HLCC Ahmedabad Admission Process

Full-time undergraduate (UG) and graduate (PG) courses in science and commerce are available at the HLCC Ahmedabad. Merit-based admissions are followed by state-level counseling via the Gujarat Common Admission Service (GCAS) website. This is a detailed guide to the admissions process:

Admission process of GCAS Portal:

Online Admission Process for Students seeking admission at HLCC:

Step 1: Go to website GCAS: https://gcas.gujgov.edu.in/

Step 2: Register your name, date of birth as per HSC Marksheet, mobile number and email id. Username and Password will be provided to you on Registered Mobile number and Email. Candidates are requested to permanently save it for the entire admission process.

Step 3: Process after Initial Registration: log-in again through above link/ website by using your user ID and password. Students can fill in forms at different Universities and the colleges thereunder. To apply for this institute, select Gujarat University and in it select H L College of Commerce (Autonomous)

Step 4: Fill in particulars in the following steps.

4.1. Basic Details. Click the Button of save and next after completing particulars.

4.2. Academic Details: Fill the details as per your Marksheet, Category Certificate etc. (documents), If there will be any discrepancy in your entered data and your original Documents verification at the time of admission, it will be liable to cancel your right to admission at particular round. Click Button of save and next after completing particulars

4.3. Upload Documents:

• Applicant must have the latest Photo and Signature with a maximum size of 50 K.B (JPG/JPEG Format)

. • Applicants must have the below documents with a maximum size of 200 K.B. for complete application fill-up.

* All Mark-sheets of the Qualifying Exam (If Original Mark-sheet is not available, you can upload copy of online mark-sheet)

* School Leaving Certificate (Optional)

* Caste Certificate (If Applicable)

*Non-Creamy Layer Certificate of Valid Period (If Applicable)

* Differently Abled Certificate (If Applicable)

* EWS Certificate (If Applicable) Click Button of save and next after completing particulars.

4.4 Choice – University/Program/Colleges/Medium:

Candidates may fill in the college choice of different Universities and within each university’s different colleges as per choice from the given list on the website. Select HLCC in Gujarat University. Click Button of save and next after completing particulars

Step 5:After verifying all details, if you are sure that no change is required in the online admission form entry, press the LOCK button and give consent to lock your particulars. No change of preference of colleges and other particulars will be made thereafter. Make online payment of mentioned fees towards Admission process fees through Payment Gateway.

Step 6: Submit and Download Application form.Before submitting the form verify the details and data you filled in your application form; allotment will be on the data you entered. If you have entered the wrong merit data, your admission will be cancelled.

Step 7:Student has to go to the college with all original Marksheet, category certificates (if any) and other original documents as well as copies and Admission Offer Letter of college and Registered mobile of the student.

Note: 1. Students coming from school located out of Gujarat state are mandatorily required to obtain Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from the Gujarat University through following link before registration: https://fees.gujaratuniversity.ac.in

2. If a student has made more than one registration, the registration made at the later stage shall be taken into consideration for admission and the other registration shall be treated as cancelled.

3. Provided that any student who has passed his /her 12th standard Board exam before March 2025, must upload an affidavit in the format prescribed as annexure .

Admission Procedure

The admission procedure shall be online in the following manner:

1. The Admission Committee shall publish the schedule of admission process on HLCC website.

2. Considering the sheet matrix, the Admission Committee shall prepare a merit list of the eligible students who have applied, after online verification of the documents submitted.

3. The merit lists shall be displayed on the HLCC website and the college noticeboard

4. Students on the merit list will receive a link of registration form from the college ERP.

5. As per the schedule displayed on the HLCC website, students have to physically come to the college taking a print of the GCAS application form, HLCC registration form along with all documents mentioned below.

6. At the college, after verification of documents, students will be shown the available seats of different programs at HLCC. Students have to confirm the seat if he/she is willing to take admission in the program where the seat is available.

7. Once the student confirms the admission, the college will lock his/her seat on GCAS portal.

8. He then has to pay prescribed fees (online mode only) to complete the admission process. NOTE: After confirmation of Admission, subjects allocated will not be changed.

Documents For Admission Process

1. The student shall submit the self-attested copies of the following documents along with the printout of the registration form, copy of allotment letter and Receipt of Token Fee paid to HLCC at the stipulated date of reporting to the college for admission process

• SSC Examination (Std. X) Mark-sheet.

• HSC Examination (Std. XII) Mark-sheet.

• School Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate or Migration Certificate

1.1 Caste certificate for a student belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) issued by the authority empowered by Gujarat state government in this behalf along with valid Non – Creamy layer (NCL) certificate. 1.2 Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) issued by the authority empowered by the State Government.

1.3 Valid Non – Creamy layer (NCL) certificate of the family, issued by the authority empowered by the state government in this behalf.

1.4 SEBC students must produce a certificate of non-inclusion in creamy layer issued by the competent authority having validity for the period of 3 years from the date of issuance or as per the latest amendment made by Government of Gujarat with this regard to avail the benefit of category.

1.5 Certificate of Physical Disability, issued and duly signed by the Civil Surgeon/competent Medical Authority, in case of a Physically Handicapped student.

1.6 Certificate of Ex-Serviceman, duly issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board or by the District Sainik Welfare Officer.

1.7 A copy of certificate of In-Serviceman duly issued by the Commanding Officer of the respective unit in which he/she is serving.

1.8 A copy of Provisional Eligibility certificate for students other than Gujarat Board. (Excluding CBSE school situated in Gujarat)
