- Bad grading at the end of the exams. Proff gives C grade on avg.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Yearly fees depends diffferntly on different categories like a general or OBC guy would pay 250000 a year including hostel mess fees. If they have a income between 1 to 5 lpa then the tuition fees will become 66% of 1 lac a semester and sc/st doesnt have to pay tuition fees and have to pay all other fees.
Likes
- The mentorship quality was good. We get to have mentors from our department which help us guide our college journey.
- The quality of placements is really good which is around 20+LPA and grabbing such a package is quite easy.
Dislikes
- The grading system is a bit absurd. it's completely in the hands of profs. It's entirely his will to give good grades or bad ones.
- It's a highly stressful environment for people in non circuital branches. Managing academics is one of the primary goals over here.
Fees and Financial Aid:
There a lot of scholarships available. You can check them on the website itself. Some are provided by the alumni itself. The tution fees is around 1 lakh and it's a government college. There is an SBI branch where you can avail education loans at low interest.

- The high quality education and the opportunity to learn from some of the best professors in the country
- So many extracurricular activities like a wide range of clubs, society and so many events including cultural fest like Rendezvous
Dislikes
- The Curriculum, Particularly the courses taught in the first year
- Difficulty in maintaining a healthy work life balance due to academic and extracurricular commitments
Fees and Financial Aid:
Yes, there's an increase in the tuition fees regularly like in a year or 2. The rate of hike depends on how time the fee is increased if the fee is increased last then the rate of hike is very low. The total expenditure if u are doing B-Tech and residing in a hostel costs you upto 14-15 lakh for the complete course. There are so many scholarships given to a student on the basis of their JEE advanced rank and their current CGPA. I have not undertaken any campus employment yet. but yes, I am planning for it. and yes there's also a good stipend amount for the M-Tech and research students.

- College has great students which creates good environment
- College has great facilities for sports and other social events.
Dislikes
- There was a lack of diversity in the campus
- Hostel rooms were very small so it was difficult to study there all day
Fees and Financial Aid:
As IIT Delhi is a government college so there were numerous scholorships available for the students. There was even provision for Student loan provided by the SBI in campus. Campus also provided good job opportunities.

- The Infrastructure and obviously the prestige associated
- The culture of Hostels and seniors, the opportunities available all across
Dislikes
- The overall pressure and the competition which often becomes toxic
- The Mess food should be better, it's quite bad most of the times and the overall menu is also just not fine

Fee has not been increased as such, also scholarships are available depending on family income, like for income less than a lakh per annum, tuition fee reduces to zero, between 1-5 lakh per annum it's 1/3 , and above 5 lakh it's full. But overall the fee is fine given the facilities like the labs the IITs provide, there are also various scholarships available

- Things that I liked in campus is various modern or innovative building
- The gardens and yoga classes I liked very much .
Dislikes
- Academic schedule is very hectic and load is also there
- Somes courses are very stress full and very time consuming

The Tution fees increase year by year at IIT Delhi the complete cost of btech is nearly 10 to 12 lakhs which includes tution fees, semester fees, hostel fees, etc. There are so many scholarships based on family income

- I like the infrastructure here, the main buildings here are excellent with good facilities. With good Professors and teachers. In their respective courses
- I like the secured environment here. And the students. Who are Very intelligent and have many skills so that I can learn many things from them. And do good in my future.
Dislikes
- The main thing here I dislike is that the behavior of some of professors, not all, but some professors. Who are not friendly with the students. and the teaching method of some professors. are not that way so that we can understand in a better manner.
- In food menu. Some days the food will be good, but for some days the food is not that much good, not that much prepared well. we the students face some difficulty. Because of not providing good food. Sometimes.
Fees and Financial Aid:
While coming to the tuition fee increase policy, so I can rate less in these such hikes because presently the tuition fees is very high. For general category students they have per semester is ?1,00,000. If your income is below 5, then the tuition fees around we have to pay 33% that is 33,000. And for the availability of scholarships which had to be maintained to avail scholarship like there are many type of scholarships Like Suresh chandra memorial test scholarship in which first year Btech student will get scholarship purely on merit base and his family income should be below 4.5 lakhs per annum and renewal of the scholarship is to maintaining SGPA of 6. Second scholarship is UPMA Memorial scholarship. In which we can get 25,000 per annum. For which awardee parent income should be below 4.5 lakhs per annum renewal subject to maintaining SGPA of 6 and there are many scholarships such as MSR scholorship which student get 100000 pa having 5-9 L akh Income.I have not taken jobs for now

- Academic work load is a bit on the higher side, campus is small.

Fee structure is well detailed. Fee is a little high for the economically weak sections of our society but scholarships are also provided for deserving students. EWS students are given further discounts in the fee.

- Good exposure in different fields experts are there to guide us .
- Campus Life is so good a big campus with different things to do other than studies.
Dislikes
- Somethings academics are bit harder and is tough to clear exam.
- Some rules are so strict and consequences are also harsh.

Fees is taken according to facilities provided like for exams , library, tution fees and all other expenses. Hostel fees is also on basis of different facilities like gym, hostel library,mess,tv room, gaming room and all such other facilities. No scolership or internship is provided yet.

- Number of clubs it is exciting me for exploring myslef
Dislikes
- I dislike its classes all over day. It should be reduce upto 2 pm.
- Hostel is about 1km from the academic and liberary.

The fee is not low it is high for middle-class families. The tuition fee per semester is around 1lakh and the other charges also have it's significant such as mess etc. Until my college life, I did not get such type of scholarship.

How do I choose between IIT Delhi engineering physics, civil, production & industrial, and chemical engineering?
I will restrict my answer to Engineering Physics and Chemicals only as I know the same only.
- The major criterion followed at IIT Delhi by all the branches is a well-maintained CG. To secure good placements one has to constantly score a good CG throughout the program.
- During your admission, the department does not play any role but your 85 percent constraint on minimum possible strength does.
- Engineering Physics is a unique branch for those highly passionate about Physics and want to pursue higher studies in the same
- To secure core jobs, one has to move to MTech in Engineering Physics from BTech in Engineering Physics.
- For Chemical Engineering students, BTech is more than enough to secure decent packages and great research opportunities outside India.
- Consultancy and Analytics jobs are offered equally to students of all the departments
- Engineering Physics graduates usually take up consultancy or IT jobs
- Chemical Engineering is the most laid-back department of IIT Delhi with very flexible academics thus making it easy to maintain a decent CG throughout.
I wouldn’t suggest anyone go for Engineering Physics if they have no intention of pursuing it later. Instead, look for other options in BTech and explore your interests.

Both IIT Delhi and IIT Ropar are highly reputable institutes in India, and both have strong programs in production industrial engineering and computer science engineering, respectively. However, if I were in your place, I would have chosen IIT Delhi Production and Industrial Engineering. Here are some strong points supporting my stance
- Location : Located in the capital city, IIT Delhi offers great access to coaching institutes for preparation for IAS, IES, GATE, or any other competitive exams. This won’t be possible at IIT Ropar.
- Reputation: IIT Delhi's Overall ranking by NIRF is 3 out of 200 colleges in India in 2023 while that of IIT Ropar is 33 out of 200 colleges in India in 2023.
- Reputation: IIT Delhi is not just an institute it’s a brand that every recruiter and student is aware of.
- Curriculum: IIT Delhi Production and Industrial Engineering has courses similar to Mechanical students so the job opportunities are also similar. Additionally, you can learn some management skills through subjects like industrial engineering subjects Quality control, Operations research, Production planning, and control, etc
- Placements: IIT Delhi has a track record of excellent placements way better than IIT Ropar. It can further be understood through the table below
