IIT Gandhinagar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The students become elibigle for internships from 5th semester and for placements from 7th semester. Almost 90% of the people who apply for placements get a job. The highest package is of 72 Lakhs CTC, while the average package is 10-11 Lakhs per annum. I, however, plan to pursue higher studies (M.Tech) after completing my degree.

Good faculty. The courses are designed such that it is applicable in real-life scenario. Also in IIT Gandhinagar , the courses have one project . Classes are mostly in morning and lab hours are in afternoon . We have to complete certain amount of credits in Physical education in the choice of our sports till 2 nd year.

The placements are amazing, the average packages for each discipline is about 20 lakh per annum with highest package being 70 lakh offered by a japan based company. John jacobs, barcleys, atlaissan, Accenture japan are some of the major companies that visited in department of CS about 90 % of the students are placed for each discipline I am planning to get dual major in CSE and chemical engineering

I had found interest in the engineering field and wanted to pursue it as a career path. IIT Gandhinagar has a decent faculty: student ratio of around 1:8. All the faculty members at IIT Gandhinagar are doctors and have done their degrees from well known instutes from all over the world. This they have very indulging method of teaching. Exam are conducted regularly and it's not tough toclear the exams.

The course curriculum is the most flexible here Major courses are electives but the curriculum is hectic for faculty and is average in few courses most amount of HSS courses are there overall IIT in India

Right from the first month into your last year of academic, you will come across placements from many companies. There will be many companies like Amazon Google etc will be coming to hire you but keep in mind you need to be prepared hard for those interviews and exams. The highest package of the college is around 45 lakhs.

The college itself is very popular for its placements and the college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee plays a crucial role in the placement process. To take part in the college placement we have to register our names with the college placement committee and the committee makes sure that everyone is placed by guiding us through every round of placement. The highest package for our batch was around 35 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Few of my batchmates received pre-placement offers during the internship program.

The candidates of IIT-Gandhinagar were majorly hired for roles like application programmer, mobile app developer, web developer, video game programmer, SFX, and post-production and systems analyst. Candidates having previous internship experience were preferred by the companies. Also, candidates involved in live projects and coding boot camps had an edge over freshers. The companies visiting the campus were KPIT(Germany), Goldman Sachs, ITC, IOCL, HPL, and ISRO. The highest package offered was 18LPA while the average package stands at 12LPA. Since IIT Gandhinagar is a new branch, the package offered is a bit lower compared to other IITs. However, it is expected to get higher in the upcoming years.

From 7 semester students become eligible for campus placements. Very big companies like Amazon , TCS , Google and many more visit IIT Gandhinagar and there are a lot of offers provided by them... Highest package was of approximately 3 crores per annum... Maximum students that is more than 90% students get placement every year. I will also apply for a placement to get a job .

It is trying too hard to be a university rather than focusing on engineering.
