Likes

No minimum percentage of attendance was required.
The curriculum and schedule for whole semester was tentatively available before hand.
The faculties and the admin was also very Co-operative during the times of COVID

Dislikes

Offline Exams were conducted during the COVID period.
Online classes during Covid weren't arranged at the times of covid.
Admin department office timings was very less

Course Curriculum Overview

I was pursuing CA back then and therefore wanted to enroll in a college where the faculties didn't hassled much into the attendance of the students. The faculties were highly qualified. Most of them help a Phd. in their own subject of teaching. The exams were based on the semester basis and curriculum and time table for them same was communicated before hand.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There's no fixed placement provided by the college for the BCOM graduates but they surely did provide assistence if one was lookin out for jobs or internship. Also communicated to the students if there was anby Vacancy in firms or Company they knew.

Campus Life

Many fests were conducted including the Fresher's party, graduation party, Navratri fest, Halloween Day, Annual Day, Teacher's Day etc. The Library was quite equipped with journals and all the education material you might need for your exams or even for some research purpose. The classroom had seperate chairs and desks for students which were comfortable, AC classrooms and the Lift facility was also available.

Admission

10+2 was from any board was the basic criteria for the admission process in SLCC. One can find all the information about SLCC on it's offical website and also application dates could be found on GUJARAT UNIVERSITY (GU) website as SLCC is Affiliated with GU. As such there isn't any reservation benefits. The admission process was very easy and the admin department's very helpful; though would like if the admin office hours are increased.

Placement Experience:

4/5 semester students become eligible for campus placements. In placement, they get many companies like all the insurance companies. He gets a placement with an insurance company in which they need around 10 students. Out of all the companies, the highest package he was given was 180000 for the whole year. I want to start a business after college.

Placement Experience:

The placement system for the masters course is good comparatively to other colleges of state.. And the bachelor courses the college are provide the company info.and also provide the campus placement.but it can't provide guarantee for all the students ..but in overall the placement system are good.

The admission process is done by merit. Only 12th board percentage is taken into account for admission. Reservation benefit is there for reservation candidates in which there is relaxation in minimum percentage. Life at Som Lalit College of Commerce

There was no entrance exam conducted. The admission process was very simple, just created an id on the website of Gujarat University and then fill up the form and verify your documents at any nearest government college and then wait for choice filling then there will be a college allotment for total of 3 online rounds and then the University will issue a circular about remaining seats after online rounds and then one can take admission by offline rounds which are 2/3 and if someone got the allotment online/offline then reach the college and pay fees and the admission is confirmed. The person must pass his/her 12th board for admission. There are benefits of reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS etc. There is no such improvement needed but the time taken by the University for admission is very long...Read More
