Nirma University Admission Rules 2025-
The 52% seats of intake shall be filled by Nirma University under the category of All India seats from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State).
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must have appeared in Paper – I of JEE (Main) Entrance Examination. Candidates must have passed 12th Science Examination with Physics and Mathematics with (Chemistry or Biology or Computer or Technical Vocational Subject) from a single board with the percentage of marks as to be decided by the Government of Gujarat (GoG) under the rules of admission.
Mode of Admission:
- These seats shall be filled-in by the candidates who have passed 12th Science Examination with above mentioned subjects from the school located in India (including Gujarat State) on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) in Paper – I of JEE (Main)-2023 Entrance Examination.
- Online application form is available on the website and the same should be filled with correct information (as per the instruction) and make payment by Net banking / Credit card / Debit card/UPI.
- The provisional merit list with a detailed programme of online allotment / offline counseling will be displayed on the website.
- The filled application form (online), Score card of JEE (Main)-2023 and Mark Sheet(s) of HSC (Std. 12th) examinations need not be sent to the Institute.
- In case, Letter Grade / Performance Index or Graded Point Average is awarded, instead of percentage marks/percentile in qualifying examination, equivalence certificate from school authorities shall be required on the day of counselling of admission.
- Online counseling will be carried out as per the schedule for the admission to First Year B.Tech. Programme 2023. Allotted admission seats of the candidate will be confirmed only after the successful payment of necessary fees, subject to verification of Eligibility and necessary documents.
- After conducting online allotment rounds, if required, offline (In-person) / telephonic counseling will be carried out and the schedule will put-up on the website. The candidate has to report (if required) within stipulated time as per the schedule at Institute of Technology, Nirma University, and Ahmedabad.
Preparation of Merit List
The merit list will be prepared based on the All-India Rank (CRL Rank) of Paper – I of JEE (Main) – 2023 Entrance Examination declared by NTA.
Counseling Process:
- The candidate has to fill up the branch choices, at the time of filling up the online application form.
- The candidate can modify their filled branch choices up to the last date mentioned.
- The filled branch choices will be locked automatically after the last date.
- As per the locked choices, the admission committee will carry one or more online allotment rounds for allotting the seats and declare the status of allotment on the website (https://technology.nirmauni.ac.in/admission-aid/under-graduate/b-tech/). The candidates may view their status of allotment by login to their account.
- After each online allotment, following four options will be given to the selected (on the basis of merit) candidates in their accounts and they are required to select any one out of these four options during the stipulated time duration, failing which his / her candidature is deemed to be cancelled.
- Candidates can cancel his/her admission through the online cancellation module available in his/her login only. Candidates have to submit the original fees paid receipts as well as admission order along with the print-out of cancellation request within one week to the Institute through post/courier. Failing to do so, the refund process will not start.

Nirma University Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed a master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognised university with at least 55% marks in aggregate or a 4-year bachelor’s degree programme with at least 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
Nirma University Ph.D. Selection Criteria
Candidates must appear for the Nirma University Entrance Test and the minimum cutoff required to qualify for the examination is 50% marks. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% of questions shall be subject-specific.
The candidates who qualify for the UGC-NET (Including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (Including JRF) / GATE/ GPAT with a valid score in terms of cut-off marks and duration, shall be exempted from appearing in the entrance test and deemed to be qualified for personal interview.
