DTU Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From the starting of the 7th semester, students become eligible for the placements. The companies visited in dtu for 2020 21 sessions were 311. The offers made were around 1500 among 1925 students of 2017- 21 batch. The percentage of students getting placements depends on the branch which you would be pursuing. If you are from coe,it,se,mce , then it won't create much problem if u want to go to tech/coding field. Now for ece and ee , the remaining circuital branches ece has an edge over ee. But as the coding culture is way better than many colleges. If you are from a circuital branch, then u are eligible to sit in placements in maximum companies.

Campus placement is quite fine. As usual computer science branch got always the highest no. of offers. But for the core branches, number of offers is less but not so much less that one cannot get into it. Big known companies also came to DTU like Qualcomm, microsoft, google, facebook, some psu's and many more.

Only 4th-year students are eligible for college placements. Almost all the big giants of the tech industry visit DTU like Google, Microsoft, Atlassian, Paytm, Uber, Facebook, Amazon, etc and offer good placements to a number of students. In 2020 average CTC was 12.27 LPA. The highest package was 1.07 crores by Amazon. 150+ students got a package of 20+ LPA and 450+ students got a package between 10-20 LPA. 1545 offers were given to companies in 2020.

7th semester onwards the company starts coming and students starts getting placed. Few of the Companies visited are GOOGLE, AMAZON, MICROSOFT, FLIPKART, ZOMATO, PAYTM etc. Placement statistics are comparable to old IITs.

Students are eligible for campus placements only in the fourth year. DTU offers very good opportunities to avail these placements .almost 1500 students getting placed the previous year. There are very less students not getting a placement in the college.

DTU is very reputed college along the lines of IITs.Here you get many opportunities in every field to get placed whether it is tech,non tech or core.You get more exposure and placement are good as compared to NITs.In DTU everything is good except the high no. of students.

Campus placements take place at end of the 3rd year. Very huge companies visit the campus such as amazon , microsoft, Facebook, etc. the offers made are also a lot in number and you can get the exact stats easily online. The highest pkg offered till date is 1.25 crore p.a. To a soffware eng student. In our branch about 50 percent of the students get placed.

College placements are good for Tech students (Amazon, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Facebook, Bloomberg), but for core, students placements is around 40%. Companies like reliance and IOCL come for placement in chemical engineering. A chem eng student can prepare for GATE and get placed in a PSU.

In the third year, companies do come to get interns from here, they also do give a very decent stipend too. Some people get a PPO after internship and they get placed in that company and most do get their placement in 4th year. Almost all big brands and companies come for placements each year, although the placements are higher in the technical branches as compared to the core branches.
