Remarks

I had also applied for Netaji subash institute of technology and iitd but I not got selected in iitd but I had a chance for nsit but I did not go for nsit because in mechanical engineering dtu can provide more exposure because in dtu faculty and industry exposure is better. It comes in 7th no in Asia for mechanical engineering. I availed ews quota for admission. We have to enroll on jac website and we have to prioritize our preferences. and then we have to pay a particular amount once anyone got a seat and then if there will be an upgrade in branch then it will display in jac website and for getting a seat in the mechanics branch one should have more than 94%. Minimum in the general category. This year even a spot round was held online because of covid.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because I was interested in mechanical engineering and dtu provides better faculty for mechanical engineering. There are almost 7 teachers per batch. Some of the faculty members are Ph.D. graduates and some are pursuing Ph.D. teacher conducts our exams monthly. We have to give 3 minor tests in which best 2 gets considered and 2 surprise tests in which the best 1 gets considered.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities are very less in the core even in tech sectors internship opportunities are less some roles offered by companies are junior software developer, project manager. Software developer, companies provide stipend from 10000 to 50000 monthly.

Placement Experience

3

Placement of dtu is at another level. Despite not being iit placement of dtu is not less than iit. As compared to non-tech and core, placement in tech companies are better, almost 300 top tech companies visit in the campus for hiring student. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, google, sprinkler almost companies visit college according to stat fo 2019. 100 students of dtu got more than 20 lakh per annum placement and 400 got in the range of 10 lakh to 20 lakh. The average package in tech lies around 15 lakh and in the core, it lies in a range of 7-8 lakh per annum, so almost dtu offers 80 % placement. I will like to be a software engineer after my college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees of our college are approx 2 lakh. In first year its 1,90,000 in 2nd year it increases to 2,06,000 and to 2,20,000 to 2,32,000 approx in 3 rd and 4th year respectively . There are some scholarships for students who are financially week one is e district in which three types of fees concesion dependent on annual familyl income. I am in my second year so I did not get any internship yet so no stipend.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is amazing, there are some fest of our college which are very famous some fest like engifest are one of the best fests in Delhi and there are so many tech fests which get organized by different societies. The library is ok but not good because all books are not present in the library and we can issue only old books means old version and not the recent version. Obviously its dtu so campus life is no less than iit. Our campus size is 154 acre and there are everything in the campus which makes it a very beautiful. Toilets are well maintained, there are two oats in our college one is bigger and the second is comparatively smaller. The sports complex of dtu is outstanding, almost all outdoor games are available and societies are well organized and very helpful.

Other Applied Colleges

netaji subash institute of technology | mechanical

mechanical branch of dtu is far better than of nsut in national level in terms of all aspects

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
