I am confused amongst IIIT Delhi, NSIT, and DTU for CSE. What are some suggestions?

All three colleges namely, IIIT Delhi, NSIT, and DTU are excellent options for CSE. However, you might want to consider the following points before making the final decision Campus life: In terms of campus life, the DTU is the best option followed by NSUT and IIIT Delhi. DTU offers a very laid-back cap pledge life experience with a minimal workload and a lot of time to pursue your hobbies. There aren’t many restrictions on attendance also. Curriculum: IIIT Delhi is a clear winner in terms of curriculum as it has no extra subjects in the first year. Students are taught coding languages and related assignments from day one and thus prepare students better than their counterparts. Research: IIIT Delhi is a research-oriented institute and has better research facilities, labs, and resources. DTU and NSUT have a similar research culture. Infrastructure: IIIT Delhi is a newly established college so has modern infrastructure, although the campus is small. DTU and NSUT have larger campuses and better sports facilities. Fees: IIIT Delhi charges extremely high fees around INR 4.62 Lakhs (1st Year Fees) which is almost double the fees charged by DTU INR 2.19 Lakhs (1st Year Fees) So choose wisely based on your priorities!

Is IIIT Delhi really good for CSE?

Yes, IIIT Delhi is an amazing choice for CSE. Here are some highlights of the institute Course and Curriculum: IIIT Delhi has a well-updated curriculum that is delivered through modern pedagogy. Faculty: IIIT Delhi has a highly talented and experienced faculty pool comprising both Indian and foreign teachers. Most professors are Ph.D. holders. Placements: IIIT Delhi has been recording excellent placement statistics over the past few years. This year the institute recorded 96.58% placements with the highest package standing at INR 51.03 LPA and the average package standing at INR 23.72 LPA. Some of the top recruiters included Qualcomm, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, MathWorks, Dell, Synopsys, Adobe, IBM, Accenture, Complex Systems Laboratory, etc. Additionally, the campus has 24/7 Wi-Fi access and every student is given a unique email ID here.

Which is better: IT from NSIT, IT from DTU, or CSE from IIIT Delhi?

IT from NSIT is the best option among these. The student crowd is brilliant. It has a small batch size compared to DTU. So, you will face less competition. NSIT has an amazing pool of faculties. You will get to learn from excellent faculty members like Sangeeta Sabharwal and MPS Bhatia. NSIT IT placements are better than DTU and IIIT D. DTU has a better placement record for core branches. While NSIT offers better placements opportunities to CS and IT students. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC for IT at NSIT was INR 6 LPA. Companies like Facebook, Google hire students from NSIT from their US offices. Major consulting and non-tech companies like Bain, BCG, ZS Associates, etc. also visit the campus placements. IIIT Delhi has an excellent research culture and professors from top universities like Carnegie Mellon. So, if you are interested in research, you should choose IIIT D. Overall IT from NSIT is the best option in terms of academics and placements.

IIT Patna or IIIT Delhi, which is better for CSE?

IIIT Delhi is better for CSE. It is an excellent option for CSE. The department has an excellent faculty base. IIIT Delhi has an active coding culture. If you are interested in coding, you will love being on campus. The institute has an impressive placement record. IIIT Delhi placements 2022 concluded with an average package of INR 19.76 LPA.

Which is better to join DTU/NSIT/IIITD or new IITs or BITS Goa/Hyd Dual for CSE?

I won’t recommend you choose a dual program from BITS. For CSE, I would highly recommend IIIT Delhi. It has great research opportunities. It does not have the same branch value as NSUT Delhi/ DTU, but its growth rate is high. It will soon become a brand like IIIT Hyderabad. Compared to the new IITs, IIITD has a locational advantage because it is situated in the national capital. BITS dual is a decent choice, but only if you get a CS. It depends on your performance in the first year. The odds of getting a CS are less than 20% which is pretty low, and the cutoffs keep getting higher each year. As far as the ‘BITS’ tag is concerned, it's really not that important in reality. For the new IITs, go only if you are getting a CS over there. Do not rely on branch change. Also, avoid going to those located in small/ secluded towns because then you won’t get a lot of exposure. Also, do consider the faculty and infrastructure if you plan to go to a new IIT. My order of preference for CSE is IIITD > NSUT Delhi/DTU > BITS Goa/Hyderabad > IIT. Thus, for a CSE, I would suggest you to choose either IIITD or NSUT Delhi/DTU.

How much should I get in 12th and the JEE Mains to get a BTech CSE at IIIT Delhi?

IIIT Delhi follows a scheme of bonus marks. These marks are awarded for excellence in academics, sports, olympiads, etc. The top 1% performers in the 12th CBSE boards are awarded bonus scores. To apply for bonus marks through academics, you must be a Delhi candidate. Without bonus marks, only your JEE Mains rank is considered. Here are the ranks for CSE at IIIT Delhi: With 6 bonus marks, 9-10k rank. With 10 bonus marks, 13-14k rank. With no bonus marks, 5-6k rank. A bonus percentile of 2/3.5 will be directly added to your JEE Mains percentile. Eligibility for B.Tech at IIIT Delhi is- A minimum of 80 marks in Maths. 80% in best 5 (including PCM) in 12th boards. These are the requirements to get a B.Tech CSE at IIIT Delhi.

What is difference between CSE and csd coures at IIIT Delhi?

