Dhirubhai Ambani University Admission 2026 is an institute-run, multi-channel process. DAU offers B.Tech, BS-MS dual degrees, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. The university handles its own online counselling and does not use JoSAA or any centralised body for most programmes.

For B.Tech, DAU selects All India candidates on JEE Main 2026 rank. Gujarat state residents may also use GUJCET scores through ACPC counselling. Around half the B.Tech intake is reserved for Gujarat state candidates.

Admission Update:
  • B.Tech (All India Category): First merit list released July 2, 2026. Fee payment window open until July 8, 2026.
  • BS-MS IT and DS-AI: Other-channel applications close July 5, 2026. DAU channel merit list out July 2, 2026.

Dhirubhai Ambani University B.Tech Admission 2026

DAU B.Tech admission 2026 is strictly merit-based on JEE Main rank. The first merit list for the All India Category was released on July 2, 2026. Shortlisted candidates complete fee payment through July 8, 2026 before the second round begins.

DAU conducts online counselling where candidates rank their programme preferences. Gujarat Category applicants using GUJCET go through ACPC counselling separately. There is no personal interview or separate DAU test for B.Tech entry.

Dhirubhai Ambani University (formerly DAIICT) Admissions: Students' Opinion

  • BTech

AI-Generated Summary based on 74 Reviews

Admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Dhirubhai Ambani University is primarily through JEE Main scores and ACPC ranks. Candidates can apply through three channels: the All India quota, the ACPC quota for local students, and the NRI quota for students with one foreign parent. Approximately 60% of students are admitted through the All India quota, 30% through ACPC, and 10% through the NRI quota.

Students considering admission typically aim for good ranks in JEE Main, with some accepted even when holding competitive but not top-tier ranks. Applicants might choose DAU over other options due to strong placements and its reputation as a top institution in Gujarat, especially for students who wish to stay close to their hometown. While IITs and some private colleges like BITS Hyderabad are preferred by many, DAU offers a balanced mix of IT, CS, and ECE in its ICT program, which appeals to students.

Costs and proximity are also significant factors influencing the decision.

Dhirubhai Ambani University (formerly DAIICT): 1 Answered Question

Is it possible to get direct admission in DAIICT gandhi nagar with 58% of marks in 12th board..?

Tithi AggrawalLives in New Delhi

It is unclear as to what direct admission means. If you mean without JEE Main, then I don’t think it’s possible. DAIICT admission is done on the basis of scores in JEE Main or GUJCET. The admission process is conducted on two levels -

  1. All India Level: JEE Main Scores
  2. Gujarat State Level: For the Gujarat category, the candidates have to apply through ACPC.

As far as the 12th percentage is concerned, I don’t think there is any fixed percentage so you might get admission with 58% marks.
