Likes

All are friendly. There is no ragging in college or hostels
It is in Chandigarh, so you can visit many places.
Great Alumini network, all alumini are in famous companies.

Dislikes

Only some students are able to get hostels.

Course Curriculum Overview

I think course curriculum is ok. Well there are some subjects they should put in the course like ML, App Development, Cyber security. Exams are held in december and May. In first year there is summer training also which is after exams.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 115000 per year

Placement Experience

In 7th sem companies started to visit our college and in 8th sem placed students go for internship in their placed companies. Till now IT branch got most oncampus placement then CSE. Highest is always above 50LPA and avg. is approx 10LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

First year fee is 115000 and it increases year by year. You only have to pay tution fee and exam fee. And registration fee at the time of admission. There are many scholorships you can apply. As for scholorship you have to check yourself

Campus Life

We have GOONJ which is held in feb or march and there many small fests like UTSAV. There is one fest also UMANG which is held by Sports committee. Our college sports team also go to many sports tournaments held in IIT, NIT and other colleges.

Admission

I had applied for aktu also but there allotment letter came very late. In JOSAA i couldn't make it to any gov. College, i had low percentile in JEE. You can get admission through jee mains percentile. You have to apply for JAC Chandigarh.

Faculty

All faculty members are highly educated. Well i will not disclose his name but professor who will professional communication in 1st year is my favourite, bcz when he teaches, you will see his dedication and at the end of semester you will also say he has changed you. There are 2 minors and 1 major in every sem. Best of 2 minors are included.

Night Life

There are gym, canteen and reading room in every hostel. Hostels are 24×7 open. Famous hangout places like Stuc, sukana lake, rose garden, Elante mall. There is Kasauli, Shimla in Himachal which are approx 2-3 hour from chandigarh.

- from sixth semester, some seniors have received the PPOs - companies like apple,bmw,mahindra,paytm, hire -%placement is not that good, its 55-60% for mechanical and 85-90% for CSE -highest is 60-65lpa as latest and average is 12-13lpa -plans are getting a placement , if not, i will do mtech from abroad

Placement Experience:

Placement are provided by the college and Good offers are made by the companies. Like in cse , ece and ee have good placements but in lower branch percentage placements is a bit lower, but overall average and median package is good ( 70%) Highest placement was 61 lpa of 2025 median was 13 lpa.

Punjab Engineering College through an Unfiltered lens .

Placement Experience:

placement stats of my college is great. Better than most of the colleges out there . Even better than many NITs and IIITs , with an avg package of 14-16 LPA . And every year the Median and Avg package is increasing . Highest package till now - 83 LPA . Students are allowed for campus placements after 5th semister All the big companies out there , from Google , microsoft , amazon to Delloete , JP Morgan , AmericanExpress , to seimens, oracle , L&T , all companies come here . around 70-75% students gets placed from here My plan is to get the highest paying job offer possible for me , that's it .

The curriculum is mostly based on theoretical aspects as the course itself is bachelor of engineering there can be more practical aspects but the overall difficulty level is medium i would say and these are durable

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC life in a nutshell

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in first year and first year is same for all branches, so I don't know a lot about electrical engineering specifically. But of what I have heard from seniors, electrical branch is more difficult, and in pec u get not that many core companies. While u get a lot of finance, IT, coding etc companies.

Placement Experience:

Yes,very good college placements are available in our college.Students of 8 semester that is 4th year students are eligible for campus placement Companies such as TCS,wipro,amex,gemini solutions and etc many more companies are there for placement 60-80% students got placed in the companies with an average package of 8 lakhs and with a highest package of 35 lakhs Iam oriented towards govt jobs and in future if I will be interested in coding sector I will do preparation for off campus and specifically for Rubrik

Placement Experience:

Placement do occur in the college. It's average package is around 7.5, lakh. Since I am the first year right now, I don't have data to support the placement record, but some of my seniors of fourth year are getting placed. One of my IT senior got placed for 14 LPA and other other, my Cse senior got placed for around 12 LPA. so opportunities are there for those who want to do something

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location. UIET , Chandigarh College Review

I got around 85000 rank in jee mains . It was one of the best option for me considering its ranking and structure. It is a government college and is under Panjab University campus ,hence it has all the facilities and is well connected. Life is good here .
