Course Curriculum Overview

4

In the course currriculumn we are taught to become ready for the real world applications. During 1st year we have courses like mcp100 and mcp 101 in which we learn manual methods of enginnering drawing although we have autocad which is told to us but if you know manual way of drawing than it means you know the base .On the other hand in mcp 101 we are learning both manual weilding methods as well as robotic wielding method ,3d printing,Fitting and sheet metal. In first year you are going to have taste of all departments that makes you more better to understand what you are loving.Later in my department institute offers us to visit the industry where products are actullay made and designed .I think the frequency of exam is well adjusted with academic calender . I thought they need to turn more towards the modern technique rather than focusing on the ancient one .

Internships Opportunities

3

College offers internship within the acdemic area like you can become TA (Teaching assistant) or work in any research under the guidance of professor during your 3rd year you will get a various internship from ocs team of IIT delhi. As i Know of my Branch nescafe from harayana had given intern opportunity to students to get inhand experience as well also they pay them well.

Placement Experience

4

From seventh sem you are eligible to sit for the ppos and on campus placement session.Over 1200 offers are made this year company like goldmansachs , bcg , google , microsoft , samsung , amazon , flipkart and tata 1mg many more visited this year . the highest package stood at 3 cr and lowest is around 10 lpa for b.tech . Around more than 80% percents of the students had received the jobs.I would like to pursue MBA after completing the degree here.

Fees and Financial Aid

The actual fees of iit delhi for candidate having parental income greater than 5 lakh is 2,00,000 per year as tution fee along with 89,200 if u take a hostel accomodation but for the candidate having parental income less than 5 lakh only need to pay 66,000 per year as tution fee along with 89,200 as a fee for hostel accomodation .And also students minority section get the scholarship of 1,000 rupee every month in their bank accounts.Candidate having income less than 1 lakh need to pay 0 tution fee and 89,200 for hostel accomodation. If you score well in your first year you can also avail merit cun scholarship.I think fees is bit increased for general and obc candidates having parental income greater than 5 lakh.but here you can also claim education loan with zero percent interest rate.

Campus Life

4

Rendezvous is the asia largest cult fest which held in the month of october in this fest lot of competition takes place , stalls are decorated in biotech lawn and people from different university visits the campus and ofcourse pronites are the real icebreakers.secondly tryst is a technical fest which held in the month of march .A wide range of books research papers, encyclopedia across the globe is present in iit delhi library .Classrooms are equipped with 3 projectors and black boards and fully air conditioned.A large variety of sports is going to offer you in the campus you might get confused what should i play .Also we have inter iit competition were people had a lot fun .NSS is a society which aims for the welfare of the people of remote areas by providing them education also they took survey of rural areas.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facility is not good here in first and second year you need to share room with two or three person it depends on your luck. There is no air conditioned hostel available for the B.tech candidates .the meal served in the hostel is healthy but sometimes its taste is too bad like other hostel. You need to apply for the hostel during the seat allotment process in Josaa. And in most of the time you will easily get accomodated to any of the 12 hostel of IIT Delhi. You can rent a room in jiasarai , katwaraisarai and kalusarai these are place near the campus in Hauz khas

Admission

First of all you need to clear JEE ADVANCE to get admission in any of 23 iits .I choose iit delhi because its diversity and co curricular actitvities it offered. You will different clubs and socitites here which will improve your personality and also you will learn a lot .seniors and juniors mostly get to know each other during various club events .Apart from that one of the main reason is that IIT delhi every year helds a cultutral fest Rendezvous which is solely managed by the students themselves which ultimately make you to handle things which all are part of active learning .

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is good .You can reach out to faculty members in the office time if you want to they are cooperative on tutoring you.You can also email them your problem if you want .And for every course we have tutorials were for 30 students you will have one tutor which act actually as a friend if he is not professor .Also you can all doubts of the class in tutorial session you still find difficulty you can talk to your mentor assigned to you .I like Biplab Basak he taught us Mtl 100 course in spring semester he is such a kind hearted person also Abhishek dixit he taught us ell 100 in spring semester with all of its efforts . During first sem i find all the peofessor here good and kind. You will have minor and major in every semester they are easy if you study atleast 14 days before your exam .But as the grading is relative you may find it difficult .Only a few students fail to clear the exam because they are too much indulge in other activities but if they foccused a little only on the lecture notes they may be able to pass.I think the exams here are relevant to the course curriculum because you will see the question is well designed to access your knowledge on the subject.

Night Life

4

You can go the gym which is open till 12 am midnight in SAC .We have holistics were a large people come to taste different variety of foods along with friend .Also there is Shadab cafe near Zanskar hostel were you can get a bunch of chicken rolls .Outside the campus you can hangout to xerodegree in SDA market of Hauz khas .We have a nagori tea point in jiasarai where the taste of tea is awesome .My hostel is Shivalik the oldest one and fully comprised of nerds .You can roam delhi throughout the night there is no timing to get in or out at night.South delhi is safe for you to roam In my beginning day we cycle to India gate and then also we go to Connaught place at 1 am .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