If you have the option of choosing between a CSE and CSD course at IIIT Delhi, I will suggest you go for CSE. The only difference in these branches is the additional MS component which can be taken later if you want through a branch change. CSD is a dual degree, meaning you will be awarded two degrees, a B.Tech in CSE and an MS by Research in CSE. It’s a research-oriented course wherein you will have to write research papers and an MS thesis. Students struggle to get their research papers published so the duration of the course isn’t fixed. Some might take more than 5 years to complete this program depending Both programs are similar in terms of the job opportunities they offer and their curriculum. From the third year, CSD students have to take up an extra project every semester 3rd year onwards. Even a CSE student can also opt for a B.Tech (Hons.) in CSE degree once he has completed two years of his course. He will be required to complete extra projects similar to the Dual Degree student.

What should I take a CSE at IIITD or a CSE at IIT Ropar or IIT Dhanbad?

IIT institutions will always have a better tag in terms of reputation and value of degree when it comes to choosing between any other universities. Although IIT Patna and IIT Dhanbad are fairly new branches of IIT, the services and quality of education is rapidly improving and has become almost equivalent to some of the old IIT institutes.Faculty at IIITD is much better than the IITs but one of my friends opted for IIT Patna seeing the ‘IIT’ tag. Which is better, CSE or CSAI in IIIT Delhi?

IIIT Delhi offers both electives and mandatory courses. Students are at freedom to make a choice in case of electives while there is no such choice in mandatory courses. Now, the best part of the CSE branch at IIIT Delhi is that it has the maximum elective slots of any other branch. So, students get to choose electives from a wide range of courses like AI Systems Security Design Electronics Economics CSE will offer more academic flexibility than CSAI. CSAI will have some mandatory AI electives which might be beneficial if you are interested in the field. Also, you won’t have to study useless courses and can focus on AI. However, you will be restricted to the AI field, unlike CSE which gives you enough flexibility to pursue the field of your choice. Unless you are certain of your interest in AI, it’s best to choose CSE.

Which should my daughter choose, a CSE from IGDTUW or a ECE from NSIT/DTU/IIIT Delhi?

The choice between CSE from IGDTUW and ECE from NSIT/DTU/IIIT depends on the goals of your daughter. If she is planning to pursue higher studies like MS or a Ph.D., then IIIT Delhi is a decent choice as it’s a research-oriented college. But if she is looking for a job, then IIIT Delhi will offer limited opportunities. This is because getting a job in Core ECE companies like Western Digital and Qualcomm is not easy, as these companies prioritize master students. A few talented students do get placed in Software firms. In IIIT Delhi first year is the same for both CSE and ECE during which the students are taught Introduction to Programming, System Management, Computer Organisation, Data Structure, and Digital Circuits. Your chances of placement also depend on your CGPA which should be preferably above 7. IIIT Delhi offers the flexibility to choose the CSE courses, provided that you complete the minimum credits requirement in the last two years of B.Tech for the degree. In all, I feel, that NSIT and DTU will offer great job opportunities because of their brand name but IIIT Delhi will teach you new things and also offer research opportunities So it’s best to go for NSIT or DTU or IIIT Delhi. Choose wisely.

college fee of this college is on a upper scale. Total 4 years fees is approx 20,00,000 Rs 20 lakhs. 1 year fee lies around 4,50,000 which increases every year. per semester fee is around 2,50,000. hostel fee is around 45,000 per semester.

Course is updated to the needs of industry.

College tuition fee is much higher than the collages that are providing same benefits.

We have a tuition fee of Rs. 500000 per year and there are scholarship or fee waiver for students that are merit and women under Women STEM programs and are sponsored by certain groups. And we have to pay hostel fees too and other expenses are here that are also high.

IIIT Delhi - The truth nothing else

the curriculum is really hard and not easy to manage

Per semester i pay about 2.5 lakhs so yearly i pay about 5 lakhs. International students pay a lot more and DASA(International students with indian origin) pay a lot too. There are a lot of scholarships available, like UNIQLO, the one where college reimburses some ammount when a studen purchases a laptop.

Reality of IIIT Delhi (is it really a hell hole)

College is getting too expensive even though it's goverment funded

4.5 lakh for first year 4.75 lakh for 2nd year 5 lakh for 3rd year 5.3 lakh for 4th year The few stays same for all students, there isn't any scholarship I know of but there are many schemes for example Uniqlo sponsors many students university charges and give them internship and placement opportunity and other schemes by college as well.

IIITD - pros and cons

Fees structure hike is too much in this college and every year there is 10% increase in fees , but also you can avail for scholarship and can get education loan without collateral upto 20 lakh for the whole course. The scholarship can be availed only to Sc/St students , for lower income class students you can also get scholarship provided by the college but it's been 2 years that they haven't opened the portal due to delay of merit cum means scholarship, so check all information about scholarship before coming to this college if your family income is low.

Fees is quite high as compared to other cllgs. I didnt get any scholarship. But there are various programs available for those having weak economic conditions in family or those who have scored well in boards or done goodnin kvpy or ntse exams

IIITD student review

Fees for international students are usually 12 lakhs per year. For JEE/Indian students it's usually 4-4.5 lakhs per year without any scholarship. For international students, you need to get above 8.5 CGPA to maintain the scholarship that you got.

Best college through jee mains

The fees of this college are too high which is about 25 lakh for 4 years and from 2 to 3 years government is not launching MCM scholarships because of that college has not launched any scholarships some small scholarships are coming and given to only 2-3 students.

True review of the IIIT Delhi

Like the main issue because of which many students refuses to choose IIIT is its fee, for every year we have to pay around 4 lakhs of tuition fee. There are many scholarships for the students, mainly IIIT Delhi scholarship and Govt. of Delhi scholarship
