Remarks

You have to qualify JEE main with a rank inside the cut-off for the college. You will find the application form at jac Chandigarh website which has an application fee of 2500 rupees. The application process starts after JEE main results are announced. Keep checking the website for updates. There are reservations in college as there are in any other government college. Details are provided on the website. The admission process is simple and hassle-free.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course due to better job opportunities and my interest in this particular field. The student-to-faculty ratio is good.There are 2 sections made for our batch so that it easy for teachers. All faculties are PhDs with a few pursuing their PhDs. There are 2 mid terms in a semester and one majors.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee gets hiked every few years. The hike is few thousand rupees only. There are few scholarships present which you can avail. You get internships opportunities easily through College.College professor gives opportunity to work with them on projects.

Campus Life

There is an acultural feat called Goonj. You can also attend various Panjab University fest as you are a university student if you take admission in this college. There is a college library and also AC Joshi library of Panjab University. There are various sports facilities in Panjab University. There various clubs you can join.

The curriculum is mostly based on theoretical aspects as the course itself is bachelor of engineering there can be more practical aspects but the overall difficulty level is medium i would say and these are durable

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

form 3rd year college placements get started but student can do side internship by themself in 1st and 2nd year offcampus type , there is no restriction from our college . in 2023 atlasian give highest package of 83 lpa . various companies like microsoft , jp morgan , american express come to PEC for hiring .

Its more than an average decent college you can surely come here.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location. It is situated in main Chandigarh and very near to my home. Moreover, it's placements are better than both of them....Read More
