HLCC Ahmedabad also known as Hargovandas Laxmichand College of Commerce, is an autonomous college established in 1936 and located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The Institute is affiliated with Gujarat University. HLCC Ahmedabad is UGC recognised and Accredited B++ by NAAC. Full-time undergraduate (UG) and graduate (PG) courses in science and commerce are available at the HLCC Ahmedabad. Merit-based admissions are followed by state-level counseling via the Gujarat Common Admission Service (GCAS) website. This is a detailed guide to the admissions process:

Online Admission Process for Students seeking admission at HLCC:

Step 1: Go to website GCAS: https://gcas.gujgov.edu.in/

Step 2: Registration Enter your name, date of birth as per HSC Marksheet, mobile number and email id, Username and Password will be provided to you on Registered Mobile number and Email. Candidates are requested to permanently save it for the entire admission process.

Step 3: Process after Initial Registration: log-in again through above link/ website by using your user ID and password. Students can fill in forms at different Universities and the colleges thereunder. To apply for this institute, select Gujarat University and in it select H L College of Commerce (Autonomous)

Step 4: Fill in particulars in the following steps.

Basic Details. Click the Button of save and next after completing particulars.

Academic Details: Fill the details as per your Marksheet, Category Certificate etc. (documents), If there will be any discrepancy in your entered data and your original Documents verification at the time of admission, it will be liable to cancel your right to admission at particular round. Click Button of save and next after completing particular

Candidates may fill in the college choice of different Universities and within each university’s different colleges as per choice from the given list on the website. Select HLCC in Gujarat University. Click Button of save and next after completing particulars

Step 5: LOCK: After verifying all details, if you are sure that no change is required in the online admission form entry, press the LOCK button and give consent to lock your particulars. No change of preference of colleges and other particulars will be made thereafter. Make online payment of mentioned fees towards Admission process fees through Payment Gateway.

Step 6: Submit and Download Application form: Before submitting the form verify the details and data you filled in your application form; allotment will be on the data you entered. If you have entered the wrong merit data, your admission will be cancelled.

Step 7: Reporting at HLCC with original documents: Student has to go to the college with all original Marksheet, category certificates (if any) and other original documents as well as copies and Admission Offer Letter of college and Registered mobile of the student.

Note: 1. Students coming from school located out of Gujarat state are mandatorily required to obtain Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from the Gujarat University through following link before registration: https://fees.gujaratuniversity.ac.in

2. If a student has made more than one registration, the registration made at the later stage shall be taken into consideration for admission and the other registration shall be treated as cancelled.

3. Provided that any student who has passed his /her 12th standard Board exam before March 2025, must upload an affidavit in the format prescribed as annexture .

HLCC Ahembdabad Admission Procedure

The admission procedure shall be online in the following manner:

1. The Admission Committee shall publish the schedule of admission process on HLCC website.

2. Considering the sheet matrix, the Admission Committee shall prepare a merit list of the eligible students who have applied, after online verification of the documents submitted.

3. The merit lists shall be displayed on the HLCC website and the college noticeboard.

4. Students on the merit list will receive a link of registration form from the college ERP.

5. As per the schedule displayed on HLCC website, students have to physically come to the college taking a print of the GCAS application form, HLCC registration form along with all documents mentioned below.

6. At the college, after verification of documents, students will be shown the available seats of different programs at HLCC. Student has to confirm the seat if he/she is willing to take admission in the program where seat is available.

7. Once the student confirms the admission, the college will lock his/her seat on GCAS portal.

8. He then has to pay prescribed fees (online mode only) to complete the admission process. NOTE: After confirmation of Admission, subjects allocated will not be changed.

Documents For Admission Process

1. The student shall submit the self-attested copies of the following documents along with the printout of the registration form, copy of allotment letter and Receipt of Token Fee paid to HLCC at the stipulated date of reporting to the college for admission process

• SSC Examination (Std. X) Mark-sheet.

• HSC Examination (Std. XII) Mark-sheet.

• School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate or Migration Certificate

1.1 Caste certificate for a student belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) issued by the authority empowered by Gujarat state government in this behalf along with valid Non – Creamy layer (NCL) certificate. 1.2 Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) issued by the authority empowered by the State Government.

1.3 Valid Non – Creamy layer (NCL) certificate of the family, issued by the authority empowered by the state government in this behalf.

1.4 SEBC students must produce a certificate of non-inclusion in creamy layer issued by the competent authority having validity for the period of 3 years from the date of issuance or as per the latest amendment made by Government of Gujarat with this regard to avail the benefit of category.

1.5 Certificate of Physical Disability, issued and duly signed by the Civil Surgeon/competent Medical Authority, in case of a Physically Handicapped student.

1.6 Certificate of Ex-Serviceman, duly issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board or by the District Sainik Welfare Officer.

1.7 A copy of certificate of In-Serviceman duly issued by the Commanding Officer of the respective unit in which he/she is serving.

1.8 A copy of Provisional Eligibility certificate for students other than Gujarat Board. (Excluding CBSE school situated in Gujarat)

Ques.How Merit list is prepared In HLCC Ahmedabad?

Ans. The merit list of the students, who have applied for admission in HLCC Ahmedabad in the manner prescribed by the Admission Committee, within the prescribed time limit and who are found eligible for admission under these rules, shall be prepared in the following manner, namely –

Course curriculum in our college is best for real life world it include all the real life chapters and topic which is help full for us to understand the corporate life and student life In teaching method the Teacher need to give us the real life example than the theoretical one The exam is of 3 hr and the difficulty level is moderate

Yearly fees structure of the college

The Yearly Fees of My college is 1lakh 16thousand And the Registraion fees is ?100 and there is no Tutuion fees I get admission on merit list so my fees Is 728 and without merit list it's 3.5 LPA for 3 years

College fest and various activities

All the cultural event and technical events take place in our college at the month of March Table tennis tournament also take place I think all the books are available in the Library and not all types of Journal is available All the classroom have Projecter and AC facility Sports and extracurricular activities are mostly done for the enjoyment of students

Faculty to student ratio is so good. The faculty members are much cooperative with students There are 2 exam are there first is Internal exam and second is External exam Internal exam is of 50 marks and external exam is of 100 marks Most of the student pass the exam but 3-4 are fail to do Course curriculum is best

I have applied to other college like GLS university. And I got confirmed admission from HL CENTER FOR PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION. I choose This college over other because, At this college we have best faculty whose experience in teaching life is for almost 10 yr and the overall ratio of student satisfied in this college is high NO, I don't get rejection from other college I don't make it there because I am getting better college with less fees structure The admission process is simple you need to fill up the registration form and eligibility criteria is student need to pass 12th with minimum 50%

The college has library,cafeteria area where all student gather and do masti The college does have hostel facilities but they provide the hostel for student at near by area Famous hangout place for friends is outside the college gate where all kind of food are available It's safe to roam outside at night for girls and boys

Likes

The environment for the college is so good
Attendance is 50% per sem so any students can attend their classes and all
Events and study both are maintained with good people and mostly it is upto student council

Dislikes

In some events security gets breached by some people
The portal for attendance is not that good

Admission:

This college has good environment good placements and active events and facilities which are not provided in other colleges in which i applied for so this college is prior to me and there are few clubs which are helpful in future of students

The things I liked is the campus and the facilities in the college.
The college has a huge number of events done through out the year
The college has huge campus and a good faculty who had done PhD in their respective field.

Dislikes

The attendance rules of the college which is 75%

This is the only college offers the banking and finance specialization in the gujarat. I applied for HA college I also got admission in that one. Bit I needed this one which I got it.I got admission in every college I wanted.all the top colleges of gujarat.The cut off of my college is 75% this year for my course

H.?L. College of Commerce, Ahmedabad (part of Ahmedabad Education Society) does offer a B.Sc. in Fintech, which is a 3-year full-time, self?financed degree affiliated with Gujarat University. There is no provision for "direct admission" bypassing merit or required steps. You can register on GCAS (Gujarat College Admission System), or you can complete HLCC's online application form.

HL College of Commerce currently offers B.Com and Bachelor of Science course at the UG level and the M.Com at the PG level.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 from the English medium or have taken up English as one of the subjects are eligible to apply for the B.Com course.
B.Com course seats will be allotted on the basis of merit in the qualifying 10+2 examination.
Candidates who have completed graduation from any stream, from the English medium, with 50% marks, are eligible to apply for the M.Com course.
M.Com course seats will be allotted on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree examination.
Candidates can apply through offline mode by obtaining the application form from the college office.
