Remarks

The admission is done by JAC counseling, which is joint counseling of DTU, NSUT, IIIT Delhi, and IGDTUW based on JEE Mains scores. The counseling process is completely online.85 % of seats are reserved for Delhi students, there are no age criteria but the cutoff for computer-based courses is very high and even more so for outside Delhi students, such as myself. There are also spot rounds conducted for vacant seats after the initial counseling,in counseling u will have to rank courses and college based on your preference in descending order( according to your interests e.g. CS NSUT on top, then CS DTU and so on ), then if you are allowed any course from the preference list you made. You will have options to Freeze (lock that seat and opt-out of counseling), Float(save that seat but continue in next round counseling in hopes to get better course), Drop from counseling if u do not wish to pay the fees to secure your seat. Spot round is conducted the same way, and large shifts in cutoff is expected.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Exams in an online semester are conducted very frequently with 3 CT( 15 marks each best 2 out of 3 considered)and 2 ST (10 marks, best out of the 2 is considered)for every subject as end term grading, and innovative projects for Midterm grading. You could end up with an exam every 2 weeks. They are mostly conducted separately for each class by their subject teacher and hence are easy or tough depending on your teacher. If the exam is in MCQ format, although it may be tough or easy depending on your teacher it is convenient to attempt, However, written examinations are tedious and students have to race against the clock to submit PDFs on Google classroom, however, most teachers agree to increase time for submission and even accept pdf on Whatsapp/email if you face technical difficulty. Exams are not proctored by software but you will most probably be asked to keep your webcam on, at Google meet.

Internships Opportunities

4

College students receive plenty of opportunities for on-campus and off-campus internships. Many students secure internships in big companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, DRDO with the highest stipend of 1 lack rupees. The big stipends are mostly for students with a tech profile which may not necessarily demand them to be cs or IT students. It completely depends on the companies and your skillset and ability to pursue these opportunities. The college mandatory requires you to have an internship in your third year and hence you must develop a relevant skill set and communication skills in your previous year to secure a nice internship.

Placement Experience

4

The college provides good on-campus placement opportunities and also internship opportunities are provided in 3 rd years. The college has a good placement record with students grabbing packages of 1 crore + in computer and software courses. average package has increased every year and is currently above 11 lack per annum. Companies like Google, Facebook, and many other big companies visit the college. Deloitte, mckinsey, and other consultancy firms also visit the college. The college also sees mass recruiters for students who may not get placed with better companies. The highest package in my course is 27 lack for a core job and the placement record is good. I wish to secure a job in consulting or investment banks and later pursue MBA after a few years to move forward in my career.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides scholarships to Economically weaker students, whose parents income should not be more than 4.5 lack per year, you would be required to apply for the scholarship on the DTU website where the notice for same will arrive, then you would be interviewed in college along with a guardian, you will have to present electricity bill for specific months, Mobile Bill, declare vehicles owned by family, rent or house tax, bank statement of last 6 months. Scholarship amounts to 100%,50% and 25%. Only limited scholarships area available, you may not get 1 after your interview. University runs a University internship program with internships in data analysis, documentation, event management etc. With a stipend of 2500 per month and also the newly launched lab on wheel program where you travel to localities with underprivileged students and mentor them with a stipend of 2500 and 100 every time you travel.

Campus Life

4.5

Engines The annual fest is usually conducted in the month of February and is the biggest fest of North India. the library has ample of books, the ac building is 3 floors tall and has charging ports at every table. The college also conducts an annual sports fest and has a large ground and also indoor sports with many types of equipment, the gym However is not up to the mark. One of the best things about DTU is the society's and clubs, many of which are active, well connected, and provide plenty of opportunities to their students for personal development.DTU has clubs, societies, and teams for almost anything you can imagine. With societies to develop investing, consulting, art and debating and coding skills to society's doing social work, College fests, clubs for cosmology, UPSC, and more. With F1, Ariel, and underwater drones, and robotics teams students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. Students can form new societies if they find the need, the management is very supportive in this respect.

Other Applied Colleges

IIIT Bhopal | B-Tech ECE

I didn't opt for this college as it is a newly established institute and is far away from my home

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements
