more towards studies at Institute of commerce, Nirma University. the institute is very strict about its studies. I think that there is a gap between practical knowledge and theoretical knowledge in our institute.

Internships Opportunities

4

so the honours degree is a four year program at Institute of commerce University. Throughout this program, a student has to compulsorily complete two internships, one social internship with NGO and another corporate internship. Both of these internship are compulsory to be done within the four years. The social internship with anjee is to be done right after the completion of first year for a period of one month. and the corporate internship is a course of almost 6 month and the eighth semester. we need to give interviews for selection these NGOs and companies, the Institute shares the application formfor the same.

Placement Experience

3

I am not very, very sure about placements, but the institute does provide quite good placement of an average of seven lakhs per annum. if a student does not want to take placement, there are various opportunities for him/ her, he here, she can go for masters like MBA or CMA or maybe CA as well . the subject taught at the Institute are very good from Masters perspective.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees of my college, Institute of Commerce, Nirma university, is ?1,78,000 +?11,000 for exam fees and books. Scholarships are there, for top rankers , 1st rank - full amount refund 2nd rank - 75% of tution fees 3rd rank - 50% kf tution fees There is a NRI category students who pay triple fees (around ?6,00,000,) for kate application or not meeting the requirement of the yes, that is percentage higher than 81 in 12th board exams.

Campus Life

3

my experience with campus life has not been that good because I am an extreme introvert girl. It is very hard for a girl like me to take part in social activities. Earlier I was in media committee of our institute, but unfortunately, I left the committee because it was not working for me. but it is very good for somebody who knows how to talk with others and is extrovert!

Admission

I applied for various universities providing BBA or BCom degree like NMIMS, IIM ROHTAK, II M, Jammu, et cetera, but unfortunately, I could not make up to them. the reason why I chose Nirma University is because I wanted a college in Ahmedabad city itself, as this city is pretty safe. the reason why I chose Nirma University over other colleges in Ahmedabad is because of its reputation. as I told earlier the admission criteria at Institute of commerce, Nirma University is a minimum of 81% in 12th board.

Faculty

4

the faculty at our Institute is pretty good. some of them are strict, and some of them are chill but in general the faculty is good. talking about the course, all the subjects are very important for any student doing graduation in commerce.

Night Life

4

oh, the night life in Gujarat itself is very good. for the girls living in hostel ( there is less or no possibility for boys to get in campus hostels, as the priority is girl student ) the latest time to enter the hostel is 11 PM on weekdays and 11:30 PM on Saturday night but I think the night life is pretty good. there is gym facilities in college itself, so it is not a hustle for The hostelites.. some famous places in Ahmedabad, are Sabarmati riverfront, street food on CG Road, various aesthetic cafes around, and trampoline parks, of course. you can visit the Sabarmati riverfront at any time of the night , and it is totally safe

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the reasons that i got attracted to this college was the real life based curriculum. The faculties made sure to implement and involve such courses and Lab based subjects so that we are job-ready from the very first day. All the softwares used in corporate world and offices were included in our learnings semester after semester.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements probably after the 6th sem. Companies visiting including TCS, axis Bank, Hdfc bank and firms from finance sector . The highest package being 5.5 lacks and the average being 3 lacks while the median being 2.7 lacks. The total offers made in 2025 are approximately around 50 to 60. Profiles offered are marketing and accounting and maybe 50 to 70 percentage students being placed and rest being at their own. My plans after this course is to countinue further studies in the same field
