Likes

The teachers are very helpful and help students in any way they can .
The social life is very good with a lot of clubs and helpful seniors .

Dislikes

There is no coding environment .
Students can get distracted from the city culture
be prepared to be around some unsober students

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is based of the current industry patterns and is really good . There could be areas of improvements in terms of first year subjects but other than that its very good . the frequency of exams is good and sufficient time is given . they are of moderate level depending on the subject teachers

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is 125000 . It is payed around 40000 in the odd semester and 85000 in the even semester . The college fees is increasing at 10percent every year for new grads. There is no reservation on fees for SC/ST students but the students with ews have a 75 percent relief .

Campus Life

The campus life is awesome as it should be . The campus is lush green filled with cheerful students . The club involvement is also great if you are willing to be a part . Sports are given priority and many students succeed in their sports domain .

Admission

This college has a good academic environment and very helpful seniors . The place is also good as there are many opportunities here . The eligibilty criteria is jee mains score and a minimum of 65 percent in board examinations

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is balanced and the faculties are easily approached as they are willing to help . Some good faculties are Mr. jagjot singh , Mrs. Kalpana dahia . There are 3 exams , 2 minors( midsems) out of which best one is used and the final exams(endsems)

Night Life

The nightlife is filled with hustling and hardwork . While some students wonder around for fun , some make projects in their hostel rooms . It is preety safe for everyone . The best part is there is no time limit at night unlike other colleges , students can come and leave their hostels anytime .

Placement Experience:

The placement at uiet chandgarh is quite decent and steadily improving , especially in core branches . Students become eligile for in campus placements from 7th semester . Some big companies also comes for placement like infosys , wipro ,tcs,accenture , ibm.

Is pec Chandigarh worth it

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from 6th semester onwards most of the big companies do visit our campus like apple Flipkart Microsoft Google airbus and most of the big companies come in our placement I package for electrical branch in 2025 was 52 lpa and the average median package remained about 13 LPA for2025 the data isn't out yet but typically 72to 75 percent students get placed in my branch my plans after the degree is to get a stable corporate job of 18+lpa

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

After the second year all the students become eligible for campus placement No big MNCs came into our college As per the student they offers and the highest package is around 20 lakhs and average package is 3 lakhs Almost 90 percents are getting the placements I am also preparing for the placements

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
