Academic Requirement for ICT UG:

• The minimum academic qualification for admission to the programs is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination. The candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in 2024 are also eligible to apply for consideration of provisional admission. All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 examination or equivalent) to the Institute latest by 30 October 2024, failing which the provisional admission will stand, cancelled.
• If a candidate is found ineligible at a later date, even after admission to DA-IICT, her/his admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original testimonials/certificates/documents of the candidates. The decision of the competent authority at DA-IICT regarding eligibility of any candidate shall be final.

Selection Criteria:

Admission to the B. Tech. programs will be based on the All India Rank of Joint Entrance Examination Main, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency, Government of India. Therefore, candidates who are appearing for JEE Main can only apply for these programs.

DAIICT offers M.Des Admission on the basis of CEED/DAT Scores. You must have a bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a statutory university in the fields of Design, Science, Engineering, Technology, Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, and Performing Arts. Professional Diplomas from nationally recognized institutions such as NID, NIFT, CEPT, and Srishti School of Art and Design will also be considered for eligibility. Candidates must have 55% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying degree/examination and are required to submit the provisional Degree certificate or proof of completion of the Degree before 30 October 2022 failing which their admission is liable to cancellation. 

The fee per year for the Mtech course is INR 1.29 Lakhs at the  DAIICT, Gandhinagar. Admission to M. Tech. (ICT) with specialization SS, ML and VLSI will admit candidates through two channels from this year: GATE and NON-GATE.

• Candidates who have a valid GATE score in the disciplines of Electronics & Communication Engineering (EC), Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science and Information Technology (CS), only can apply. The ranking of candidates with GATE score of 425 or above will be on the basis of GATE score only. The candidates with GATE score less than 425 may be required to appear for an interview at DA-IICT in person/Online. Ranking of such candidates will be based on the GATE score and performance in the interview.
• Non-GATE candidates selection will be based on their qualifying degree and performance in the interview. Weightage will be as follows:
  • 40% weightage -> qualifying degree
  • 60% weightage-> interview

Candidates for this program without a valid CEED score will be selected for interview through a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) to be conducted through online proctored Test. Candidates with a valid CEED score will be selected for interview if they have qualified Part A, and have obtained a minimum of 25 marks in Part B.
