Panjab University Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I choose this course due to better job opportunities and my interest in this particular field. The student-to-faculty ratio is good.There are 2 sections made for our batch so that it easy for teachers. All faculties are PhDs with a few pursuing their PhDs. There are 2 mid terms in a semester and one majors.

After 6 sem one is eligible to sit in a placement drive conducted by the University. And the eligibility to sit in the drive is that one shouldn't have any compartment till that sem. The like of airtel, Infosys and etc visit the college for intake and offers starts from 3.5lakh to 10 lakh depending upon the company. The average package offered is 3.5 lakh and highest is 11lakh. Almost 90% of the got placed last year in well renowned companies.

The placement program starts from 7 semesters, the placement record is very satisfactory for CSE/IT/ECE student, about 90+ percent of students are placed with decent packages. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, TCS, Infosys (Mass Recruiting), Eicher Motors, TATA, Mahindra and Mahindra, etc, are comes in the college. For mech/biotechnology/EEE placement record less than 40%. The percentage varies from company to company but the minimum is 6.5 CGPA. The average package is 6.5 lakh per annum. The highest package is 42 lakh per annum. From the last year 2020. I have gained all industrial knowledge and now I am just approving myself for the best company.

For IT/ CSE most of the students get placed and the average package is around 5.5 LPA. For other branches, the placement is not that great For IT/CSE, 70 percent of students get placed Major Companies : Delloite, ZS, Amazon, Jugnoo, KPMG, Infosys, Mu Sigma, Optum , Zscaler

Placements start from 7th sem . Number of offers there 205. Around 90 % students get placed in the required and dream companies. My plans are to get a good job after my degree.

Overall this is the moderate college. The placement is like normal not best. The social life is the best. The hostel life is best too. The academic course is appropriate for the good knowledge.

Well as it is situated in the south campus of Panjab University, it remains unnoticed inspite of its huge percentage of students in the University. Most of the vote bank lies in UIET during the annual Student Council Elections.

College is amazing if this is best college you are getting based on your jee rank don't think twice choose this college you wouldn't regret it
